Jane is a shy bookstore owner and her older sister Sam is best friends and co owner of an adventure company with Caleb. Caleb has always treated Jane like a little sister, but things take a slightly different turn the next time that Caleb comes back from a trip with Sam.
Jane meets a man who she is interested in and he is just as into books as she is, but when Sam comes bounding in, the man becomes a little infatuated with Sam immediately. Jane is crushed and it is Caleb that picks up the pieces and lets Jane know that it is his loss.
Sam leaves with Caleb a few days later for a Climbing competition, but unfortunately there is devistation and Caleb has to let Jane know some very bad news which devastates her completely. Caleb is the one who eventually has to help Jane pick up the pieces and in the process, the pair forge a closer bond and a relationship that Sam would very much approve of.
I really loved how Caleb was a good supportive man and was exactly what Jane needed and went for what he wanted, even if he had a bit of a wobble in the process.
I will certainly read more from this author.
Cute. Sweet. Great characters. Good humor throughout.
Could have a bit more conflict, angst. But maybe this was not intended to be that kind of book.
Nerdy, shy book store owner Jane, adventure loving sister Samantha and Samantha's business partner and best friends to these sister, Caleb have been friends. Those two loves adventure and Jane loved adventures within the books. Whenever Samantha visits Samantha in New York, they would hang out together and spend time before they head out to another adventures.
Jane met a man of her dreams while working at the book store. They talked about the book and he was perfect however, when he had a glimpse of his sister, he was more attracted to her than her. Jane really wanted her perfect man to be her man but she knew she couldn't compete with her sister's look and personality.
When Caleb witnesses Jane struggling with meeting the perfect man. He is willing to offer his services. Until tragedy struck both of them and it altered their lives forever.
Caleb is outgoing and adventure seeker but he has his own demon and he is trying to get Jane to come out. Their grief and longing they spend a night together but it wasn't enough for Caleb to stay with Jane.
Jane will have to figure out a way to get back to her normal but when her dream guy's letter surfaces again, she is determine to visit him at Prince Edward Island in Canada.
When Caleb hears about Jane traveling to Canada, he flies back from Australia and determined to travel with her. Will Caleb finally find someone to open up to? This could be their last chance at happily ever after.
It was heart wrenching at times but it was a good until the end. It frustrates at times but Jane and Caleb's love for Anne of Green Gable.

Oh Abigail Storm! You won me ever from the first page and I couldn’t stop reading until the very last page. This may be the first book that I have read by you but it won’t be the last!
I voluntarily reviewed this book.
I was left wanting more... but not in the good way. I will be checking out her other books though. It didn't turn me off from her writing altogether.
Ahhh, where to start with this review? It's been in the making for quite a while now, since I finished this book in December '17 and haven't written a review until now, because I couldn't find the right words back then to do the book justice.
What I love most about Tell Me is that it doesn’t rely on fancy plot twists or a lot of sex scenes to pull readers in. Don't get me wrong; I love sex scenes and sexiness is still Very present in this book but this book is really all about the feels and about things real people would feel if they were put in the situations like the ones these characters are faced with. It felt relatable even though I, thankfully, haven't experienced myself in real life what these characters experience. But it somehow just felt so real and it got to me. I experienced everything Jane and Caleb experienced and it was heart-wrenching in all the best ways possible when it comes to experiencing such an intense book like this one.
I looooved this 'friends-to-lovers' romance even though it was because of really sad circumstances that these two characters got together but these circumstances is what makes the romance feel 'real' and relatable, I think. I also loved reading about, aside from the romance, the self-discovery Jane is going through, learning how to fight your demons and following your dreams. I just really loved EVERYTHING about this book and I was addicted right from the start. I especially loved how the author brought everything in full circle, giving readers what they long for - at least I got what I longed for. I can't speak for anyone else, lol *happy sigh* I definitely got everything out of this reading experience that I could've wished for beforehand and I couldn't be happier about receiving an e-arc of this amazing book!
The writing, in general, was just really amazing and the author has a really great talent I think. She was able getting me all hot and bothered and make me feel ALL THE FEELS while reading this book. It left me aching for more, it left me breathless and in awe. The writing was exquisite, really and I can't wait to explore more books by this author. If they're written anything like this, they're going to be amazing, all of them. Just.. what an amazing read, damn.

This is that kind of book that sweeps you off your feet, captures your heart and makes you forget about the real world around you while reading it and has you 'enchanted' long after finishing the book. It made it to my 2017 favorites list and it's DEFINITELY a recommendation for anyone who's in for an addictive and REAL romance story!
Thank you for the opportunity to review this title. Unfortunately in this case I found it difficult to connect to the story. As I didn't completely finish this book I will not be publishing a review. We do not review uncompleted books on the blog, and again, thank you for sending through a review copy. Although this title didn't work for me, I do look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
This was a really well-written story with fantastic characters. I couldn't put this one down. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to checking out more by this author.
Jane is a shy and quiet bookstore owner who loves her sister Sam but feels as though she lives in Sam's shadow. Both girls are friends with Caleb who also runs an adventure/travel business with Sam.
Both Jane and Caleb feel sparks of attraction for each other but before anything can really start, Sam dies and Jane is heartbroken.
I liked that the author did not try to force too much plot into too little of a time period. The timing and pacing of the story allowed you to feel the heart ache, happiness, and other emotions of the characters as they come to terms with Sam's passing and their love for each other.
Another great surprise was the threads of Anne of Green Gables that make appearances throughout the book. That is one of my all time favorite books and it was integrated into the plot in both humorous and beautiful ways.
I highly recommend this book, and I am planning on reading the sequel/companion book soon!

I really loved this story. It hits all the emotions and I can't wait to read more in this series. The writing is excellent and the storyline if fresh. The story has a great pace and I fell in love with Caleb and Jane. These two are polar opposites but when they take the time to really get to know each other the fit together perfectly but finding ways to mesh their vastly different lifestyles will be a challenge. A challenge that will be well worth it if Jane will just give them a chance.
I highly recommend this
I'm not sure what it was about Abigail Strom's Tell Me that initially grabbed my attention more... The cover or the heartbreaking blurb. I will say this though... I should not have read Tell Me right after finishing another emotionally raw romance. Just from reading the blurb, I knew I was in for a pretty heavy ride so reading it after being gutted emotionally by another book... Let's just say there was ugly crying involved with my fair share of tissues. Tell Me was a beautifully poignant story of love, heartbreak, and redemption. It follows two flawed, but oh-so lovable characters - Jane and Caleb. Two characters left reeling after a tragic event. Through the tears and the hurt, I loved watching them stumble along the way. My heart broke while Jane learned that there is not always a next time. Caleb learns this too, but it makes him stronger and is able to help Jane open her heart for him. He's no longer willing to denied his desire for her. My heart broke and then soared for them.
As much as it broke me, I loved Tell Me. The author's writing is beautiful. The story itself is filled with love and hope among a tragic loss. I probably should not have read it when I did, but I'm so glad I kept with it and fell in love.
Caleb is a handsome cowboy and Sam's best friend, Sam is the sassy and energetic adventurer, and Jane, Jane is Sam's little sister and resident Plain Jane book owner. Jane has accepted her role, accepted that she's different than her sister, and accepted that her life is most exciting when she's living in a book. She's found a certain kind of happiness, a happiness that works for her, but it's shaken up by Caleb's visit and request. She's adamant about not joining them on a hike, not even for Sam's birthday, but when an unexpected accident occurs Jane finds that the most she can do is just get by. Caleb makes it his mission to bring the old Jane back and spark some of Sam's energy inside of her while he's at it. He joins her on a trip that's as crazy as they come, but together they find out that saying goodbye could also help them start anew.
"'Now, if you were going to imagine the perfeact man for yourself, what would he be like?'
The perfect man."
Talk about a book to get you over your reading slump! I have read so many great books this year and I've tried a lot of new authors, but I've been getting discouraged by what is out there. The stories are all the same and so predictable, so I sort of put off reading Tell Me by Abigail Strom for quite a while. I've filled my time with suspense books and other various activities, but something about this cover, this blurb, sucked me in. It turns out, this was just the right book for me. It's romantic, it's sweet, it's got quite a bit of angst, and it breathes life into the sibling's best friend trope that was growing so old.
"Feeling and sesnation swept through her. Her whole body felt like a frozen limb coming back to life, the blood tingling and smarting as it returned."
I really enjoyed Jane, she's my sort of bookworm. Caleb, on the other hand, is your greatest cowboy fantasy wrapped in a boy. They shouldn't make sense, in fact they really don't make sense, but they work. They each have flaws and great losses to work through, something that only friends who trust one another can work through together. I loved that most of the book focused on their friendship and how Sam is the glue that really holds them together. I really appreciate the focus on sibling jealousy, the natural rivalry that comes with it, and the love that really overpowers it all. It's a unique story and it feels like a true story and not just a bit of fiction. I found myself laughing at them, crying at other times, and really hoping they get the happy ending each so deserves. It's heart wrenching and emotional, but wrapped in a sweet, romantic bow that any sweet romance fan will love. The weight of this novel is the only downside, I really hadn't expected to cry, but ended up appreciating the direction Abigail Strom took the story in. Plus, these two have so much chemistry that it's obvious from the start that they are meant to be.
"His heart squeezed in his chest. You are different. You are special."
Tell Me may feature a simple storyline, but Abigail Strom effectively brings it to life like a movie. The characters are well developed, the book features a really great tie-in of Anne of Green Gables (only my favorite book as a child), and the characters share dynamic interactions and fantastic dialogue. If you're a fan of friends-to-lovers and sibling's best friend romances, Tell Me is a book to check out.
I felt that this book needed a bit more. Everyone loves that element of suspense; a plot you didn't see coming. I just felt that this book was very predictable.
This book was not my favorite book but it would be good for our library.
Any book with a heroine who owns a bookstore will get my attention. And I’m so glad I read this one. I loved the dynamic of the characters as they came together. The whole relationship with Caleb was handled well. The pacing was good. I thought the fact that the character of the sister is so integral to the plot was unique and interesting. Both Jane and Caleb were well rounded characters – with flaws and complexities. I love that they didn’t feel like cardboard characters you sometimes see in romances. It gave the author quite a bit to play with which made the book much stronger. I loved watching Jane come into her own AND find love! Really good romance that I definitely recommend!
Tell Me is a very well written book. I enjoyed it's plot and the interactions of the characters. If you enjoy good romance books I recommend this book.
Tell Me was a disappointment. I wanted something sexy and sweet and instead I just got the sweet, and not really that sweet, more like just kind of boring.
Jane is the younger sister of a larger than life, beautiful, adventurous woman. Jane's always felt plain and boring next to sister, Sam, and at times she has resented her for it. And then there's Caleb, Sam's business and adventure partner. He's like a big brother to Jane, but not really. He is in that he teases her like a brother would - about needing to get out and live her life more, about getting out the bookstore she owns. But she has lusted after him forever, even though she knows he only sees her as a little sister and friend. But something changes when Caleb and Sam come to New York on one of their visits. Something changes between Caleb and Jane and neither quite knows how to handle it.
And then. Oh God, and then the big, traumatic event happens that changes both their lives forever and the tone of the story changes drastically. And it lost me until the end. Jane's self-pitying, martyrous attitude magnifies a hundred-fold, and anything positive about her is lost. Caleb steps up to the plate, though, and takes care of Jane. He has a big heart, and it really shows here. I really liked Caleb, he's the sole reason for the 3 stars I'm giving this. If he weren't so sweet and amazing this would have been a 2 star read for sure, because Jane is ridiculous and I didn't connect with her. And I almost DNF a hundred times, but I absolutely hate doing that on books I'm reviewing. Caleb was amazing, though (and I love his name, it's my nephew's name!), so I kept at it. It didn't get better until the end, and I never fell in love with it or anything, but when the two had their big breakthrough at the end I kinda sorta decided Tell Me was OK. It's not great, it's not even good, but Caleb is awesome, so I'm sticking with 3 stars.
I like the premise of Tell Me, but the execution, and the heroine, left a lot to be desired. However, because Caleb is a hot, sweet Stetson-wearing cowboy who is an adventure junkie, I'll give it a pass.
Very enjoyable read. Brought me out of a bit of a book slump. Fast paced, sweet, and sexy.
Jane Finch, well the first name kind of fits her…you know “Plain Jane”. She’s always been the shy, quiet Finch Girl, nothing like her sister Sam who basically takes the bull by the horn and enjoys everything life has to offer. Her sister’s business partner Caleb is pretty much the male version of her sister and he’s constantly trying to get her out of her shell. Jane can’t understand why Caleb cares so much and if she thinks about it too hard it just annoys her because she knows no matter how much he wants to pull her out of her shell, she knows he will never be attracted to her. He will never be that dark lover she dreams about with his face.
Caleb may treat Jane like a little sister but deep down he sees her as anything but. Jane sees herself as plain and is perfectly content to live in her sister’s shadow. Caleb however sees something in Jane that confuses even him. No way would he ever be able to put the moves on Sam’s little sister. Jane is a forever girl and Caleb is as far from a forever guy as you can get.
When tragedy strikes and the one thing that connects the two is no longer their; they have to figure out how to navigate their relationship. Suddenly they are both fighting and giving into the attraction they share.
This read was different from a lot of other reads. Things I really liked about this book; the pace. I loved that the story took place over months, not just a few weeks. You kind of got to experience that emotional rollercoaster of loss with the characters. The Anne of Green Gables references; I’m a huge AOGG fan, the book and the PBS special. Both were a major part of my teenage years and experiencing Caleb fall into the book was so amazing. It’s like the book was a third character in the book.
What didn’t really work for me, I couldn’t completely connect with Caleb and Jane. While I liked them both I felt like there was something being held back that I just couldn’t reach. I liked that the storyline didn’t take place in just a few weeks, there were parts where I felt the scenes or issues dragged on just a little too much.
For the most part a good read though.
