As ways I would like to thank NetGalley and St Martins Press for providing us with a copy of this book that we could bring you this review.

I don't know how Jackie Ashenden keeps doing it but with each book I read in this series I hate Mr. De Santi more and more. I loved how Lorenzo is dead set in making sure he exposes his father and gets rid of the power he has over the company. The only problem he has is the spy that they are trying to put in his midsts. The one thing that no one not any of them ever think about or even imagine was that Kira didn't want to spy on Lorenzo and what he was plotting to do, nor did they think that should would tell him the truth of her being assigned as his intern was for. All they all thought was that Kira would do as she was told by her father since she carried so much guilt in her for what happened in the past. Kira has always had a deep affection for Lorenzo, since in her eyes he is the only person who has ever really seen her and helped her in figuring out how to channel her feelings and excess energy. That is the reason why she choses not to help her father in his plot to figure out what Lorenzo is up to and instead help Lorenzo in his mission.

I gave this book 4 sneaky kisses...

Happy Reading... Adri

Sexy, contemporary romance. Although it follows the romance arc the writing is good and keeps it from being formulaic.

A take on sleeping beauty, this is the tale of Lorenzo, the boss ,who takes on an intern, Kira, the spy and how their interaction propels them to something deeper. Heat and action keep the pages turning.

Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

THE BILLIONAIRE'S INTERN is book three in Jackie Ashenden's Billionaire Fairy Tale series. For me, this book is less fairy tale, and more erotic fantasy and a tale about two people finding love and claiming victory over their villainous fathers. Kira Constantin has designs on her boss Lorenzo de Santis -- some of them just happen to be secret fantasies. Lorenzo sees her agenda a mile away, but his annoyance gives way to a fiery passion that consumes him.

For two people who have such friction at the opening of this story, Kira and Lorenzo have some critical things in common. The two both have ruthless business men for fathers. Both fathers are varying degrees of wicked.

Jackie Ashenden includes many different and intriguing elements in this love story -- a slight age difference, revisiting a youthful crush, and parental machinations. Even though Kira's father sends her to work for Lorenzo in order to spy, I'm happy that Jackie Ashenden doesn't make that a central issue in this book. The mind games that their fathers played with Lorenzo and Kira play the biggest part in any obstacles to their finding happiness together.

Jackie Ashenden knows how to write a story with some heat, and THE BILLIONAIRE'S INTERN is no exception. The first part of this book is very much about sexual domination -- Kira's submission to Lorenzo's domination. As the story progresses, the feelings involved become deeper and the main characters peel back layers of their personalities. Kira has some type of attention deficit disorder - which Lorenzo is surprisingly sensitive to after he learns about it. Lorenzo has always struggled with his feelings of guilt and other conflicted emotions pertaining to his late mother. Bit by bit, the bond that forges between Lorenzo and Kira becomes more than simply sexual.

THE BILLIONAIRE'S INTERN is a torrid and totally amazing love story. Lorenzo and Kira are pushed to their sexual and emotional limits in THE BILLIONAIRE'S INTERN. At the end of this book, the baton is passed to another de Santis to try and crush the evil Cesare de Santis. I can't wait to read the next erotic Billionaire Fairy Tale!

The Billionaire's Intern' by Jackie Ashenden is book Three in the "Billionaire Fairy Tales".
This is the story of Kira and Lorenzo-- Kira has ADHD , something her parents never got addressed when she was younger. There are some other things also going on in Kira’s life which she is trying to handle on her own. Her father ends up helping get her a job with Lorenzo De Santis, the half brother of Nero as an intern. Her father sent her to spy on Lorenzo who is the son of an old friend, who made Kira feel special and like she was worth something, Kira didn’t know what to do but knew she really had no choice.
Lorenzo is out for revenge against his father. The last thing he wants is an intern, and he definitely doesn’t want Kira as his intern when he thinks back to her as a young girl and how she acted. Considering she has a reputation for being irresponsible as she grew up so he doesn’t want her involved as he is trying to go for revenge on his father. But then he thinks he can use her in this revenge plot as a spy….but what he doesn’t realize is she is being sent to spy on him. What do you get when you put Kira and Lorenzo together? Sizzling Heat and Intense Chemistry. Loved the ending of this story.
The plot was good and the main characters had good chemistry. My only concern is how they portrayed ADHD children/adults. I don’t see this being a bad thing. I have a son who has ADHD and it can be controlled with medication and therapy if it is super bad. Otherwise when you have it as a child, you can grow out of the worst of it or learn good coping techniques. That I think hindered the plot in some ways.

I read it, I think I enjoyed it, but a couple of days later I can't really recall any details. It was a sexy romance with all the typical things one looks for, but nothing to distiguish it from the pack.

I received this book from Netgalley to read and review.
This was a quick and easy book to get through. I was not really impressed with the characters. Lorenzo is a domineering, chauvanistic man and Kira is a insecure, lost woman. The two come together and discover they both have issues. But they are best when they are together. No real romance but lots of sreamy sex between the two. All in all its a quick entertaining read for an afternoon.

This is another de Santis brother who finds love unexpectedly. Lorenzo is persuaded to take on a new intern from a long time family friend and his father's right hand man. The intern is this person's daughter, Kira. Lorenzo is ten years older than Kira and has known her since she was a little kid. He was always nice to her and paid attention to her. Kira has ADHD and has done some crazy things in her past. Lorenzo knows of her past actions and judges her unfairly. Kira has harbored a crush on Lorenzo for years now. As they work together, they can't deny the attraction. Their relationship is not easy, but ends up being great. Another great book in this series.

Woohoo! This book is intense and wrought with angst. Both Kira and Lorenzo have lived emotionally battered childhoods, their parents being too self-absorbed with their own agendas. Hence we have offspring with control issues. Lorenzo has too much self-control leaving him cold and hard, while Kira has none, allowing her emotions to lead her actions. Together, of course, they work because he allows her to be herself while with her he can let go without being judged. But in order to get to that point, they will each have to surrender to the other and risk exposing their innermost secrets. And admitting their weakness is the most difficult thing that they have ever done.

MS Ashenden knows how to write an Alpha-Hole hero so well and then she finds the best heroine to bring him down and lights that spark up between them so as the pages start to scorch and this is just such a book steamy and emotional a story that will have the reader engaged and turning those pages.

Lorenzo de Santis is tough and ambitious he works in the family security business and there is no love lost between his father and him and he is after his father in a big way, so when he is pushed to take on an intern and it happens to be the daughter of a close family friend someone that he has known since she was very young he is dubious to say the least but gives in and then finds out that it will suit him after all. But he does not expect to feel the way he does about Kira the emotions and reactions he has to her will light the city in a very erotic way.

Kira Constantin has been to hell and is not quite back yet she is an only child and has done her very best to please her parents and everyone in her lifetime but has always had problems concentrating and learning, but there was one person when she was young who helped her he taught her to keep her hands busy making paper cranes and now that man is back in her life as her boss but there is conflict when she is asked to spy for her father when she starts her internship. But it is hard to go against the feelings she has for Lorenzo they started a long time ago and boy he is hard to ignore when he sets her body on fire.

This is a story where two people have a lot to overcome to find that love that send them to heaven and back their journey helps them both get over feelings of not being good enough and opens up a whole new world of steamy sex and yes even talking to each other opening up just being together holding hands. This is another fabulous story in this series and I do look forward to the next one woohoo MS Ashenden another one for the keeper shelf.

This book is the third one in Jackie Ashenden’s fairy tales retelling, even though, this time around, the connection with Sleeping Beauty appeared somewhat far-fetched. It features an insufferable, completely over-the-top anti-hero. Lorenzo De Santis is emotionally scarred and totally flawed. He holds his father responsible for his mother’s death and is consumed by anger and sorrow. Bent on revenge, he intends to expose his father’s scheme for embezzling company funds.

Against his better judgment, he has accepted to hire Kira Constantin as an intern. Kira is a family friend and she has had a crush on Lorenzo for years, admiring him for afar. Kira is young but damaged by the consequences of the tragic car accident she caused, and by her family’s rejection. She tries to steel herself against Lorenzo’s callousness and coldness, but without much success. She seems contained and yet she can’t control her emotions and is not able to stop herself from teasing and defying Lorenzo. She is definitely not the person Lorenzo expected her to be.

This sexy story of emotional healing and atonement is well-written. Jackie Ashenden’s storytelling is fast paced and intriguing. It kept me on the edge of my seat, even though I had a hard time connecting with the characters. But I was happy with the way things worked out for them in the end. This book is part of a series but works perfectly well as a standalone. 3.5 Stars

Billionaire alpha male romances have been taking the erotica world by storm for the past couple of years. One would think I would be jaded by now. Whilst this may be true, Ms. Ashenden happens to pull me out of my jaded funk with her Billionaire Fairy Tale series. This one caught me off guard and I really enjoyed it.

In this latest novel, it features Lorenzo De Santis, the half brother of Nero in the second book in this series. This book can be read as a standalone. Lorenzo and Nero not only share a father, they share their hatred for their father. Determined to bring down the man, the two team up to figure out how their father is stealing so much money from their own company. Their ruthless father did not get to where he is by being a fool. He has his own plans in how to find out about Lorenzo's plans. Their father's secret (or not so secret) weapon is Kira Constantin. Kira is the daughter of Lorenzo's father right hand man. She is a party girl who suddenly is offered up as an intern. Lorenzo definitely doesn't buy it.

Kira is the quintessential poor little rich girl. Some view her as a spoiled brat. Whilst she was spoiled in some ways, it is more that she was misunderstood by parents who had no desire to understand their child. Or more likely, refuse to believe a child sprung from their loins could have any "flaws". In today's world, many children are diagnosed with ADHD. Some say it is over diagnosed. Unfortunately, there are also children who are ADHD and ignored. Told to just "toughen" up or concentrate. It isn't that I'm advocating for drugs. I'm advocating that children learn differently because they are different. What Kira learned to help her focus is key. It shows that everyone has different needs and perhaps if we gave people more options on how to learn or focus, we would have more success. I felt badly for Kira because she tried and when she failed, she ended up cutting of her nose to spite her face. And her last stunt ended up with deaths on her hands. This is a reality check which woke her up and made her change her life.

Part of this maturity through death, Kira is used against Lorenzo. Lorenzo is the one person in her life that showed her a little kindness. Someone who did not realize what kind of impact he had on her. It just goes to show, random acts of kindness could mean so much to someone in need. Kira and Lorenzo's interaction is amusing. It is almost more older brother and younger sister rather than lovers. To go in a kinky manner, I think being a Daddy Dom for Lorenzo would work very well with Kira. Alas, this story does not get that kinky. It does include some lovely rough sex and taboo office sex, but that is about it. Whilst Lorenzo may financially help Kira to realize her dream, Kira is the one who breaks through Lorenzo's protective shell. This happily ever after is sweet. This erotica tale is recommended for readers who enjoy alpha males and spirited submissives.

I enjoyed reading this story of trust, deceit and two people trying to find themselves. Could you imagine being in love with someone at the tender age of fourteen? The thing is he’s eleven years your senior and doesn’t even see you as a woman, just the same spoilt little brat that daddy got an intern job for. When Kira got her internship with Lorenzo de Santis, he let her know from the start what he thought of her and she returned that favor to him. These two find themselves in an impossible position, many times, she needs her job to give her dad info and will do every job he tasks her with. Lorenzo is commanding, angry, confused and not sure what he wants with Kira. I did find the mention of his ex Katie to be repetitive, I get that she had to be mentioned to explain why he turned into such an asshole but it was a bit too much. I really liked the bossy side of Lorenzo; his commands could be downright hot.

3.5 stars--THE BILLIONAIRE’S INTERN is the third installment in Jackie Ashenden’s contemporary, adult BILLIONAIRE FAIRYTALES erotic, romance series focusing on the de Santis brothers-Xavier, Nero, Raphael and Lorenzo. This is CFO of DS Corp Lorenzo de Santis, and DS Corp’s newest intern Kira Constantin’s story line. THE BILLIONAIRE’S INTERN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Lorenzo and Kira) THE BILLIONAIRE’S INTERN focuses on the tempestuous relationship between DS Corp’s CFO Lorenzo de Santis, and Kira Constantin-daughter of DS Corp’s head of accounts’ department Ivan Constantin. Lorenzo wants nothing to do with babysitting an intern, least of all Ivan’s high-strung, basket case of a daughter Kira-a woman who pushes all of Lorenzo’s buttons including his unwanted attraction to a woman, thirteen years his junior, he believes is up to no good. While Lorenzo and his brothers struggle to uncover the source of a vast amount of missing money from DS Corp’s coffers, Kira’s new position at the firm sets off alarm bells for our story line hero. What ensues is the building but forbidden relationship between intern and boss, and the search for the truth.

Kira has been in love with her father’s boss for most of her life. As a young child, ignored by her parents, Kira struggled with control of her emotions and outbursts but visits to the family home by Lorenzo de Santis, calmed Kira in more ways than one. But Kira’s struggles continued through to college, and one reckless night, Kira’s life and those of her friends, was destroyed leaving its’ mark on Kira’s mind, heart and soul. Lorenzo de Santis has been hardened by the demons from his past-the death of two people close to our hero built a wall that no one has been able to penetrate until our story line heroine. As Lorenzo and his brother gather proof to the missing money, his relationship with Kira is threatened by issues of trust.

The relationship between Kira and Lorenzo is nothing short of turbulent, in fact, Lorenzo’s treatment of our story line heroine borders on emotionally and physically abusive as Lorenzo struggles with his attraction and hatred of the woman that calls to his heart. Kira has been placed in a position that threatens her safety and her future including the risk of losing everything-a position that comes with dark and dangerous secrets. The $ex scenes are intense, aggressive and provocative-there are some issues of questionable consent similar to some of the author’s previous story lines. For all intents and purposes, I struggled with Lorenzo’s early perception and lack of concern towards Kira. His conduct bordered on abusive-he was rude, offensive and insulting, and under the circumstances Kira had no choice but to accept the treatment by the man in charge.

THE BILLIONAIRE’S INTERN is labeled –‘ The billionaire meets Sleeping Beauty’ but I found it difficult to see any similarities or make comparisons between the two. The premise is entertaining but predictable; the characters are passionate and colorful; the romance struggled with preconceived notions and some questionable sexual situations but eventually found footing and a happily ever after.

Rating 2.5/5
I really enjoyed the second book in this series, The Billionaire Beast, so was excited to read this next in series. I should say, you really don't need to have read any of the earlier books to read this one- it is written as a standalone novel. Unfortunately, whilst I did enjoy many aspects of the story, I didn’t enjoy this one as much, mainly because of the hero and some of his attitudes which I really didn’t like!

Kira Constantin has ADHD which her parents have never understood or helped her with. As a result she’s used to their negative attitudes to her, her behaviour and failing to meet their expectations. What is worse is her rebelling against them had tragic results which she is struggling to come to terms with. When her father asks her to take a job as an intern working for Lorenzo De Santis so she can spy on him, she reluctantly agrees. She actually remembers Lorenzo from her teen years when he helped her control herself by talking to her and teaching her to make paper cranes. When she was fourteen she had a crush on him. He’s no longer that caring man she secretly adored but is now ruthless, determined, hard and wary. However, the attraction between the two is strong but he’s forever thinking of his dead girlfriend, Katie, and his own needs.

If you like a bossy boss demanding sexual interactions from someone who is working for him, you may well enjoy this story. Sorry, it just seemed so wrong so much of the time. It does get better as the relationship develops but how he treats Kira often feels totally inappropriate IMHO. Kira has had enough inconsiderate treatment from her parents without her new boss continuing like that!

As I said initially, I have read other books by this author and thoroughly enjoyed them. This one, however, I really didn’t - though I did read it to the end, so it wasn't abysmall. Don’t let that put you off, your opinion may well differ from mine (we are, after all, all entitled to our own opinion) and I hope you enjoy the story if you read it.

I requested and was given a copy of this book via NetGalley and this is my honest opinion after choosing to read it.

For me, The Billionaire’s Intern was an okay/good story and I’m certain there is an audience that will enjoy this couple’s story. That’s not to say that the story wasn’t well written, the plot interesting for it was. My enjoyable parts of this story revolved around Kira and her past, her present and her journey to find herself once again. I could root for her to find a happy ending. I need the hero to have that something that glimmers underneath all of the crap attitude that he portrays to the world that tells me this guy is worth redeeming, this guy is worth the fight to bring out the good in him. Lorenzo was an arrogant jerk at the beginning, the middle and the ending of this story… in my opinion. And if I cannot find something within the hero that draws me in, then the story is going nowhere for me. I wish I felt differently about Lorenzo for it was my reaction to this character that kept me from enjoying this story. It’s just as simple as that.

As with any review, you need to make a judgement call for yourself for this is only my opinion. A good story can change direction when the hero or heroine doesn’t turn out the way a reader hopes for… and that was my experience with The Billionaire’s Intern. I would encourage you to make up your own mind about this story. It’s good, it’s just not for me – you may feel completely different, so on this one please make your own decision and don’t depend on another’s opinion.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

The Billionaires Intern by Jackie Ashenden, was a very, sweet, and sexy standalone novel. A billionaire romance meets Sleeping Beauty with a HEA. My heart went out to the main character Kira, she has ADHD and I know just how hard it is, because I to suffer from it too. This was a very raw and emotional tale, that had my heart bleeding in two. Lorenzo is our hero of the story and it took quite some time for me to like him...... He was very controlling, and domineering. And I had a hard time feeling that undenying chemistry between Kira and Lorenzo.

Overall I liked it, but not my favorite by this author

Lorenzo de Santis wants to oust his father as CEO of DS Corp. After all he's stealing from his own company. Besides he has to pay for his wife's death as well as Katie, Lorenzo's love. When she died, Lorenzo changed. He became cold hearted and brutal. His treatment of Kira disturbed me. She's trying to rebuild her life after her auto accident resulted in the death of her friends. Her father sent her to get inside information from Lorenzo. I felt sympathy for her. She's in an impossible situation. She's a pawn being used by others. This is a story filled with darkness and passion. It took me awhile to like Lorenzo. His coldness was off putting. Kira is struggling to be a better, stronger person. She has always idolized Lorenzo. He was kind to here when she was a child. Their strong chemistry adds spice to this sexy fairy tale retold. Jackie Ashenden has written a story full of heartbreak and redemption. I wanted these two to realize that they deserved a chance at happiness.
