There are times in life when you have no other choice but to make a fresh new start. Only problem is that Shay has no clue where or even how to get that new life started. She’d done something stupid. Well, helping your brother out of trouble shouldn’t be stupid, only doing the wrong thing that put her behind prison walls would certainly qualify. Now she’s faced with rebuilding a life, with a record. The church seemed like a good place to sit and think, maybe even send up a small prayer. She couldn’t have known that she was in exactly the right place at the right time to start something new… perhaps far more than she could have dreamed possible for her.

Drew has been in mourning over his wife’s lost battle to cancer for years now. As a pastor he knows that she is in God’s hands now, only as a man who loved his wife he really wants her at his side, raising their kids together. Illogical he knows, especially for a man of faith but the heart feels what it wants, and he wants his wife. His family, his congregation are suffering as a result of his continued grief. It’s time to make a life decision. He couldn’t have known that part of his healing was sitting in his church pews right now doing her own soul searching. By reaching out to help a stranger Drew has set his feet upon a path to his future. But nothing always runs smoothly. In time he and Shay will have to face some difficult times. Will what they begin here in this quiet church pew stand the tests to come?

Any Dream Will Do is such a lovely second chance at life story. You can’t help but feel for both Shay and Drew. We’ve all made stupid mistakes and paid for them, most of us have lost a loved one to death and question why for a very long time. This couple isn’t all that different from the average person walking down the street in your own home town… only the circumstances might be slightly different. Drew and Shay begin with a tentative friendship which grows slowly, steadily over time. It feels real, it feels natural and it just feels right for them. When trouble comes calling they will have choices to make. I liked this couple very much. I believe you would as well.

If you’re looking for a realistic, natural moving romance with believable characters then I’d highly recommend Any Dream Will Do. Debbie Macomber once again delivers a touching story with faith, hope and love deeply involved. She is one of my favorite, go to authors and if you haven’t discovered her yet then this story would be a lovely place to start.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

This is a must read story about second chances, building friendships and finding love when you least expect it! The story line has regret, guilt, hope and faith. This is an emotional read and I found it hard to put down. The characters are strong but are also vulnerable. With faith and love, anything is possible!

From the first to the last page this story became a compelling page-turner, and I could just see it unfold like a TV movie, and it sure would make a great one.
Shay Benson has not had an easy life, and early on took responsibility for her brother, and in the end it costs her dearly to the point she ends up in jail.
Fate or not, I believe God had a hand in bringing her just where she needed to be on that December day, and just where Pastor Drew needed her to be. Yes, he needed her as much as she needed him, and in turn they are the saving of each other, and the beginning of new lives.
This story has it all, so much love and compassion for fellow man, no matter their station in life. Shay ends up worming her way into the hearts of Drew’s children, and of course Drew, but will the parish ever accept him having a relationship with a convicted felon?
There are life lessons here for everyone, from a little child to an elderly person, from the rich to people living on the street, and you see God working with all of them. A book you don’t want to miss!
I received this book through Net Galley and Random House Publishing Group, and was not required to give a positive review.

Two people from very different backgrounds meet and change each others lives A Pastor and an Ex Con meet by chance and change each others lives in ways either could ever imagine. A very sweet romance develops between both of them as they each have obstacles to overcome..

I've read nearly every Debbie macomber book there is and she NEVER disappoints! This was a great book and I would recommend to everyone! Loved it!

This is a beautifully told story of mistakes, loss, redemption, healing, faith and love. It's a Debbie Macomber book so we know the writing and characters are top notch but the emotions this story evoke are definitely kicked up a notch.

Shay Benson has made mistakes and paid the price in prison. On the day of her release with no were to go she stumbles into a little church. This one act will have a huge impact on her life.

Pastor Drew Douglas has been going through the motions of living since the death of his wife. His two children need him to be better and he wants to be better but moving forward is hard. Then a woman enters his church who while dealing with her own life issues shows him the way to healing and moving forward.

This story is impactful and simply not to be missed!

A moving read about second chances and keeping your faith handy even when times are tough! Great characters, fun connections, lots of lessons learned, and just a general good feeling book!

Shay Benson didn't have a great life, but she was on solid footing towards bettering herself when she was faced with a personal dilemma. With the path she chose, she broke trust and confidences and lost her way. Now trying to pick up the pieces, she stumbles into a church to get warm for a few minutes and meets the man that will change her life.

Pastor Drew Douglas is trying to feel his way out of the despair his life became after losing his wife. His two children pull him out of his mind and make him function day after day, and he knows he needs to move forward in whatever way he can. He stumbles upon Shay in the church and offers her comfort. His kindness and the program he refers her to helps her greatly. When they touch base again and she meets and connects with his kid, they strike up a friendship and see each other on occasion ... eventually turning romantic!

I really enjoyed reading Any Dream Will Do. It was not your typical Debbie Macomber story but still had you cheering for the characters and happy that you spent the time reading the book.

Debbie Macomber has given us a lovely story reminding us that while there are no re-dos in life, there are new beginnings that can change our current life for the better. Such is the case for Shay Benson and Pastor Drew Douglas in Any Dream Will Do. On opposite ends of the spectrum of life but both need a change for the better in their lives.

Characters that you care about in situations that are entirely believable are part of what makes this such a strong book. Like the reality it mirrors, there is sorrow and joy in this book as the characters make tough decisions. I found it uplifting and inspiring which is often the case for a Debbie Macomber book. Any Dream Will Do is a deep meaningful powerful book.

The publisher through Net Galley provided a copy.

I am a huge Debbie Macomber fan, so I was excited to read and review this book. I have to say, I think this is one of her best! Shay, the main character, is someone you want to root for from the beginning. She tries to help her brother, her lone remaining family member, and ends up paying a huge price for it. The characters all seem so life-like that you feel as if they are standing there before you while the story unfolds. This is definitely a must read!

Any Dream Will Do by Debbie Macomber is a book about starting all over again, learning to move on, and figuring out how to change your life. This is listed as a stand alone book and focuses on faith, second chances and prayer. It is not my usual read and I started out unsure, but found as the book continued that it was a sweet romance, with enough twists and turns to keep me interested. I felt like the problems the two main characters went through were appropriate and realistic to the storyline.

Not having many choices or supports and her younger brother Caden dragging her down, Shay Benson had a hard start to life. She was sent to prison when her brother managed to get her to steal for him. Now she is out of prison and starting again. Shay wandered into a church and found Pastor Drew Douglas. Drew helped Shay find a place to stay and reboot her life. Meanwhile Drew was still reeling from his wife’s death. He was struggling with his faith and he knew his children were struggling without their mother.

Drew and Shay seemed to connect and as the story continued might have found each other. The past is never just the past and people are less forgiving than you would hope, which add to the challenges that Drew and Shay face.

Any Dream Will Do by Debbie Macomber is a good read. It is a sweet romance and second chances.

I have read many of Debbie Macomber's books and thoroughly loved them but this one I could take or leave. The subject of redemption and of making a new start is a great one but I felt the novel was almost too preachy for me. It is well written but, for me, reads more for a person who has faith already and is looking for a feel good story.
Shay is left on the doorstep of a SEattle church by the bus that has brought her out of prison and back into the world. She is cold, hungry and broke with no job, home, or money. She wanders into the church because it is warm and open. There she meets Drew, the young pastor. He is struggling with his faith and his life since her lost his wife. He ends up being the answer to Shay's immediate problems but finding her housing and getting her into a job/housing program.
Shay has many battles ahead of her in adjusting to life and in finding trust in anyone. She shows strong inner character and a will to succeed. Things are going well until her drug addict brother returns and everything begins to fall apart once again for Shay.

Dreams. Perhaps they're of a nice house, a fancy car, a stunning vacation at a five star resort. The list of possibilities is endless because be it big, small, or somewhere in between- everybody has dreams.

But what if you'd come to find your life completely in shambles? What if you were so far gone down the trail of despair and defeat that you couldn't even begin to cobble together any semblance of an idea about what your dreams were? How terrible a place it must be to live in if you have no dreams. No dreams; no hope.

Shay isn't a dreamer; those days have long since past. Her life's been no picnic, but she chose her path. She's been the victim time and again, though she's only got herself to blame. That's why, when a chance at a new start presents itself, she can hardly see it for what it is. Sure, it could be just another chance to fail, to prove she really is worthless and deserving of the life she finds herself in. Or, better yet, it could be exactly the opportunity she's so desperate for.

Drew is a young widow who has lost his faith along with his wife. Making this double loss so phenomenally tragic is the fact that Drew is a pastor. His role is to teach the Word of God and lead by example, yet his own losses have shaken his faith to its core. He wants to be a good pastor and an ever better father to his two young children; however, he feels like he's spiraling beyond hope.

Hope, dreams, redemption, and love- all of these are exactly what Shay needs if she's ever going to turn her life around. It just so happens they're exactly what our young minister also so desperately requires.

Any Dream Will Do is a sweet contemporary romance that doesn't shy away from a truly wholesome yet enjoyable storyline. The topics of religion, Christianity, and God are prevalent within this novel and rightfully so. As always, Macomber's characters bring their faith and beliefs to the pages without it coming across as preachy or in anyway offensive, no matter your faith or lack there of.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for providing me with this early review copy.

Shay and Caden lost their mom. Shay felt responsible for him. He was involved with drugs and not too nice people. Caden knew how to play her to get what he wanted. She worked at a bank which was her dream job. He convinced her to "borrow some money" from the bank and he would get it back for her in a few days. She got caught and he was no where around. She went to prison for three years.
After she is released , she finds a church to pray and meets Drew, the pastor who recently lost his wife to cancer. He hears her story and sends her to a place to help her with her return to life without prison.
This was a totally different book than she usually writes...think there will be more to come.
I enjoyed it a lot.

This was a surprisingly quick read. I quickly fell in love with the main character, Shay. The story goes between her and Drew, the pastor she meets after getting out of prison.

Drew is a widower with 2 children, a young girl and a teenage boy. Shay is a child abuse survivor from the wrong side of tracks. She has a big heart, but 3 years in prison left her feeling bitter.

This story just made my heart swell. I'll be honest, Christian fiction usually makes me cringe. Often when that is the selling point, that seems to be the only thing the author has to offer.

This is just a well written, sweet story of love, forgiveness and redemption. And the kind of romance that makes you go, "awwww!"

Debbie Macomber is one of my favorite authors so it's always a treat to read one of her books. Usually I'm not a person who like it when the character is the writer of the book. I like this one because the unique perspective of how the author wrote it. Instead just seeing things from one main character's perspective you saw both Drew and Shay's look at what was happening to them. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't more of a romance between the two and that it seemed to end a little unexpectedly. I was reading and all the sudden it was the end and I had to go and make sure that it was actually the end of the book, was really caught up in the story.

I think this may be my favorite book by Debbie Macomber. I just fell in love with the whole family. It may just be the right book at the right time. LOL. Shay did what a lot of people have done, trying to help someone they knew they could not depend on to do what they said. What can you do, when your only family needs your help. I loved Richard and Sadie. I enjoyed the kids, as usual. Shay touches everyone's lives just by doing the little things in life. Bringing a cup of coffee and visiting with people, braiding hair, keeping secrets, baking cookies. I felt like I was losing my family when the book ended.
