This was a simple read for my young daughter. Based on the popular Disney characters Lilo & Stitch.
In this story, Stitch meets a young girl named Yuna who becomes his friend, and is excellent at karate
Disney Stitch! was a fun, enjoyable read that focused on my personal favorite Disney character. With new adventures in a new location, this isn't quite a re-hash of the movies or TV show that Disney put out. Typically we see Stitch paired with Lilo (his Ohana) but this graphic novel adventure sends him to Japan rather than Hawaii, where he meets a young girl who is not unlike Lilo. Yuna and Stitch become fast friends and the two travel around Okinawa having adventures that are surely reminiscent of his usual bestie. I didn't feel it was vastly different from the pre-existing Stitch storylines but it was a fun read with a lot of heart. Perfect for fans of the character seeking more story about him, and particularly enjoyable if you're in Japan. This would be great for young readers.
This engaging tale was my first exploration of manga and it did not disappoint! The images were colourful and the narrative was entertaining. I look forward to more manga in future.
A fun manga, easily read by my six year old son. It kept him interested, engaged and wanting to turn the pages.
Unfortunately there seemed to be a glitch of some sort either with my app or the book. All my other NetGalley titles work except for 3 of which I was unable to read.
I've read and reviewed titles by Tokyo Pop and Diamond Distributors and I have never been disappointed so I'll rate this book 5 stars and read this book when it comes out.
I'm a big fan of Disney's Lilo and Stitch and I'm sure I'll love this book. 5 Stars
I don't know... I'm still not sold on this version of Stitch... I much prefer the original. That said, this was a fun read, and I loved the art in this one, so I guess I can deal with the differences. 😄
Cute graphic novel following Stitch. As a huge fan of Disney's stitch it was a little off-putting to read in the anime style, but after I got past the differences I really enjoyed reading the graphic novel. It was very cute and enjoyable.
ARC Copy...It felt weird because even though Stitch is there it didn't feel like Disney comic but rather a very true in style anime-manga plus only Stitch, Angel, Jumba and Plekley seem to be the only returning from the movie-tv series. Stitch fans won't be disappoint though...Stitch is very much up to his old antics, of mass chaos and mischief, this time in Okinawa not Hawaii so there is Japanese "culture" lessons in this series. It's cute though.
Stitch without Lilo? Can it work?
Well, if what you always loved about Lilo and Stich was just Stich, then yes, this can work. This is a cute version of Stitch if he had made friends with a different little girl, and had adventures with her friends and grandmother. All the stories are quick and light, with lessons learned, and teaching moments.
But me, I always loved the Lilo with the stitch, and as nice as Yuna is, the stories go in a different direction, and tell a story that is close to the themes of the original, but just not quite there.
For lovers of manga, this will probably be just fine, as well as those for lovers of just Stich.
Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.
This Disney Manga of Stitch is adorable and stays true to the character. As a fan seeing Stitch with any one besides Lilo is strange but Yuna is just as cute. Their adventures are funny and sweet while sometimes involving a moral in the story. The drawing is adorable and like watching a black and white Stitch cartoon. The contents is appropriate for all ages, my seven year old would love this as much as I do. The book even contains nice reminders of the correct way to read Manga if its your first time. Overall a really cute Manga novel that everyone will love. My voluntary review is based upon a review copy from Netgalley.

Another Disney Manga I just really loved.
Stich is one of my favorite Disney characters and I really loved reading his new adventures.
But I am also a little bit sad, that they focused on another girl instead of Lilo.
For me Lilo and Stich just belong together.
I still really loved the Manga and would recommend it.
I liked it!!! The same stories I saw in the series sometime ago!!! I had a great time reading this. Stitch is a great character and I enjoyed each story!
My mom received this book from Netgalley, and gave it to me to read. Thank you to Netgalley, to the Author and the publisher.
I am 10 years old, and I LOVE Stitch. I found the reading level perfect (even though it was a little bit confusing reading backwards at first). The interest level was perfect for me.
This is my first Manga book, and I will definitely find more to read. My favorite thing about the book is EVERYTHING....I loved everything. I need more STITCH books like this.
SSSTTTIIITTTCCCHHH!!!!!
Great ideas in this. My children love stitch and enjoyed this. I will be getting the app and buying this for them. It was a huge hit and perfect for the targeted audience
I just adore Stitch, he is such a delightful character. So any time I see anything with Stitch I just need to try it out.
This time no Lilo, but instead we have a girl named Yuna who lives in Izayoi. Stitch lands there and, for the first half-ish of the volume, he tries to do good deeds so he gets his wish fulfilled (and anyone who knows Stitch knows that he wants to be super awesome). I have no clue if he ever managed it or if he gave up entirely, but in the next parts there is no mention of good deeds, so that was a bit confusing. Also the fact we suddenly had Pleakly (urgghhhh terrible character) and Jumba (yayyy!) as characters as well.
There is no real continuous story, instead these are all short stories. Each one featuring an event (like Valentines Day), a new character (Sae), a new adventure (when they had to move the tree). They are all pretty short (duh), all are about 4 to 7 pages. I was a bit surprised that they were all short stories, I was thinking this would just be one story with various chapters. But this was even more fun. It fits better with Stitch and Yuna's adventures.
I am a bit confused about her moving to Tsuruko and going to a school there. What about the other kids? Will they just stay on the island? Who will teach them then?
I definitely loved the event stories the most. It was fun to see how Stitch was trying to understand what the day was about. Of course in typical Stitch-ness he did things his way. :P
Yuna was a really great character, she is sweet, kind, and it was really fun to see her live on the island. Her hair is kind of amazing, how it can go to completely flat to sticking up in two pony tails. I want to know her secret. Oh wait, I can just guess. Manga/anime magic hair properties (thinks back to Dragon Ball).
Of course Stitch was being Stitch, I like him tons. He is so sweet and I just love his superpowers. He tries to be good, but often misinterprets something or forgets his strength. But he is always trying to make things right again. No matter how hard it is for him.
The art is pretty great. The style fits perfect with the randomness that is Stitch.
I had a great time reading this. Laughing myself silly over what Stitch did (and how he pulled Yuna into his antics). I hope there will be more Stitch manga!
