Fun & Feisty! Erin Nicholas presents another Opposites Attract book with fun characters, feistiness, quick wit, and swoon-worthy sexiness. A bit different from her other books, but no less a wonderful story. Finn was a typical alpha cop, but with tons of sweetness mixed in. And Sophie had the feisty down pat! I loved the cops and firefighters on stage! And I definitely wanted to smack a certain character many, many times. This was a great series!
Totally His, by Erin Nicolas is an interesting contemporary romance, which incorporates the love of theater with firefighters and police officers, while focusing on family and romance.
When the Birch Community Playhouse catches on fire, Sophie Birch tries to save something from inside the theater, while trying to resist arrest from police officer Finn Kelly, who rescues her. Even though Sophie is attracted to Finn, she's hesitant to become involved, due to her avoidance of large families and gatherings. And Finn has his own reasons for not starting a serious relationship. As the story unfolds, family drama and past issues affect Fin and Sophie's tentative friendship and eventual romance.
Since it's the third book in the Opposites Attract series, it's ideal to start with the first book of the series. However, it's a stand-alone book, so it's not necessary to read the books in order.
Totally His is geared towards those who enjoy reading humorous contemporary romances.
Note: I received this book from NetGalley, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
Theater fans and romance readers are sure to enjoy Totally His -- a perfect flirty, steamy romance with which to spend an afternoon.
Oh man! I just adored this book. It was like sunshine on a rainy day. This book is smart, flirty with just the right amount of sexy. From intriguing characters to explosive chemistry to one entertaining story-line, this book has it all!
Totally His follows the story of Sophie and Finn. For as long as Sophie can remember, she has always had to look out for herself. She doesn't trust her heart with anyone and never wants to fall in love. All that is about to go out of the window when she meets Finn. He pushes her, tests her and works hard to break down all of her barriers. Sophie and Finn couldn't be more opposite, but even wild horses could not keep Finn away. When life begins to throw hurdles at Finn and Sophie, will Finn be to prove that Sophie can lean on him no matter what? There is only one way to find out...
Totally His was such a fun read. I knew from the first encounter with Sophie and Finn that I was in for a treat and boy was I not disappointed. Sophie is feisty, smart and determined. She doesn't let very many people get close to her and guards her heart. She believes in second, third and fourth chances, even when she knows the disappointing outcome. When Finn enters her life, he shows her just what she's been missing out on. He opens her eyes to love and family. He shows her that she doesn't have to do everything all on her own. He is sexy, possessive and has a big heart. He is just what Sophie needs in her life.
Totally His is sweet, sexy and 100% swoon worthy. It is everything that I want in a romance novel. It has just the right amount of drama, romance and twists. The characters are fun, entertaining and easy to connect with. The story is written with a lot of heart and will keep you begging for more. This is my first book by this author and I can promise that it won't be my last. Totally His has left me with the biggest smile on my face and I'm looking forward to seeing what this author has in store for us next!
A dream worthy, sigh-inducing, swoon type of romance that swept me off my feet and left my heart a big puddle of goo! Totally His stole my resistance away. This is what romance and dreams are made of and I fell in love with Sophie and Finn right. From. The. Start.
This story captures a romantics eye from the get go. It can easily make you think of love, hearts, and flowers and just make you want to relive the happily ever after again and again. What is there not to enjoy? I felt like the characters spoke to me and their connection and chemistry was sizzling, sweet, and packed a punch! I think I have a crush on author Erin Nicholas after reading this.
Totally His gets a DREAMY AND SWEET FIVE SHOOTING STARS! Its a truly magical and sweet and heart melting romance.
This was the third and final book in the Opposites Attract series but it can definitely be read as a stand alone. Although having read the other two books in this series, I was excited to finally get to Sophie's story. Being the daughter of a con man, Sophie has definite issues with getting involved in a relationship. Especially if that man also happens to be the son of a dear friend and mother figure. Despite being warned away from Sophie for the same reason, Finn cannot help but fall for Sophie. This was an enjoyable romantic and sometimes funny read as the troubled and slightly damaged Sophie realizes that love doesn't have to hurt. Erin Nichols knows how to create very likeable characters that you can't help but root for.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.
Sophie is an actress and owns part of a theater. She is funny, sexy, and feisty. Her father is a con man who marries women to get their money and a place to stay. He used Sophie as a child to help him with the women, when they weren't living there, they was is their car or homeless shelters.
Finn is a big, hunking, Irish cop. He is the fix it in the family. His family is huge and always in someone's business. His mother is a good friend of Sophie's and when her theater catches fire, he goes to volunteer to help get it up and running again. What he didn't realize was Sophie wasn't a little gray haired woman but a sexy young woman.
Between the play they are putting on to raise money and Sophie's dad causing all kinds of trouble, Sophie realizes that she wants the big, noisy family. But will her father mess her chances up with Finn?
So very funny, sexy, and I loved it. I couldn't stop reading it. Be prepared for some smoking sex scenes.

This is only my 2nd book by this author and my first in this series. This book easily stands alone. It stars Sophie/Sophia and Finn Kelly. More than a romance this book is really about family. The stars of this book are actually 4 characters:
Sophia is half owner of a theatre
Frank is Sophia's dad and he is a con man and a thief and he owns the other part of the theatre
Finn is a cop and he has a bad dating rep
Angie is Sophia's psuedo mom and BFF and Finn's real mother
When Finn meets Sophia and she meets him they fall instantly into lust/love. But Angie does not want them together and begs Finn not to date her. Why because she loves Sophia and is afraid she will lose her when Finn breaks her heart.
Meanwhile Sophia is anti family and love and marriage because her dad conned a bunch of ex wivesout of money while they took are of him. He is a conman and a thief and she loves him but she also sees he is a user and does not want him to ever use anyone she loves again.
So Finn and Sophia decide to do a fundraiser play together. That way they don't date but they can spend lots of time together. But Frank gets involved and it drives Sophia bonkers.
I LOVED this story. Finn is such a great character. He tries to make everyone happy, his mom and Sophia but its a tough job. This story was enriched by meeting the entire Kelly clan and that is what made this book so great. I really hope the author writes a series about them because they made this entire book.
