Cora Chevalier and her crafting partners Jane and Ruby have all been asked to participate in the Big Island Crafting Retreat on Sea Glass Island, and Cora's boyfriend Adrian has come along as well. On their first day on the island Cora and Adrian are taking a walk on the beach when they come upon a beach wedding taking place. Cora is astonished by the beautiful sea glass tiara the bride is wearing and wants to go closer to see it more clearly but Adrian is anxious to leave and so they do. The next morning Cora and the rest of the retreat awake to the news that the beautiful bride has been killed, and Cora is later dumbfounded when Adrian emerges as the prime suspect, as he was the jilted former boyfriend of the dead woman. Cora has had some success in investigating crimes back in Indigo Gap, and now that Adrian (who she believes is innocent) is a suspect in the case Cora once again gets herself involved. This is a wonderful series with real life characters who you enjoy spending time with, a suspenseful plot and wonderful descriptions of crafting. This book in particular was outstanding in its beautiful descriptions of the island and of the sea glass. I highly recommend this book and look forward to the next volume in this compelling series.
