I was pleasantly surprised. I connected with quite a bit of this collection.
It's hard to review poetry for me because I understand it is all a personal and emotional journey so when I can relate and feel my heart racing, I give props to the poet.
It's real stuff....

This poetry collection was just very bland. It wasn’t anything new, and some of them were so incredibly simple, it didn’t even seem like poetry. None of them were memorable to me, and I wish they had almost been grouped together by themes, as opposed to randomly put in this order. Not my favorite poetry collection.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy of Unearthed Memories through Emi Sisk and Netgalley:

Poetry is one of the harder genres to Review as poetry at it's best is personal and full of individual emotions:

I must say I was rather impressed that this was the poets first published collection of poetry. The feeling in each poem was conveyed well and there wasn't a lot of flower imagery which can sometimes take away from the message being conveyed. The poems themselves were well written.

I give Unearthed Memories four out of five stars.

This poetry collection is a raw insight into love, loss and life in general. A beautiful collection of broken feelings all woven into many small with some longer poems interspersed. If you have ever been heart broken, you will really be able to immerse yourself into this collection.

This was a good collection of sad, funny, and happy poems. They're mostly about relationships. Some have surprising endings.
