I would give 6 stars if I could especially for the finale "A dark and bloody ground". Listen this is not the normal true crime or repackaged facts. GREAT writing here!!

This is a set of 3 true crime books by one of the best, Darcy O'Brien. All three books are very good. They are examples of excellent true crime writing. The books are well researched and well written. I love all three and have read them more than once each. A Dark and Bloody Ground was told from the wife of one of the killers. An interesting viewpoint. Two of a Kind: The Hillside Stranglers is about the Serial Killer cousins that dumped the bodies of their victims on the hillsides of Los Angeles. A Death in Little Egypt is my favorite. About a father who plots to kill his sons for the insurance money. All three of these books push the limits on these killers and their victims. Darcy O'Brien is able to write about all three and do it well. I recommend this set!

It includes Murder in Little Egypt, The Hillside Stranglers, and A Dark and Bloody Ground. You must be a fan of true crime to read this book, because it is lurid, disturbing and violent. It is also heart-stopping and nearly impossible to put down.
