I really, really want to go to Texas -- to see the real country, not just the cities! This book will lead me to the most beautiful areas.
TEXAS HILL COUNTRY
A SCENIC JOURNEY
PHOTOGRAPHY BY ERIC W. POHL
This book showcases the soft side of Texas through its blue bell fields, wooded canyons, mossy waterfalls, water of different colors in caves, a similar to Arizona slide rock park, ferns growing out of rocks
the artistic and pop side through the cowboy shoe fences, sunlight, fog landscape pictures, where autumn falls hard on rocks,
You will be introduced to many different landscapes and realise that all Texas is not rugged...
This is a beautifully illustrated book about the Texas Hill Country. This is a little bit of introductory text but highlight of the book is the photographs. The author does a good job of capturing the beauty of the area in all seasons. Enjoy this armchair trip through the Texas Countryside.
Good overall pictures of the Texas Hill Country. It is a beautiful are & author captured it really well!
Absolutely gorgeous - I had no idea Texas actually had greenery! I have a very stereotypical Pacific Northwesterner's view of Texas, in that I've only ever seen it in Westerns. I've never actually been there and have no plans on going, but this book is pretty convincing. There is clearly way more to Texas than just awful political news, terrible hot weather and tumbleweeds. I need to travel more, clearly. Except I can't really afford to travel, so I look at photobooks instead :)
I read this book 3 times and loved it so much. I was looking for a local travel guide book to give me ideas for short day trips and this is the one. The book is filled with pictures of places I had no idea was so close. If traveling through the Hill Country in Texas and are looking for some really pretty destinations, this is the book for you.
Foe those who think of Texas in terms of its cities, like Dallas or Austin, or its oil fields, this book will come as a delightful surprise. Texas is home to some of the most beautiful countryside in the United States with canyons, mountains and streams that will surprise many readers. Absolutely stunning and not to be missed
