The Image of You is a good fit for those seeking an emotionally charged love story about a free-spirited photographer and a guarded woman who finds a deep connection despite their past traumas.

This was an awesome book! I enjoyed every minute of it! I loved the interactions between Adam and Alex and how he was able to help her overcome her mother in the end.

Melanie Moreland is one of my favorite authors and The Image of You is so good!

Ally and Adam's story hooked me from the very beginning and I couldn't wait to see how they would find their way back together. It is emotional with plenty of romance, steam, and sweetness. There is drama as this dual POV story unfolds, but they definitely get their HEA.

Every time I pick up one of Melanie's books it becomes a new favorite and My Image of You is no exception!

I really wanted to get into this book but it just was not for me. it started off slow and was hard for me to get into. i was able to read about 3/4 of it before putting it down. i will try to get back into it another time.

Holy beautiful rollercoaster of a romance! I'm so happy I got the opportunity to read Adam and Ally's story. Their love for each other was beyond anything I've ever read before, it transcended time and space and the depths of the ocean. Amazing book and I'm excited to read more by Melanie Moreland!

Unfortunately, this one wasn't a favorite of mine. It was sweet and sexy and very romantic, but it was also very predictable and a little TOO love-y, dove-y, obsessed-with-each-other, no-one-else exists.

This is the first book I’ve read by Melanie Mooreland and I really enjoyed it. The story is unique from other contemporary romance novels I read. This is a standalone novel which aI really enjoy. Here is the publisher’s blurb on the book:

A globe-trotting bad boy chases the one that got away in this addictive novel from the New York Times bestselling author of The Contract.

My name is Adam Kincaid, and I’m the best at what I do. After losing my parents, I decided to follow in their footsteps, and now I’m the most daring freelance photographer in the world.

Maybe some think I’m a loner, but I don’t care. All that matters is the shot: braving danger and devastation in search of a single image with the power to tell someone’s story. But as good as I am, accidents happen—and thank god for that, because it’s what leads me to her . . .

Alexandra Robbins. My nurse. My savior.

With her fiery red hair and crystal-clear blue eyes, the camera loves her . . . and I have to have her. We soon find that we’re perfect together. We just fit, physically and emotionally. And yet something isn’t right. Something from her past is haunting her, and no matter what I do to help her break free, I lose her.

Today is the day I try to win her back. Not only do I need an explanation, I need her in my bed once again. I don’t just want a damn picture—I want her. Because what we have is a love that never fades away. . .

What’s not to like right? The story is well written, totally romantic, heartfelt, emotional, and sexy. I really liked Ms. Mooreland’s writing and I look forward to reading more from her.

Alex and Adam - sigh. I absolutely loved this story.

Adam was a famous photographer who finds himself in the hospital after a fall from a roof. Waking up to Alex, his nurse, he felt an instant attraction to her. But she is ruled by her parents, guilt from something that happened years ago.

This was such an emotional read from start to finish. Melanie is the master of insta loves and I love every minute of it. The whole feel of the book is deep and emotional both in good and bad ways. I loved Adam and Alex together. They were sweet and romantic and it tore me apart when things weren't going their way. They had to fight hard for their HEA. You definitely get all the feels throughout the book.

This book started out on really shaky ground. I was really turned off by the first interaction between and main characters - it was so unbelievable! The story picked up after we find out about Ally’s situation but then the story fell flat and cheesy again after the “big” separation. It took me longer than needed to complete this book as the story failed to grip me. Over-all it was a middle-of-the-road read to me – not horrible by any means but definitely not great.

My image of you is a heartfelt story of unexpected love and holding on even when it feels like all is lost. This is definitely different than the previous melanie moreland books I've read but it's still such a well written and smooth flowing story you won't even realize you've finished.

Ohhhh Adam and Ally, you are the sweetest things.

I really enjoyed this book and although I thought Adam and Ally's love for each other was a bit "insta' which I normally don't like, I was able to look past it and I'm glad because it ended up being a really sweet story.

I love photography so the fact that Adam was a photographer was such a plus and I truly admired how much of a daredevil he was. I would never be able to do half the things he does to get those shots. After a rather bad accident, Adam ends up in the hospital and that's where he meets sweet, sweet Ally his nurse and after a couple weeks their story really blossoms.

As much as this was a sweet love story, it was also emotional and I couldn't help but feel sour towards the villains in this story. The author did a wonderful job with making you feel everything and I absolutely loved the ending!

If you are looking for a sweet and emotional romance then The Image Of You is for YOU!

Adam Kincaid is a renowned photographer who travels all over the world to photograph the destruction left behind by man and nature. He’s never wanted to be tied down until he meets a sassy nurse named Alex Robbins after he ends up the emergency room with a head injury. There’s instant attraction and chemistry. They are fascinated by one another and he convinces her to explore what that means to each of them. They fall hard and fast, but she has a controlling family and his photography takes him away often threatening their relationship. It’s a sweeping love story with a few twists you don’t see coming. Their story was swoony and surprising with a beautiful epilogue and a happy ending that left me smiling.

An all consuming love found by chance, separated by outside influences and circumstances. I got the happy ending I wanted, all while wondering that type of love is like in reality.

My Image of You is a heartwarming love story between the last two people you would expect to fall in love. Straight arrow Ally who has never stepped one toe out of line and reckless bad boy Adam meet in very unusual and unexpected circumstances and end up falling in love. The only issue is that Ally’s mother disapproves of the match and wants for her daughter, what she deems perfect. What follows is a web lies, half truths and deceit. Ally needs to overcome all of this if she wants her happily ever after with Adam. But, will she be able to do so?

So, I absolutely loved the story. It is beautiful. I adore the characters so much. Adam & Ally are so in love and it made me so happy to read about the two of them together – meeting and then falling in love and fighting for each other. It really was a treat to watch them bond and then grow closer. Their relationship is so good. Yes, there were definitely times when I hated one or both of them for being stupid and letting their ego get in the way, but the important part is that at the end of the day, they realize how important the other person is to them and they do their best to make amends.

Adam is sweet and caring and loving. I really adore him. He’s such a great MC. It’s pretty clear from the beginning that he all but worships the ground that Ally walks on. He can do anything for her. It was a great thing to see, really. I absolutely adored all the little things he did to make Ally feel important and loved, especially because that was a feeling that Ally was not used to. He would always be doing something or the other to make her happy – whether it be hugs and kisses or buying her presents or getting her favourite food for dinner. Big and small, he never left one stone unturned when it came to making Ally happy. I loved that.

Ally, on the other hand, was the reserved one. It was clear that she loved Adam a whole lot, but she wasn’t as expressive as he was. She had a whole bunch of family issues to deal with and admittedly, it took her a little time to muster up the courage to talk back to her mother who had basically been running her life after feeding her with a huge bunch of lives, but in the end, she did it and that’s what matters. Ally was the most insecure person you would meet when the book began, but by the end of it, she had become a confident woman and that pleased me to no ends. Her character development was great!

And, of course, the villain. Ally’s mom. I hated her so very much. She did all sorts of selfish things and even managed to get away with it. If Adam wouldn’t have come back in time, things would have been really bad. She made Ally think that she was doing all this for Ally’s good, but really it was all for herself and I hated that.

It was an insta love story which bothered me a little because really, I’m not a huge fan of it, but it was really tastefully done and looking back, I think I can see that it fit the story really well. There was an immediate attraction when the two met and over the course of time, fell in love, pretty quickly, but somehow it suited them.

So, all in all, great story and definitely something I’d recommend if you’re a fan of romance! 😀

I loved this book so much. At the end of part one, I cried. You need to read the book to find out why I cried, but I cried. I honestly was so immersed in the characters and their feelings. I loved Adam and felt Ally was a few choice words that are not appropriate for the Internet. Seriously though, read the book. You fall in love with the characters super quick and grow attached. The character development was perfect, and the plot was a little shaky, but still there. This book made me so happy, and I am thankful that I received the opportunity to read it.

Adam and Ally's story is everything! There's laughter, loss, love, suspense and just a bit of everything for any reader!

I love me a injured man or woman falling in love with their nurse, physical therapist, doctor etc. Nightingale syndrome maybe. It's one of my secret pleasure type of books and that's exactly how this one started. Adam is a freelance and daring photojournalist who takes a risk and ends up in the hospital where Alex is his nurse.

And that's ALL I'm saying. There's SO much more to this story but I couldn't just pick out something to review. You need to experience it for yourself.

This will be another re-read book for me when I need a wide range of emotions coursing through me.
