This book as some fantastic points and a great structure to make a plan. The ideas behind it all is great and has a clear focus and plan.
What i kind of missed a little in this book is that while its filled with great information, i missed how it can all actually be used in real life scenarios.
I kind of missed how the plan you learn how to make in this book is actually made into a real strategy, how it can be followed through.
For example tell me to start a twitter. Thats all well and good. But how do i get people to look at my twitter? How to i engage people there and keep then there and keep them interesting in my, especially if i am not even sure how and what to actually post on that platform? So while it might be a great plan to know that social media platforms are very important, its also a huge part of a marketing plan to know what to post and how to engage people on those platforms and i think there was a bit of a lack in this book.
because if you don't know what to do, a plan isnt very helpful, is it?
all in all this book is a great book in combination with other books. It has some great points, it defiantly helps you understand what you should plan and how to do that, but it needs a companion that actually helps you understand what all the individual steps are for each of those planned steps to achieve and success in that marketing plan.
In The One Week Marketing Plan, author Mark Satterfield has shown how to captivate your audience. He has given many examples of how different businessmen and women of different fields have used this technique successfully.
What I like best is the detail to which the author spoonfeeds with the templates for how to customise the offers to your customers based on your niche business. He even has ideas on how to zero in on the niche. Action oriented book.
