This book was just so good and I just lost myself in the story. I will most definitely be reading more books by this wonderful author.

I received an Advance Reader Copy from the publisher via NetGalley. This in no way impacted on my view.

With only one debt left to repay, Jeremy Landon, Earl of Bennington, will finally be free from the burden of his late uncle, and able to live his life without scandal. However, the last debt is not one that can be repaid with money, and instead Jeremy is told he has to marry the ward of Lady Rushworth to be free of his debt. The only issue is that the ward in question has a beau who she plans on marrying in a few weeks, as soon as she turns 21. Lady Eliza Burke can't believe her mother would stoop so low, and writes to Jeremy to convince him not to go through with the marriage, but he won't listen. It's interesting that Jeremy doesn't know the name of his fiancee though, isn't it?

This was such a quick read, I should have read it as soon as I got my copy. I liked Eliza and Jeremy, though their insta-lust, and then them not doing anything about it was a little grating. I liked how they grew closer to each other, though I do wish Eliza had opened up to Jeremy about why she was upset in the company of a certain gentleman sooner. Even so, I do understand why she was hesitant to let on what had happened in the past. Not much really happened in the book though, and I do think that you probably should have read the previous books as they mentioned some of Jeremy's cousins regularly, and kept making reference to the previous Earl, and his debts and scandal, which I didn't know about as this was the only book in the series I've read. It was still an enjoyable read though, one for fans of the Regency era.

Jeremy, Earl of Bennington, has spent ten years paying off his uncle's debts. He will do anything to avoid scandal. One debt is left to pay to Lady Rushmore. One tough lady, he suddenly makes a promise to marry her ward. Lady Elizabeth Rosamund Burke must stop the earl from marrying her cousin, who is in love with someone else. Elizabeth takes her place and marries the Earl without telling him who she is. One secret and another will cause misunderstandings. For a man who has no heart, Elizabeth changes his perception of love. Heat level 3.

I really wanted to like this book, but I ended up DNFing it. I didn't care for the writing style, the tropes, or the leads. It was all just very flat for me. I was 36% in and the leads had no kind of chemistry, love or hate. Oh well, not every book is going to be a personal winner.

Well,I rather enjoyed this book. Eliza and Bennington were terrific. I thought that the writer did a wonderful job of telling her readers a story about a couple, who embark on the struggles that they suffer through within their own families. Eliza’s mother angered me so much. When Bennington arrived into her life, I was glad that Eliza didn’t have to face down her mother alone.
Now I love the interaction between Bennington and his family. The writer did a wonderful job of showing the support that he had from his mother. I liked that the book moved fast for me. It was an easy read. I can say that I was able to follow and understand the storyline.
I didn’t find the romance and or courtship between Eliza and Bennington bland or basic. It was very intriguing with the hot flirting that was happening between the two. I will say that the intimate scenes needs some attention. Give the readers all the juiciness that we crave. Throw caution to the wind.
Open up your mind and write what you picture in your mind and don’t hold back. You got this. With that, I liked the book. Until next time my fellow readers… read on.

To Seduce a Lady’s Heart is entertaining, well paced, and very enjoyable. It’s the third book of the series but I was able to enjoy without reading the previous two books. The characters in the story were imperfect, emotional, and realistic— they were perfect for each other. Every time I read a story that includes a marriage of convenience I often find myself wondering how I would react to that first night together as man and wife. I think the author handles that situation perfectly in this story — which was a refreshing change from a lot of other stories that tend to gloss over the awkwardness.

If you enjoy watching a man, who proclaims to have no heart, fall in love. This book is for you!

Lord Jeremy Landon, Earl of Bennington, spent the last ten years rebuilding the ruined earldom he inherited from his scandal-ridden uncle. He has one final debt to repay. In lieu of money, though, he is manipulated into marrying a spinster. Lady Eliza Burke is tired of living under the rule of a tyrannical mother. She'll do anything to escape, even marry a man she doesn't know—and a man her mother despises. Eliza doesn't believe herself destined for love. Lord Bennington doesn't believe he's destined for happiness. Both are about to be tested by a scandal that could tear them apart forever.
This was a pretty good book. Both main characters are on determined mission. Jeremy: to fix the damage his uncle did, and Eliza: to get away from her domineering mother and protect her “cousin”. The characters were very well written. The book kept you going until the end. I highly recommend.

I really enjoyed Jeremy and Eliza's story!

Eliza marries Jeremy to save her cousin from a loveless marriage but also to get out from under her mother's thumb. Jeremy is jut trying to right the last of the wrongs that his uncle committed. I loved watching this marriage of convenience turn into one of love!

I'm excited to see what Hahn comes up with next!

This book was nicely put together. The two MC had a lot of confusion and misunderstandings. The two family did not view each other favorably. Jeremy was a great character and very honorable. Eliza was a little frustrating but in the end she did well. I totally think this book should be read on a nice rainy day. I received this book for a honest review from NetGalley.

I enjoyed Eliza and Jeremey's romance. I loved how different and fresh the circumstance that drew them together were. The growth of their attachment and love was enjoyable to read. The author's writing is wonderful, and she brought the story to life in a very pleasing manner with her descriptions. I recommend to lovers of historical romance

If I could kiss Ingrid Hahn I would! There are legitimately no words to describe how happy her hero made me in this novel. Despite some of his stupid actions due to his hurt pride, it was refreshing to find a male in a historical romance put faith in his wife and defend her. Not because he is in love with her or because she his wife, but because he truly believes the opposing party was wrong. Seriously. Bless you Hahn.

But moving on, I enjoyed this novel as a whole. There were certain things that aggravated me like the male lead not being able to see past his hurt pride at times. But their love can naturally rather the forced. It was a delight to read and I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Jeremy is a wonderful hero with a genuine heart. I kept reading to see him get his well deserved happy ending. Eliza was a very lucky girl.

I always find stories where the two main characters communicate via notes and letters to be charming. Their witty exchanges in the first few chapters had me liking the pair right from the beginning. Jeremy and Eliza both have an interesting backstory. Eliza didn't have an easy life with her overbearing mother and I thought that Jeremy was quite sensitive and understanding her past. He couldn't help caring for her even though he resented her deception.
This was a good regency romance and I would recommend it to fans of the genre.

I have to say this book made me laugh out loud but also made me wan to strangle some characters! It was not an easy happy love story; Eliza and Jeremys started with deception and distrust and it was hard to overcome. Both characters were shaped by their parents/family and had a lot to overcome....that in mind I wanted to throttle Jeremy and his stubbornness!! It is always a good book when it gets your emotions in a bunch!

Quite a good read from a new-to-me author!I wasn't really in the mood for a HR book and definitely not one that was the third book in a series from a completely new author. But, something urged me to read this book and I just did, and it was definitely enjoyable!

Both Jeremy and Eliza were great main characters! They did test my patience at times, but it was worth it!Jeremy just wanted to right the past wrongs. And though he's all tough on the outside, he's such a softie inside.Eliza is strong, determined and stubborn. She's ready to give up her freedom to ensure her cousin's happiness. Its not like she's had a great past with a controlling mother. She has a few secrets to hide too.But will she trust Jeremy with them?

This was a wonderful book that can be easily read as a standalone. And now after reading this, I definitely want to find out more about this series and read all the books! Can't wait to read more from this author!

“That’s what’s important? How things look?”

“How things look is of the utmost importance. The rest is nothing more than diversions and I don’t have time for diversions.” (Location 1263 39%)

This has been how Jeremy Landon, Earl of Bennington, has approached his life for the past ten years since inheriting the earldom. He has worked tirelessly to rebuild the earldom after his uncle had run it into and its reputation into the ground. He has ignored society, friends and most of his family and has become cynical. He has no real desire or room in his life for marriage except for the need of an heir.

Eliza, Lady Elizabeth Rosamund Burke, is the daughter of an earl and has a mother that is bitter, nasty and heartless. She has had a very traumatic experience that has caused her to believe she is destined to be a spinster. She knows family secrets and would move heaven and earth to keep them and not allow certain family members to be hurt. This is her motivation for her actions. She is a beautiful and smart woman that acts the victim to the point that I wanted to shake her! While she missed her father, whom she supposedly had a very good and trusting relationship, she seemed to dismiss it and not allow it to help her see good in people.

This was a new to me author. The blurb pulled me in but I struggled with the H & H. Yes, they each had noble reasons for their decisions, but the author failed to create a safe haven within the couple to allow them to grow together. The started as advisories and it did not really change until the very end of the story and it felt like a couple of pages got stuck together (I us a Kindle). There was a sudden jealousy in Jeremy, which in my opinion, he had not earned that privilege to have. Their intimate moments seemed to be more about him and it was only in the end that her pleasure really became important to him. At the 70% point, he decided that Eliza deserved the best of everything, but it didn’t change his demeanor from adversarial to loving until the very end. Their HEA did not warm slowly it just felt forced at the end. The reasons for Eliza’s caution with men was brought up but the actual justice was lost and that closure would have explained her change of heart in the end.

I am not writing this author off, there were glimmers of goodness to come. I will read more of her stories to see if this was just a fluke. I give this 3.5 stars.

To Seduce a Lady's Heart by Ingrid Hahn is Book 3 of the Landon Sisters Series. Although this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone.

Ms. Hahn is a newish-to-me author and so far I’m totally enjoying what’s been read and have not been disappointed. The description really had me wanting to read this story so when cracking open this baby and getting sucked in right from the get-go, I knew it was gonna be good. Heck, it was even better than what I had envisioned. Ms. Hahn threw a lil curve ball into the mix and what a great job she did of it. So many feels. You laugh, you cry, you want to slap and shake a mama, and of course there’s that one character-that shady, nasty man you just put a hurt on...no names shall be revealed but you’ll see who it is soon enough. When an author makes you feel like this about the characters in their stories, then they’ve done their job and done it well.
