This was a cute fun read that I enjoyed by the pool...
I wasn't thrilled with the ending...it just well stops and you are left wondering what happened
This novel follows Malina Hall and Luke Jackson as they explore taking their friendship to a new level: dating. I liked the best-friends-fall-for-each-other type of thing and this was no exception. It was fun to watch Malina and Jackson struggle with their feelings for each other.
I recently bought a new kindle after my old one broke. For some reason I was unable to download this title from the cloud onto my kindle, therefore I will be unable to review this title. I am sorry for any inconvenience caused
This was a super cute friends-to-lovers YA book! It had me literally going 'Aww' at every moment! 10/10 would recommend!
This was an okay read for me. I enjoyed it, but did not feel it was unique. I've read similar books, so it was a bit predictable for me.
Thank you for the opportunity to read Tied Up In You; I tried on numerous occassions to complete this book but in the end it was a DNF at 48%.
I was unable to connect with the story-line and the characters.
I appreciate the opportunity to read and review this title.
Sweet story with fun characters and a storyline that I definitely wanted to keep reading. I would definitely read more from this author.
This was an adorably sweet contemporary novel that hit just the right spot. Erin Fletcher did a great job bringing us into the world of Malina and Jackson. That time in your life when the big decisions about the rest of your future are made, and who you want to spend that time with. It’s a daunting task but it’s always better when there are people who have your back.
We meet Malina and Jackson, who have been best friends forever but something just clicks and something else seems to form between the two of them. You know what they say it’s very hard for a female and a male to be best friends because there is always one that may feel just slightly more than the other, and when they both do it’s a very magical thing. The two of them are struggling with what will happen next in their lives but they figure things out together, maybe not the easiest way but the best way for them.
This book was very fast paced and seemed to move very quickly through the relationship, but if you think about it they’ve been in a relationship for many many years since they’ve known each other since probably elementary school. It went so quickly because they know each other, they didn’t have to go through the whole learning phase of getting to know you and what you do and do not like. They already have that in the bag. So of course when they have a big blow out all the real daggers come out to play. Because they know exactly where to dig.
Overall I liked the book, I’m intrigued to see what happened in the first book and I really can’t wait to see what happens in the next book. This is a great read if you want something quick and fun, something that will get your emotions left and right but still simple young contemporary. I really enjoyed all the family moments too and this book had me googling Hawaiian food left and right. Really enjoyed it.
Well, what can I say? She's done it again.
Another swoon-worthy and endearing YA story that sneaked into my chest and wrapped my bruised little heart in glitter and pink cotton candy.
Jackson and Malina were adorable, both individually and as a couple, the best-friend-to-lovers trope was pulled off neatly and I loved the little glimpses into Hawaiian culture, too.
Again, Fletcher went without the unnecessary addition of angst, miscommunication and painful pasts and still managed to write an engaging and entertaining story that, while it may not be the most original or profound one that has ever been told, kept me engrossed and smiling throughout.
After reading and really enjoying book #1 in this series, then experiencing the same with this one, I'll definitely be adding Erin Fletcher to my authors to turn to when in dire need of comfort and fluff.
A cute story of best friends finally acknowledge the feelings they have because of one accidental kiss! Story is so high school-y and makes me wanna go back to mine.
A recommended read for all the youths there!

Tied Up in you is a sweet, light YA of sweet friends turned to something more, even though the guy was flirt, and they don't have the time. Him, with hockey, and her, with her college applications.
The part I liked the most was her grandma, Tutu, the recurring character of the sweet/stern grandmother and the airy writing and plot.
I’m a big fan of Erin’s books because they always seem to hit the sweet spot and this was no different. In the opening pages we are introduced to Malina and Jackson, best friends forever. Right away, there is an ease between the two that comes from years of shared memories. Jackson is the master of dating, but no relationships. Malina knows this and loves him anyway. And then, everything changes with a kiss.
I seriously enjoyed all the awkwardness and the cuteness of these two best friends to boyfriend/girlfriend. I have a soft spot for stories where couples start out as friends and when well done, it’s the sweetest. This story was well done. Erin writes relationships and characters who are real and relatable. This was a perfect summer read!
When I requested this book, I did not realize that this was the second book in the series. Needless to say, that will not affect my review as it's truly the story in itself that matters.
After reading some books that were high fantasy, I really needed something much lighter and less make my head hurt and this did the trick!
The plot was well done, and the story moves quickly - really meant to be read in one sitting type book.
I loved the characters and the interaction with their families.
While I don't quite know how the second book connects to the first one - I do plan on reading it now, and then possibly reading this one again!
This is one of those books where I raced to the end to find out what happened (great ending, btw) and was then sad that it was over. Part of the fun of this book was the adventure through it! But let's just say this book was amazing enough that I not only bought the other book in the series (about Luke Jackson's hockey teammate, Pierce) but also bought another book by Erin Fletcher. I love the idea of best friends falling in love. And I really enjoyed how much energy Malina and Jackson put into trying to pretend they were still just best friends. And the way they finally tell each other had me laughing out loud (and then quickly covering my mouth and hoping I didn't wake the little ones because it was, after all, 3AM). Amazing story and yet another 5 star review for Entangled publishing!
Tied Up In You by Erin Fletcher is book two in her YA contemporary series, All Laced Up. Featuring hotshot goalie, Luke Jackson, and his super-smart best-friend, Malina Hall.
When Luke comes home from playing for his elite hockey team for a few home games before he leaves again for another round of away games, he goes to spend time with his best-friend Malina. What starts off as a normal visit soon turns awkward when these two friends share an accidental kiss. Let the romance and drama ensue.
Filled with lots of sweet of cute moments, a horrible double date, and a little bit of relationship drama as both Luke and Malina try to balance their newfound relationship amongst their busy schedules and figuring out their futures, Tied Up In You turned out to be a pleasurable novel to read. Ms. Fletcher does a great job moving these characters through their journey of hockey, astrophyiscs, and romance with aplomb. Maintaining a steady pace and an engaging storyline with the use of dual POVs, Ms. Fletcher also adds more to the novel with the inclusion of both Malina and Luke's families. For example, I liked Malina's family like her father and her grandmother Tutu. I also liked the other secondary characters of Pierce, Lia, and even Troy.
Overall, Tied Up In You by Erin Fletcher is a light and fun contemporary YA romance that I would eagerly recommend adding to your beach read this summer. I liked the story and look forward to reading more by this author.
(I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book I received for free from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my open and honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.)
This was a cute enjoyable read. I love YA fluffy romances to de-stress, and this one did the job nicely. I liked that there wasn't the YA "lost a parent" cliche, and that Marina and Jackson were best friends for years first before trying to be more. A great friendship means a great foundation :) I recommend this for your de-stressing enjoyment.
Will be leaving review on Amazon and Goodreads.
Everyone says hotshot goalie Luke Jackson is God’s gift to girls, but the only girl he wants is his best friend, Malina Hall. He’s always known how brilliant she is, but now that he’s “accidentally” kissed her, he can’t stop thinking about her…or wanting to kiss her again.
Problem is, things have been a little…awkward since the kiss. Because she likes him, too? Hopefully, but even if she did, their futures—and the ridiculous schedules that come with them—are in the way. And now one of his teammates is showing interest, and the guy has more in common with Malina than Jackson ever will.
As her best friend, Jackson should get out of the way. But if there’s one thing he’s learned from hockey, it’s that you have to go for what you want, even if it means falling flat on your face. And he’s definitely falling for Malina.
Disclaimer: This book contains a hot hockey player who goes after what he wants, a super-hot, super-distracting shirtless workout, and the kind of best friends to lovers romance every girl in the friend zone has dreamed of.
This was a best friends to more story and I like those. This one wasn't the best for me but it wasn't the worst either. The thing that gets me is this...they're kids and they squabble like kids...over a kiss! I felt like I wanted to jump in the book and be like "Y'all enough, it's just a kiss...move on." Alas, I couldn't do that. Maybe, it's my grown-up brain, but for me this was just a sweet read and not the 'OH MY GOD, I HAVE TO READ IT ALL NIGHT!!!!' However, that being said, it is worth reading.

Just.. perfect.
4.5Stars
Fletcher had me all smitten and fangirling with All Laced Up. I was uber excited about book two and I had high expectations, again. And again, they were more than met.
I love besties to lover stories. Tied Up in You, is cute and swoony. It's the perfect cute & fluffy.
Just like in the previous installment Fletcher digs deeper than expected. Which is what makes this more than just a fluffy read. It has some depth to the cute.
The characters are interesting and unique. I loved revisiting the Hockey boys and co. Malina and Jackson are my favorite! I mean I know I said Pierce was awesome sauce.. I still like him. However Jackson, is just better.. lol. Seriously: The friendship between Malina and Jackson is dynamic and feel very realistic. The changes between them had my all fluttery. I could feel their butterflies, I got their fears and confusions. It's beautifully written. Malina's heritage made her even more interesting. Love her relationship with her grandmother, it reminded me of how special my grandparents were to me.
I love that both Malina and Jackson have high aspirations. Their dreams are really different and so are their interests, I adore that they both value eachothers passions.
I was worried that there was going to be a love triangle. Because, well there could have been. But there wasn't. Just like with the rest of the dramas, there has to be some drama it is a romance, it doesn't drag on. Malina and Jackson do talk to each other, they do trust each other and no matter how confused they are or how angry they sort it somehow out. Which is one of the things I really loved about the story line. They have problems, they deal. Even if it isn't all smooth or perfect it feels like real life. Just with cute hockey boys and lots of swoon.
A must read if you ask me.
