The blurb of this book sounded good. A second chance sports romance with two main characters, Carver and Logan, who were each others first loves. Unfortunately, I often found Carver unlikeable and there was too much back and forth between him and Logan. I could understand her hesitance, but she so quickly fell back into things with him. It felt rushed and I just couldn't connect with either character.
I really wanted to read this story. I saw that it had a name change but it will not let me download the first book so I can start the series. So I will not share my review or my rating of this book.
A perfect story of young summer love and a second chance romance. It was cute and well written. Immersive and entertaining.
Sierra Hill is hitting up all of my weaknesses with this series - now we have a second chance romance featuring high-school (ish) sweethearts that reconnect YEARS later. This one hit close to home for me and that made it some much more intense and emotional and I'm not mad about it! I really enjoyed that dual POV and the flashbacks that allowed us to get a well-rounded view of the couple while still maintaining some mystery about what led them to where they are in the present. Although I had an idea what the big pivotal "event" was, because of the way the story is written it still hit me in all the feels. I also appreciated getting to understand why Carter is the way that is when we initially meet him in Sweetness. Sweet Summer Love packs an emotional punch and kept me riveting from the first page through to the fantastic epilogue. 4.5 out of 5 wine glasses.

This was my first book by Sierra Hill, and it most definitely will not be my last. I was hooked on this story immediately, and I sped through this in one sitting.
Told with some flashbacks to their past, but mostly in the present, the story of Logan and Carver unfolds. And boy what a story. At about 26% there is a huge revelation I totally did not see coming. Once Logan and Carver talk about their past, which happens quite nicely before the first half of the book is over, the focus is on the present and what type of relationship they can have, if at all, now.
I enjoyed the fact that there was a low amount of angst in this, and the characters actually communicated well for the most part.
I liked both main characters and I was rooting for them to get their HEA. This was a little bit of an emotional rollercoaster and I was hanging on every word. My only real complaint is that there was not a real lot of closure for me as a reader in terms of Jeremy. I definitely would have liked a bit more there.
I truly loved this book thought, and I cannot wait to read more from this author in future.

Sweet summer love is second chance romance. Logan and Carver meet as teenagers in summer camp and are each other first love. But everything changes when Logan is 17 years old. So years later they path cross again and they are both bitter and are not living the life to its fullest. But jet again they start seeing each other and after finding the truth they can reunite. Logan is still afraid to be left behind but, Carver proves that he is ready to fight for her. Interesting story in which author combines present and the past. WHat I didn't like was the jung Carver and Logan they were acting and thinking like adults like they were not different in the past. Carver is still a little bit childish in his grown up age. Logan, I don't know I didn't fell in love with her characters she was ok.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly
Carver and Logan were summer camp sweethearts. They made a pact that what happened during the summer only happened in the summer and both chose not to contact the other throughout the rest of the year. However, when circumstances changed Logan was stuck with some tough decisions to make on her own.
Years later, Logan and Carver reconnect and their love continued to blossom as if they never were apart.
This was a sad, but great read. I loved the connection the characters had and it was nice they were finally able to get the HEA.
I loved the chemistry between Carver and Logan. I sweet light hearted love story. This story puts you on the love roller coaster. The story starts out with young love, then has the teens grow the separate and go different ways, The get thrown back together many years later and eventually pick up where they left off
Would love to read something by this author again! The story was well thought out and the characters were very likable!
Sweet Summer Love is, like any good NA story, a tad emotional, and sweet and sexy. Logan and Carver spent their teen summers together at camp falling in love, but never seeing each other at any other time but summer. They lived in different parts of the state, he was from a rich family, and she was from a poor family. Carver promised Logan forever, but things happened and she never saw him again until 5 years later when she was on a date at a college basketball game and Carver was the star player for one of the teams.
As they fall back into a relationship, things are revealed and their second chance just might be within reach. But, as Carver prepares to be drafted into the NBA and they deal with the consequences of their past actions, and those of some people close to them, how will they deal? Can Logan deal with Carver's new lifestyle as a professional athlete? Can they ever forgive those who hurt them in the past?
Sweet Summer Love is a sweet, sexy second chance romance. It is definitely NA, so if that isn't your thing, you might want to look elsewhere. However, if you like NA, and all the emotional goings on that NA brings to the table, then definitely check out Sweet Summer Love!
Good story, light reading and fast. Carver and Logan have a second chance in life than give hope to humanity.
I received a ARC from Netgalley for a honest review.

I absolutely love Sierra Hill's books! She is following Addison Moore's 3AM Kisses Series, but it is not quite the same.
This book was great with the story-line from how Logan and Carver met to the jump backs on their relationship. Sierra really keeps you guessing throughout the book as to why these two ended things and what happened! Well it is quite the shocker, but in the end everything works out in this book!
Great story, and amazing characters... I cannot wait to read more books from the talented Sierra Hill!
I enjoyed this book. When I read the synopsis I was excited and eager to read it. The story line was something. I was looking for in a new read. Although I do have to say there are some points in the book where things are over explained and drag on. I wanted to get to the point, but it took forever to get there. I would recommend this to someone who's looking for a quick summer read, and would probably read more from this author in the future.
Sierra Hill's Sweet Summer Love could have a better title, but not better characters. She rounds out Carver and Logan, but also takes the time to delve into their personal lives and give them both caring, quirky friends. For readers who enjoy Susan Wiggs, especially the first of her books set at summer camp, you'll enjoy this one as well. I would've loved to read more about their camp relationship, but it was cute nonetheless. Not for the faint of heart, though!
Sweet Summer Love, was just that. Sweet. It was well written and it was easy to connect with the characters. Definitely would recommend.
First: this is not my normal reading fare, so to speak. I do like a YA or NA sometimes, but there has to be something to lure me in. I really enjoyed the second book in this series (Sweet Girl), so I did not hesitate when this came available for request at NetGalley.
I gave it 4 stars, mostly for the writing and the emotions it caused. It is a good NA story with lots of emotion and a sensitive subject (view spoiler). The storyline had me choking up so that is actually good but on the other hand it was not good as I don't really like how the story ended. It does have a HFN ending but there was something I was hoping for that could not be and was not rational to hope for.
This story well written and enjoyable but just wasn't something new, girl and boy meet young, fall in love but problems arise they are separated for years only to come back together, the magic is still there and bam HEA. It strayed from that formula here and there but overall it's like a lot of other stories. The only problem I had was I was unable to forgive Carver for his wrong doings in the story and felt Logan did to easily, in fact I thought she took too much of it on herself and I hate when at the end of a story I'm not as much in love with the hero as the heroine.
