I'm a fan of Chantal Fernando. I'm an even bigger fan of lawyer romance novels - I blame Law and Order - so this newest series is right in my wheelhouse. I enjoyed everything about Katerina and Tristan's love story.

A young, beautiful attorney falling for one of the partners at her firm? Yes, please.

That partner has two children and a sad backstory involving a dead wife? I'm here for it.

But then Breaching the Contract just ended. Like, I read the end of chapter 18, flipped to the next page which was an epilogue, and felt like at least 10 chapters were missing.

I enjoyed Breaching the Contract, I can't wait for the next in the series, but I really wish we had gotten more of Kat and Tristan's story.

Sadly, Breaching the Contract did not work for me. Going into the book, I was completely unaware that it would be on the shorter, novella side. Had I known, I most likely would not have picked it up. I was intrigued by the premise of lawyers falling in love, but I don't think it was executed well here. For one, the short length of the book means the characters were severely underdeveloped. You only get to know them surface level. Secondly, everything feels rushed, and you never get a chance to fully appreciate the connection between the love interests. I'll say that there were hints of chemistry here and there, that could have been fiery had they been explored better. I also felt like 99% of the book was telling instead of showing. You are told this and that about the characters, the court-scenes, but never really shown anything. All in all, this was a disappointment for me and I most likely won't be continuing on with the series.

5/5 Stars!!!
This was my first book by Chantal Fernando and it was amazing. I will for sure be reading more of her books in the near future.
I really enjoyed this office romance it was short and sweet. Katerina and Tristan were great for each other and their chemistry was undeniable. Tristan is a widower and a single father to two adorable kids. I liked how Katerina was so caring and affection towards Tristan's kids. This book was heartwarming. In the end, Katerina and Tristan got their HEA. I cannot wait for the next book of the "Conflict of Intrest" series.

**Received book as an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Breaching the Contract is a quick read packed with emotions and a little drama. Kat was just awesome, she was strong, independent and very confident. Tristan was a little moody at first, but after you get to know him, he is sexy and sweet. This was a great read and I can't wait for more.

A sweet fast paced office romance that hit all the spots!!! In Breaching The Contract, Chantal Fernando introduces readers to Katerina Dawson,a recent law school graduate who lands her first major job in a well established law firm. Katerina is so excited to start her new job under the supervision of Jaxon Bentley, one of the best criminal lawyers. With Jaxon taking her under his wing, she knows that she can quickly rise to the top. But when Jaxon has a family emergency to attend to, Jaxon assigns Katerina to Tristan Channing in the meantime.

Tristan is Jaxon’s other law partner. Unlike Jaxon, Tristan doesn’t give Katerina cases but instead makes her fetch his coffee and babysit his kids. Katerina soon finds herself picking up his kids after school and watching them. Well it didn’t take long for his kids to fall for Kat instantly. While the kids begin to love Kat, it didn’t take long for Tristan to see Kat in a whole new light. What happens when Tristan crosses the line of boss and employee?

Breaching the Contract is indeed a very fast paced read. A big part of me wished this book was a bit longer so the relationship of Tristan and Kat could be well established. As for the ending, the unexpected surprise was not needed in my opinion since a big chunk of the book was focusing on their relationship. But other than that, Chantal does gives her readers a taste of what looks like to be a sexy and fun series. Can’t wait to read Jaxon’s story.

Katerina Dawson has just gotten her foot in the door at a prestigious law firm and is ready to tackle whatever they throw at her... but babysitting her bosses kids and getting him coffee aren't quite what she had in mind. She was under the impression she would be helping with cases and research not playing nanny to his kids, she tries to be professional about the whole thing, but her boss wants to take things in another direction... a very unexpected direction!

The moment Tristan Channing's eyes land on his new associates face, he can't help but be completely taken with her, she is beautiful, and tempting as hell... but starting something with her would not be wise nor professional. So, he does everything he can to keep her away, if she isn't around then he can't be tempted right? So he sends her to babysit his kids thinking that it's a safe alternative, but then he starts to see that she is just what his kids need, and he soon starts to realize he's made a mistake. His kids are attached to her, and he would like to be attached to her too, physically of course, but she doesn't seem to have any interest in letting that happen... or does she?

This sexy little office romance read was hot, captivating, and a refreshing change of pace from my current reading norm. I always like finding a read that centers around forbidden romance, I enjoy the angst, indecision, and the fight between right and wrong, and this one definitely had all that... and then some! As much as they both tried to fight the relationship, the more intense things got between them, and they both knew it was wrong... but sometimes doing the wrong thing ends up being the thing that makes the most sense... and they definitely embraced the wrong!! Have to say I really enjoyed this newest offering from Ms. Fernando, it was engaging, scintillating, and packed a serious emotional punch!! Highly recommend!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.

Breaching the Contact by Chantal Fernando

Now bookish lovers, whoever follows me and my reading journey you should know I adore Chantal’s stories, but I thought I was broken, I was in this awful bookish rut. The last time I read a book by Chantal I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would, legit thought I was broken! But bookish friends this is NOT the case here.

Breaching the Contract is Everything (!!!)

It was the perfect blend of swoony romance, you know the kind where two people meet and fall in love with no drama, or angst. Well… there is a little smidge but it’s not at all bad.

I fell hard for Tristan, fall hard YES I did! There is something about this author and her alpha men that you can’t not love. I loved the chemistry he and Kat had. There banter and when they start to get to know each other it is just perfect. The secondary characters are a hoot, I was surprised at how much I was loving everyone, I loved the connection that everyone has with each other.

Kat and Tristan’s kids were adorable, I loved that, that it wasn’t forced it just blended well, nothing over the top the story was just that adorably perfect (!!!)

I just love that it wasn’t long, to be honest, it was the perfect length. I am ridiculously excited about this new series, I cannot wait to read about Jaxson. With great writing that flowed, not once did I put it down, well obviously when I was finished but even then, I was contemplating re reading it from the start, I really enjoyed the humor, the pace and it was just refreshing. Especially coming out from a book funk rut.

On my last note, I loved that within a small amount of time I still got all them feely feels.

Arc was received for an honest review.

Pretty cute little novella. Tristan was hard to like but I really wish the main character would have been developed a little more.

Katerina Dawson knows exactly what she wants to achieve in life. Raised by her father, she’s determined to succeed as Criminal Lawyer. And right now she’s one step closer to that goal. She has landed a job as an associate with the top law firm, run by Jaxon Bentley and Tristan Channing. Even though she’s prefers working with Jaxon she finds she is drawn to the haughty aloof Tristan. But he’s the boss and that’s a line that can’t be crossed right? Things change when Jaxon is called away on a family emergency and she has to spend most of her working time with Tristan. He treats her aloofly asking her to do menial tasks and even baby sitting his children!! But damn that attraction still there !!!

I really enjoyed this book, it had good pace, humour and romance in buckets. Sometimes its refreshing to just relax and read a super love story, without all the angst and drama’s. Just two people who meet and fall in love, without hurting each other, cheating, issues that drag them down or apart. I loved how this couple didn’t fight their attraction, i loved how they just went with their feelings and i loved how they interacted towards each other and friends. Both Tristan and Kat were hugely likable, and felt more like real people. Happy, yes HAPPY! This author never fails to get you in all the feels, and even with twists you don’t see coming, you just knew that Kat and Tristan would make it. They had strength. Jaxon was hot, sexy and delicious, and the steamy scenes will have you panting for more !! I can’t wait to read more in this series and i’m really hoping Jaxon is going to be next !!!!

Breaching the Contract kicks off the start of Chantal Fernando's new Conflict of Interest series with a great start.
The series features a group of lawyers who work at Channing and Bentley and handle both criminal and family law (amongst other cases, I assume).
This book, the first in the series, is about Katerina 'Kat' Dawson and Tristan Channing.
Kat is a new associate at the firm and has just started working both with and for Jaxon Bentley, with Jaxon mentoring Kat, treating her as an equal and showing her the ropes but when Jaxon is called away suddenly on family business, Kat is left to deal with Tristan whom she'd shared an instant connection with and has since done her best to avoid.
This is where the story truly takes off.
In truth, I read this book in one sitting and both the pages and time flew.
Although, missing the angst and deeper emotional connection I'd experienced when reading Chantal's previous works, I still found the book captivating and sweet.
This book is a contemporary romance book and while the sex scenes were good, I personally didn't think that they were as steamy or climactic as I'd come to expect from reading Chantal's Wind Dragons MC series.
Personally, I also felt left wanting at the ending of the book - it just didn't feel 'done' to me, but I nevertheless thoroughly enjoyed reading the book and will probably re-read it again in the future.

An arc of this book was generously provided to me by Netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

A good time to crack open this book is when you need a sweet escape with a drama free plot. The title may hint at a bit of intrigue but the story unfolds purely and tenderly. It is well written; though the story flows so smoothly for me it lacked moments that hooked me and kept me entranced. The reader simply moves along from moment to moment.

The characters are all likeable. I found myself interested in knowing more about the secondary characters and hoping for even more details on the main couple, Tristan and Kat. There is a great potential for a series of stories.

If this book was an amusement park ride it would be a lazy river. It did not have the ups & downs, angst or dynamics of a rollercoaster book. However, given the opportunity, I would not pass up a cruise through a lazy river to enjoy a sweet and relaxing experience. For me this is only a three star story, more for the elements it is missing rather than for what is being offered.

Review Scheduled to go live on blog on September 18th @ Naomi’s Reading Palace—http://nomisparanormalpalace.blogspot.com.au

Chantal Fernando is back with an all new series called Conflict of Interest. Breaching the Contract, the first book in the series, was a short read, but it was was packed full of great characters, amazing chemistry and an entertaining plot!

Kat landed her job at the firm, fresh out of law school. She was a bright and confident girl who wasn't afraid to go after what she wanted. She fitted into her new job well, and had good guidance from Jaxon Bentley. One of the other partners, Tristan Channing, made things difficult for Kat, but like the strong willed girl she was, she managed to put her issues aside to get the job done.

Tristan was an abrupt and broody guy, but it wasn't long before I found out why he was so tough. He kept people at arms length and rarely let people in after what he had already lost. I loved getting to know him and seeing the other side to Tristan and meeting his family.

I always love getting lost in Chantal Fernando's books. These characters in particular were like anyone that I could relate to. They may not have been looking for love, but found it when they least expected it. I adored the supporting characters: the other characters at the firm, as well as Tristan's kids, Laura and Logan. My only complaint is that it was too short! I would've liked the story to be fleshed out a bit more towards the end, where it felt a little rushed. However, I'm looking forward to more books in this series!

This was my first book by Chantal Fernando and it fell a bit short in my opinion. Everything was just too easy for Tristan and Katerina. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, for there to be some sort of drama. Something to keep me engaged.

Katerina is fresh out of law school. She wants to make a name for herself. She could’ve taken an associate position at any law firm but she chose Bentley & Channing Law firm based off of personal reasons.

Tristan is a single father who is trying to do his best, then he is dealt a blow that he didn’t see coming. He handles the situation the way men seem to, silence and alone time. Thank goodness that Katerina didn’t let that continue for too long.

Breaching the Contract had potential, it just lacked some good meat on the inside. I didn’t feel any connection with the characters, why they should or shouldn’t be together or even why it was that forbidden for them to be together. I get the whole ‘workplace romance restrictions’ but usually companies have you sign a contact stating you know this information. Nothing was mentioned in this story other than her opinion about why this is frowned upon.

Complaining aside, I would give this author another chance. I can see the potential in her writing. I would’ve liked a longer epilogue.

They went toe-to-toe in more ways than one...

I'm a Chantal Fernando fan, so I'm always ready to read anything she writes. It was her MC Romance that hooked me, but it's her talent that keeps me coming back. I really enjoyed Breaching the Contract and I'm looking forward to reading more of the Conflict of Interest series.

Kat is a really fun character that kept me entertained with her amusing internal dialogue. She's a go-getter that is determined to move up the career ladder quickly when she gets hired right out of college as an associate at a prestigious law firm. She lucks out to get teamed up with Jaxon, one of the partners who sees her worth and allows her the freedom to work without constant supervision. Just when she starts to relax and dig into the position, an emergency calls her boss away and she gets thrown to the wolf. Yea, that wolf.

Tristan is the other partner. The sexy beast in a suit who caught her attention before she found out who he was. Now she has to look but not touch. He's making that more and more easy for her to accomplish by misusing his power and making her do menial tasks that have nothing to do with the law. She's become a babysitter and a coffee fetcher. And she's not happy about it...

That's enough teasing to tempt you, right? All you need now is a snack and a beverage as you sit back and wait for the fireworks display that will soon be coming your way once you one-click. I know that I'll most definitely be back for more. I fell in love with some of the characters that I hope to see again in future installments. The line forms here...

A very quick read (short story) about a man, a woman and two cute kids. There is really no conflict in the story and only one snafu shows up at the very end. Basically the synopsis is the story.

Do I want to read Jaxson’s story? Definitely. How about Hunter?

Breaching the Contract by Chantal Fernando was my first book by this author but it won't be the last one.
If you love office romances - this book is for you!!

If you love single dads - READ IT!!

If you love your books drama free - you will love this book.

Breaching the Contract was an easy and light-hearted book. When I read the blurb I knew immediately that it would be something I would enjoy - and I was right.

Not only was the topic and storyline right up my alley, the writing was as enjoyable as the plot. From witty dialogues, to sweet kids. From a cocky arrogant lawyer to a feisty, and smart female lead - Breaching the Contract had it all.
I truly enjoyed this quick and easy read. The characters had chemistry and didn't immediately fall all over each other. Even though it was a quick read, it had a good amount of character building and I really enjoyed the rapport between the cast.

This book is for anyone that enjoys drama-free but entertaining and heart-warming books - don't hesitate, just read it!!!

Breaching the Contract is actually the first book that I have read from author Chantal Fernando., although she has been on my "read" list for awhile.

I think for the most part this book was good. BUT, I felt like parts of it were rushed and then parts were slow and dragged out.

I love Chantel's books. This one is different from her M.C. series. It was a quick read for me. I would of liked more friction between Tristen and Kat. The description for the book is a little deceptive. It makes you think that was great tension between the two,. It was more like that Tristen was just rude, and was testing her. There was not a big built up.

I did like the story. Just feel if the was more, guess I'm mean fighting between them. It would of made the book more interesting.

I love when a favorite author breaks from their typical genre and gives me something new to devour. It's just plain awesome and Chantal Fernando's Breaching the Contract totally broke the mold of what I've come to expect from her. This latest release has nothing to do with bikers and the biggest badass in the storyline is a chick. I loved it!!

Here's the deal. Kat just finished law school and has her dream job at a prestigious firm. At first, all is as she expected. And then... well her job duties change a bit thanks to her boss, Tristan.

I know what you're thinking. Sexy, naughty tasks for the new hire, right?!? Nope. Kat is sent out to pick up kids and to get coffee. Not exactly what a new lawyer who graduated first in her class thought she would be doing. But what is more surprising (and endearing) to her is how she's completely smitten by the kids and their cranky dad.

Everything between Kat and Tristan moves at warp speed and there is lots of drama. Some of the story wasn't totally realistic but overall, it's entertaining as hell and I would definitely recommend checking Breaching the Contract out.

I Voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book

This author just keeps surprising me. All of her previous books I have read and loved each one. And now a new series that I seriously enjoyed reading.

This was a quick read. Katerina Dawson just graduated law school and just started her dream job. She is loving her life right now, working with Jaxson Bentley. But then Jaxson has a family emergency and she now has to work with Tristan Channing.
Broody, Sexy and so intolerable to work with. Now instead of working on cases he is having her run around on his personal business. Picking up his kids from school when she could be working on important cases.

Tristan Channing is a single father who's wife passed away and now he met Kat and he is attracted to her but they can't because he is her boss and that is frowned upon. But the more time he spends with Kat the more he can't keep on fighting his attraction to her.

I loved every minute of it. Kat was a professional independent strong women who can take care of herself. And when things don't go as well for her and Tristan she is women enough to step up and fight for what she wants

I can't wait for the next book in this series.
