This is the second book in the Vintage Toyshop series. I haven't read the first one yet, but didn't really have any problems reading this one first. We're introduced to lots of characters and almost any one of them could have a reason to want Craig dead, so who did it?! I loved the vintage toy shop with all those old toys and games! They even hold game nights there! This was a quick and easy read with an ending that did not disappoint.
Murder on the Toy Town Express by Barbara Early is a fun story.
It was like a blast from the past reading about all the vintage toys that were so popular when I was growing up.
Liz is an extremely likeable character and I enjoyed meeting all the wonderful people in this story.
Comic books are all the rage in this story and when a sudden death hits close to home, Liz is soon wrapped up in the investigation.
I'm looking forward to reading more in this series.
I voluntarily read an ARC of this book provided by the publisher and NetGalley.
This series has been on my to read list pile for awhile so I was glad to get an ARC to review. I have not yet read the first book in the series but enjoyed this one very much and will be looking for more.
Thank you Netgalley and the Publisher. What a fantastic read and had me hooked from the beginning. Clever story
Thankyou net galley for. Letting me review this book .
Never having read a book by this author before i I picked it up easily and got into the story and the characters , I really enjoyed this book , the antique toy shop must have taken a lot of research which needed to be done before writing this book.
The book had humour , wit and romance , what a ending I never saw that coming and it left a bit of a Clift hanger with her detective boyfriend or not as the case in this book.. Never guessed who the murder was as there was a lot of red herring to keeping you guessing , I had a inkling that Maxine was Craig's mother , the clues were there.. Look forward for the next book when it comes out . Many thanks
Well written mystery with superior character development. The story flows from page too page . My only complaint triangle,
I dislike love triangles in my mysteries now it's become a square. This author doesn't need the romance because of the mystery holds its own.
