Skye is a greeter inside the pearly gates, it's her job to introduce you to heaven and help you acclimate. While doing her duties she briefly meets Ryan Blaine, to whom she can't seem to get off of her mind. What is so special about this man and why does he continue to invade her thoughts. When she learns that she is about to be sent to earth for the first time she doesn't think she is ready and wonders why she was chosen. This book touched my heart from the beginning and had me believing in miracles by the end. It was truly a heavenly read and I'm glad I was given the opportunity to read it. I look forward to picking up more books from this author, if they are anything like this one I'm sure to fall in love.

This is a sweet romantic comedy that immediately invests you in the characters!

I admit it, at times while I was reading this I was thoroughly confused about where the story was going. There are a number of POVs, and they didn't have any connection at all from what I could see. But the different angles were still interesting so I kept reading, figuratively scratching my head. It finally linked up late in the story (at maybe the 75% mark?), and it was a thing of beauty when it all came together.
I hope no one gives away the plot twist, because it's something you won't see coming and It. Is. Something. Else. I loved it.
p.s. This book isn't about religion or the Christian agenda; the title refers more to a... place ;)

I was surprised at how much I liked this light, entertaining, yet thoughtful novel. Gillespie has written a tale of hearts meeting across, well, space and time. This isn't a religious book; Beatles songs are used as a frame rather than Bible verses. Skye the "greeter" is taken aback by her feelings about newly arrived Ryan who goes back to Earth, propelling Skye herself to dip her toe there as well. The various others you'll meet will all link up and all will make sense in the end. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. This is the sort of affirming book that is a good read during these turbulent and argumentative times. Thumbs up for a positive read.

This book is totally different to my usual reads, I read a lot of thrillers , urban fantasy and even Sci Fi, but I like to try a different genre every now and again, and I really enjoyed this book.I thought it was well written and funny, laugh out loud funny at times,.so be careful if you are reading in a public place! I thought Skye was a brilliant character, and so were many of the other characters it was a real feel good book and it came at a time when I really appreciated a light, fun read.If Heaven was really as described in this book then we are all going to have a blast on the other side, wouldn't it be wonderful, all the great places mentioned showed great imagination and a great sense of fun.Sounds wonderful to me.I did see the way the book was going to pan out, but that was fine it wasn't meant to be a thriller and I liked the way it was structured.I am desperately trying not to give anything away,I don't want to spoil the fun for anyone else. All I will say is that even if like me this is not your usual genre if you are looking for a light, funny read with great characters and a real feel good factor, this is the book for you, I thought it was great. Thanks to the publishers and netgalley for letting me have an ARC in return for an honest review.

This was a well-written, entertaining, sweet book. Multiple characters are described, including Skye, who is a greeter in Heaven, welcoming the newly departed and providing an orientation. This version of Heaven is very fun and includes a form of reality tv where those in Heaven can watch those on Earth. Some of the people living on Earth are also characters described in the book. There were several story lines which eventually merge to present the full picture. I enjoyed this book and plan to go read the other books by this author.

"You have friends in Heaven to help you. Earth dwellers are assigned a guardian angel, who will be like their own private genie in a bottle, if only they ask."
A perfect feel good story about Heaven.
Emily is in a coma. Her earth angel ,Caroline talks her back in to the world of the living with songs and constant chatter from her nursing home room, and helps her find her life before she was severely injured.
This book will make you stop and listen to those "voices" and "nudges" we all hear and feel but often choose to ignore!

Divinely Yours by Karin Gillespie. Henery Press. Romance, Women's Fiction. Publication date is set for 26 Sep 2017. 5 Stars. Human spaces replicated in heaven without any of the aftereffects—or hangovers--of normal earthly life. What we have here is an adorable tale of divine romance that I would love to see as a TV series not far in the future. What a treat that would be. This clean romance that crosses dimensions will go straight into your heart—and tickle your funny bone on the way. Spontaneity along with a superb writing style makes this an enjoyable read with a strong moral of how loves crosses all boundaries to heal the human heart. Highly recommend! Thanks to NetGalley and Henery Press for providing this ebook for review.

Divinely Yours, by Karin Gillespie, is a very unique take on the hereafter. Skye Sebrring sees herself as a new soul, one that has been formed recently and has not spent time on Earth. Her position in heaven is that of greeter, the entity who actually greets new arrivals.
When she is given the great honor as a young soul to be sent to Earth, Skye is resistant. She cannot understand why the SB (supreme being) would choose her. The reason becomes much more apparent as the story progresses.
Her best friend, Rihanna, is made a guardian angel at the same time, her charge is to assist her friend as she transitions to her life on Earth. This is where the story takes some interesting turns.
A very different story with a beautiful take on the afterlife, I did enjoy the thorough descriptions of Heaven and the author's vision. Once on Earth, I was a bit confused and kept waiting for the guardian angel to appear. However, the story came around to a lovely ending and I did enjoy the story overall. I would recommend this book.

A wonderfully funny tale. If heaven is anything like the description in this story, I want to go there.

Setting: Heaven and Earth
Main Characters: Skye Sebring, hospitality greeter in Heaven; Ryan Blaine, son of a former U.S. President who meets Skye when he has a near-death experience
Plot: Skye never understood why new souls were so eager to go to Earth. After all, she lives in Heaven and what could be better? Readers meet Skye when she is introduced to a 13-year-old girl who has just died and arrived in Heaven. As Skye explains to the teen where she is and helps to get her settled in, readers get a unique look at Karin Gillespie's version of Heaven. Life carries on for Skye and the souls behind the Pearly Gates until Skye learns that she has been selected to be "born." She's puzzled and troubled at the same time - even more so when she meets a new "client," Ryan Blaine, who, after arriving in her guest chair, returns back to Earth. But Skye can't stop thinking about Ryan - there's something so familiar about him and she just can't place the feeling.
Pacing: Steady
Predictability: Medium - higher if you're a Hallmark movie fan like me!
Wild Card: Divinely Yours is a sweet and funny romance story. It's a quick read, too; mainly because Karin Gillespie hooks her readers into book with an inventive and witty take on heaven. This book is the literary equivalent of an ensemble film like "Love Actually." I really liked the story overall - it was a joy to see how each of the characters fit together as the full narrative unfolded.

A whimsical hereafter populated by characters like Skye Sebring, Greeter in the Hospitality Sector of Heaven is skillfully blended to offset the sadness of earthly-life endings.
When an earth bound, comatose Emily becomes a roommate of elderly Caroline, it is Caroline's love and faith that pulls life back into Emily and the story becomes one of hope and romance that leaves a smile on your face and a Beatles' song in your heart.
Karin Gillespie has outdone herself! Bravo!

This was such a fun read! So, without giving too much of the plot away, it centres on an angel in heaven called Skye and some people down on Earth and their lives intertwine over time.
I loved the lightheartedness of the novel. For example, God is a 'She', the angels in Heaven all watch a reality TV show based on the lives of people down on Earth and there are lots of references to Beatles songs. I raced through the book because I was desperate to see how it ended. This is a great summer read - perfect for the beach!
I had never heard of this author before but I will now definitely read more by her. Highly recommended!
