I love the premise of this book--the role of religious beliefs in a public school. I loved catching up with the Baxter family. I really liked Principal Quinn and his heart for the kids.
However, after sixteen years in education, I found this a little far-fetched and unrealistic.
Overall, it was a quick read. I enjoyed it even though I shook my head at some of the stuff that the author had happen/arguments made.
High School Principal - a Christian begins a voluntary school Bible Study and prayer program "Raise the Bar"
It has a high turnout. Violence, drug use, teen pregnancy rates come down and test scores come up.
The program is working. Despite Constitutions' church and state rule.
Their school is named after Alexander Hamilton- a visionary, had an unwavering faith in God, and able to bring
people together.
Scripture inspires us through life's struggles.
This book makes you think about religious freedom, freedom of speech, and the future of those freedoms.
I love Karen Kingsbury's book!! They are always inspirational! I love the scripture throughout.
There are over 20 Baxter Family books, or this is a good beginning to start with.
I highly recommend this book for everyone to read!!!
In This Moment (Baxter Family #2) is a beautiful, inspiring story. Liked it a lot!
