M/M/F ménage romances are a favorite of mine and what I always appreciate about those written by author Jess Dee is the fact that they don’t come easy for the three people involved. In Kisses Sweeter Than Wine the two men have a very volatile past that includes periods of them being together and periods of them apart, one of the men has a failed engagement, and the other at some point realized he alone would never be enough for his lover and a woman who has wanted them both for years but gave up her happiness for that of her friend. This is a complicated, sexy, and emotional story and the characters have some big issues to work through but in doing so they discover that while their relationship might not ever be easy, it is what makes them happy and that is all that matters to them.

I’m just going to say it Noah Martin has some big balls when he takes Declan Muirfield back to the hotel resort where his marriage was suppose to take place six months ago. Declan isn’t happy but Noah knows it is something he needs to confront and Noah plans to make Declan tackle all kinds of issues this weekend especially when their PR representative Violet Harper arrives.

It was hard not to appreciate everything Noah set in to place to get not only what he wanted but what he knows Declan wants and what he suspects Violet wants and when she walks in on he and Declan during an intimate moments his suspicion is confirmed. While physically they are all on the same page, emotionally they have some issues they need to work through and those issues have the potential to tear them apart. I love that a visit from Blake, Lily and Angus from Summer Wine showed them all that the type of relationship they wanted was possible and that Angus helped Declan to see things a little more clearly.

Poignant, thought provoking, and sensual Kisses Sweeter Than Wine is another inspired story in Jess Dee’s Tastes of Seduction series and one I know I will read often.

Kisses Sweeter than Wine
Days of Wine and Roses #3
Jess Dee
4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Another great read by Jess Dee. This is the 3rd book in this series but can be read as a standalone. It does touch on some of the other characters from the earlier books.
This is a polyamorous romance with Vi, Noah, and Declan.
Sometimes love should come before everything else. You should always be able to do what makes you happy without worrying what others think. You friends and family should love you for who you are not who you love.
I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to more of Jess Dee's books.
Thanks NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

Sandy M’s Duckies Do Series review of Days of Wine and Roses Series by Jess Dee
Contemporary Erotic Romance published by Entangled Scorched 17 Jul 17

When I came upon these three books for review by Jess Dee, I recalled that I read a couple of her books a number of years ago and really enjoyed them. So I thought I’d like to read her again all these years later, knowing that I would be engrossed in a good time once again. I’m not sure exactly what I was expecting, but what I got…

Summer Wine, Book 1

Angus is a simple working man. He’s a landscaper and loves his job. He is also quite good at it, which is why Lily has talked him into joining her at the Hunter Valley to see if he’d be interested in sprucing up the hotel and winery her boss, Blake, is getting ready to open. As far as Angus is concerned, it’s a fool’s folly all the way around – he’s over the moon for Lily and she has no idea. Mostly because she’s so far out of his blue-collar league. Oh, and Lily is in love with Blake.

I really, really like Angus. I’d have to say he’s my favorite character in the series. While he knows his mind and usually goes after what he wants, I like seeing his vulnerable side when faced with Lily and Blake together. And that’s despite the fact that as much as he wants Lily, he now wants Blake just as much. There’s not been many times over the years I’ve read believable chemistry between three characters like these. I think it’s because Blake and Angus are so different, they look at the world in opposite ways. Blake is always smiling and laughing, pulling the best of out people That includes Angus. Angus comes alive around Blake. The same happens when he’s around Lily, just in a completely different way.

Lily is one who keeps what she’s wanted for so long. She won’t let either Angus or Blake walk out on what they could have together. She wants both men and she’s going to have them. And have them she does, in their threesome and in watching the men together. These three turn each other on at the drop of a hat, and it’s all sexy and fun goodness.

Grade: B

Red Red Wine, Book 2

After reading the first book, I didn’t think I’d like other characters nearly as much as I like Angus, but I was wrong. Andrew is right up there with him. He’s a good guy who does the right thing when he finally finds the woman he believes he can spend forever with, but fate is working against him on that score. But then he discovers maybe he can have her after all.

Tori is at the winery to get married. Everything is in place and the wedding march can’t begin soon enough for her. But then her world comes crashing down when she’s in the wrong place at the wrong time, learning her fiance really doesn’t love her and is about to call off the whole affair. She doesn’t get it when he tells her she wouldn’t understand what he wants in his life, especially when she thought they wanted the same thing. So when she meets Andrew the night she spends crying and wondering, he’s suddenly the one thing she really does want.

Andrew tries quite valiantly to keep Tori at bay, knowing she’s hurt and disillusioned. But why not have these few days of heaven, even when he wants forever. So begins their brief but sizzling affair. And when Tori’s time is up and she returns home, what will Andrew do with the rest of his life?

Grade: B

Kisses Sweeter than Wine, Book 3

While I love a tortured hero as much as the next reader, Declan in this story takes his guilt a bit too far and long for me. He’s the one who dumped Tori just days before their wedding in Book 2. He thought he knew what he wanted when he proposed to her, but as the time neared to tie the knot, he knew, with the help of his friend and partner – and former lover – Noah, that Tori wouldn’t make him eternally happy. Dec loves men as much as he does women.

So after letting Declan stew in his guilt for a time, Noah has trapped him at the winery in Hunter Valley, where it all ended once before. It’s time they got on with their lives together. Because he knows Dec so well, Noah also brings along Violet, their PR person currently assisting in their business, with the goal of getting them both on the same page they all belong together and life will be good if they get there.

I have to admit I’m not that thrilled with Noah. He’s a bit too abrupt, not caring what anyone thinks of his high-handedness or anything else for that matter. I realize he has a lot to gain and lose during this weekend, but he just doesn’t come across as a truly likable hero. However, I know he cares about both Declan and Violet, that comes through loud and clear. It’s just his way of getting everything in line that doesn’t quite work for me.

I do like that Violet doesn’t let either of them get away with anything. While she may have been attracted to both men, dreamed what it could be like between them and now finding that out firsthand, she confronts and forces conversation when needed to make sure their future is on the right track. Thus, this book is my least favorite of the three, but it does have it moments despite my nitpicking.

Overall Grade: B

…is a pretty good time after all. I like that each set of characters finds their way into the other books for brief moments in time. Everything is tied nicely together and each story can be read as a standalone, though I think you’d get more out of each one if you read them in order. The winery is a nice backdrop and I enjoyed the little bit of enology here and there.

Declan’s been in turmoil since he broke off his engagement and Noah, his business partner, knows exactly what he needs. By bringing Declan back to Hunter Valley Noah wants to show him that they could and should be together. When they add their business associate, Violet, the relationship would be perfect if they can face all of the obstacles in their way. This is a STEAMY read with male/male and menage a trois.

Ménages are one of my favorite things to read, but only if they're done well and the emotional component is as important or even more so, than the physical. Jess Dee knows how to write a great ménage, that's for certain. Kisses Sweeter than Wine is a steamy, angsty MMF second chance of sorts romance.

Declan broke off his engagement the weekend he was to get married. And now, his best friend, Noah, is bringing him back to the same hotel/vineyard he was to get married in. Declan's furious, and hurt that Noah has the nerve to bring him here. But, what he doesn't know is that Noah has a plan to get him to live again, something he hasn't been doing since he broke off his engagement. He's brought Violet to the hotel too, a woman who works in PR and who can help their company market itself, a woman they both know and have feelings for, a woman who happens to be Declan's ex fiancée's best friend. Yikes...

As the weekend unwinds, the three begin to explore the feelings that have always simmered among the them, and pretty soon the moscato the hotel/vineyard offers is lowering their inhibitions and allowing them to bare their souls to each other. They blend seamlessly together, all three of them together. Declan with Noah and Declan and Noah with Violet. But, can they really find a way to make a relationship work when Declan is still caving to his parents' expectations, expectations that do not involve another man in Declan's bed? And can Violet get past her guilt for falling for her best friend's former fiancé and his best friend? Sigh...so much angst! It's the primary reason I couldn't rate this a 5 star that I was tempted to rate it. Declan waffled too much about his stupid conservative, homophobic parents and Violet took too much guilt upon herself for my tastes. I preferred the calm acceptance that Noah exhibited to Declan's broody angst and Violet's martyred guilt.

Aside from those minor quibbles, though, I really liked Kisses Sweeter than Wine. It's sexy and balanced well emotionally. All three characters are realistic, the kind of person we all know, we all are. And that makes the steam between them all the more appealing, because it's based on realism, not fantasy.

I received this ARC copy of this book from NetGallery for an honest review. I give this book 4 stars. The storyline between Declan, Noah and Violet was well written and worth reading again.

Fast erotic sexy book. Declan has guilt and lives in it. He denies himself happiness because he feels it would be wrong and he doesn’t deserve it. You feel for the guy and smile as he finds his way through the guilt and to acceptance and the ones he loves. While he is fighting his loves we get some seriously hot scenes that will scorch the kindle.

Noah is Declan’s bff and wow. He is understanding and sweet. Sexy as all get up and the catalyst to get everything going because he wants Declan. they love each other that is seen from the beginning but Declan is in his own head and Noah is determined to get him out and in the present.

Violet is the one that gets Declan to forgive himself and see. To bad she can’t do the same for herself. It takes a kick in the butt after we get a very sensual and beautifully intimate weekend from these three for her to see what is right in front of her.

WHo do I love the most? Declan and Noah. They are perfect together. I love Noah’s patience and inherent sexiness. Declan I love how he wants Noah but is afraid and is trying to deny himself due to guilt. I love watching his journey and how he learns that love is worth it all. Him and Noah are amazing together and I just was so happy to see them work through it. Violet added to the mix but she wasn’t what made me happy about this couple. It was Declan and Noah. Don’t get me wrong it is a sexy threesome and each helps the other but Declan and Noah together made my day.

A sexy erotic and intimate book that heats up the kindle and you while having you fall for the characters as you watch them come together.

Declan called off his wedding after acknowledging he liked both women and men—well, one man in particular. His friend and partner, Noah. Caught up in guilt after breaking his fiancé’s heart and almost ruining his relationship and partnership with Noah, Declan’s been so preoccupied with living the life he’s expected to lead, he’s ignored his heart…and other organs.

Noah has waited long enough for Declan to accept they were meant to be together. He’s taken the situation into his own hands and dragged Declan to the Hunter Valley. And he’s invited Violet to join them at a luxury vineyard hotel under the guise of a working weekend to introduce her Declan.

Convincing the man he loves and the beguiling woman with honey-gold hair to consider his proposal is going to be tough, but Noah is ready to take them both on and make sure they all come out on top…at least once.

Totally enjoyed this. After reading the second book in the series I hoped that Declan, Noah and Vi were going to hook up and I wasn't disappointed. I liked the story about each of the 3 characters and of course the sizzling sex. I would absolutely recommend the 3 books in this series.
