This book takes place sort of the same time frame as the last book, when the 2 groups split and this group had just as much trouble as Dagan and Chelsea. Part of their issues were internal ones, those between Christian and Emily and Ace and Rusty. The bickering between these people got old fast. What I did find funny was how each couple would give the other crap and tell them to just do it, but when that same advice would fly their way they would end up pissed. Angel was the odd man out, the island of calm in all the bickering.

Both couples had issues from their past that caused their bickering, gave them valid reasons for their views, but it was hard for them to see things from the other's side. Christian played things the best! I loved how he manipulated Emily when they got back to Chicago, loved that he brought everyone else in on things. It was the best way to break through Emily's walls.

The info at the end is intriguing. I have a feeling things aren't what they seem and it looks like Angel will be the one to figure them out.

Love these stories and this one is no exception. There was plenty of action which I love and the chemistry between the hero and heroine was off the charts making this an awesome read.

Love this series, though I felt this one was one of the weaker ones. While I know the whole Spider plot line is more of a several book story-arch, the build up with Lawrence and Ben fell kind of flat for me. When the confrontation finally happened, it felt like there was something lacking.
Otherwise, the chemistry between not only Emily and Christian but Ace and Rusty was awesome. Hoping to see Ace and Rusty get their HEA.

When we left our crusaders back in Jolly Ole England (at the end of Fuel for Fire), the guys from BKI were waiting for their way out, and back to the Good Old US of A. When it was time to hitch a ride, well let’s just say nothing went according to plan. And with the simmering attraction between Christian and Emily starting become a downright fire, things got a little sticky. Not to mention a couple of big men who want to kill them, Christian in particular. Obviously both have a past, but can they overcome all the obstacles that keep coming toward them? Christian seems to toss the metaphoric boulders to the side, but Emily just can’t seem to see things clearly enough to even look over the dang things.
One of my favorite BKI stories (so far). Keep ‘em coming Julie!

I've loved the previous books in this series but this was seemed like it ran out of story. I was actually bored in the middle with all the dialogue. I guess I prefer a more action packed story and this one wasn't for me. Christian and Emily had a love hate relationship that was in denial. I think I enjoyed Angel better and wanted his story instead.
I'm still going to continue this series as the back story is still to be finished.

Please note: I received a copy of HOT PURSUIT from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to the publisher and author.

Five stars and here’s why:

Julie Ann Walker and the Black Knight series hook you from page one! The author packs a fast-paced punch and doesn’t hold back. LOVED IT!

This book picks up where the last book in the series left off. Clearly, the ex-SAS soldier and the BKI office manager have some unfinished business. Christian Watson and Emily Scott try to resist their fiery attraction, but it’s hard to fight chemistry when you’re part of a team hiding out in England. Both the hero and heroine battle their pasts and their passion as they figure out how to bring down their common enemy. Holy hotness! If you love sexy characters full of snarky wit and heated banter, this book is for you. Keep the books coming! Love this series! Highly recommend.

I absolutely love Julie Ann Walker. The BKI guys (and strong women) have captured my heart. Each one is unique and wonderful. Christian is dashing and polished and dangerous...and then you get to peel back his layers a bit. You find so much more. You know from the previous books that Emily is capable and smart and tough, but you don't really know who she is until you get inside her head for a bit. Her interactions with Christian are steamy and hysterical. I highly recommend this for anyone who loves romantic suspense. Both aspects of the story were so well crafted with a generous helping of humor. I expected nothing less from this series!

This is Book 11 in A Black Knights series and is a really good book. It opens up with Christian having a nightmare involving an event from his past. Emily wakes him up. Then it skips to a later time and what's happening now isn't good. Things start happening fast and boy, is it exciting. Hidden things from Christian's past aren't hidden anymore, he begins to open up to Emily about his past and things begin to heat up between them. It's a fast paced book with plenty of exciting things going on so you are kept on the edge of your seat as you read. This is a great author who always writes a good book. Definitely a must read book if you like some love mixed in with your suspense. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book that I received from Netgalley.

I love the BKI series and was glad to see Emily and Christian finally come together and work out their issues. I think they both realized that even though they had a tough life, that they each just needed to trust each other to love them back. It still can be scary and wonderful at the same time and there's no need to change who you are, just learn and grow from past experience and be happy together.

Advanced Readers Copy Courtesy of Netgalley.....:)

This action packed book pretty much picks up where the last one ended, with Christian, Emily, Ace, Rusty and Angel being trapped in Europe in a cottage for the last couple of days. When they finally in a position to leave to get to the airport, they run smack dab into the press who are on their doorstep as Christian's name has been leaked for something that happened many years ago when he was in the SAS. This little incident bring out 2 crazy brothers who believe that Christian is the one who is guilty for letting their older brother die many years ago in the incident that is currently on the news.

They are now once again trapped unable to leave Europe and get back to the States, and finally all the sexual tension between Christian and Emily is about to explode.

I enjoyed the banter between these 2 characters and everything that happened between the.

Even thought this is the 11th book in this series it is still such a joy to read now, as it was in the beginning and in my opinion they just get better and better. Looking forward to Angels book!!! :)

Ms. Walker always packs a punch when it comes to her BKI group, and Christian and Emily are no different! Who doesn't swoon over a man with an accent but when you add bad assery; WOWZA! Ms. Walker definitely leaves you wanting more and salivating for the next book! Definite must read and a spectacular addition to the series.

I love the Black Knights series and have been hooked from the beginning.

This books picks up where the last one left off with ex-SAS soldier, Christian Watson, and the BKI office manager, Emily Scott, part of the team stuck hiding out in England. While they are trying to resist their attraction to each other, they are forced to go on the run after their plans to bring down the elusive Spider goes sideways. It is obvious to the rest of the team that their snarky, witty and oft time childish bickering, is really them fighting against giving in to the chemistry they are feeling. From a past experience, Emily vows to never mix business with pleasure, so is determined to resist the hot package that is Christian.

When the team are caught unaware and Christian's past catches up with him, their day goes from good to bad to worse. This is their journey trying to get home from England and while on the run each of the team are forced to face their pasts and this results in some heated exchanges. Finally giving in to their passion, Christian and Emily, have to decide if they are going to let the past dictate their future - together or apart.

This is the first book of the BKI series that I didn't care for. So color me shocked. The book consisted of the same group of people in the end of book 10 that were stuck in England and are still stuck in England for most of book 11. Not too much BKI in this book, just Christians past coming back to ruin each escape. A lot of sexual tension and want to be bad guys (truly the worse as of yet for this series). The only thing that saved it for me was Christian. I have wanted his story for a number of books now, just which there was the action that I come to expect out of Walker's books.

This book picks up mid way through Fuel for Fire where our team went different ways to get out of Blighty - while the previous book followed Dagan and Chelsea this one centres on the bigger team (in particular Christian and Emily) and their struggles to get home

I have to say I am glad that I read these last two books quite close together with much of the storyline happening in the same timeframe. I think that both Christian and Emily were interesting and entertaining characters - particularly their way of avoiding having conversation while in the middle of having a conversation!

I can't wait to read the next book to find out more about Angel

It's been awhile since I've read any of the stories in Black Knight, Inc series but I didn't have any trouble picking up the storyline here - easy to read as a standalone but you'd be missing out if you don't read the others too!

I really enjoyed the character development in this one - I felt like we really got to know most of the characters here (not just the MC's) and loved the interaction between them all. As Emily says in the story, all of the characters are "...the people I've come to think of as family." So it's not surprising when there's some disagreements but also friendly joking around. And, the best part, there's that trust you get from knowing the others around you not only have your back, but want what's best for you.

And that's one of the best parts of this story - these are individuals who have been through very dangerous, terrible circumstances, and yet the have a close camaraderie that just makes them all more real to the reader. It definitely draws you into their stories.

Needless to say, watching Christian and Emily, and their "bickering and squabbles" and yes, their undeniable attraction to one another, was the main event in this one. Really a great story to watch unfold - funny, sad, poignant and hot - along the way. If you like suspense, romance, hotness and strong characters, this is one for you!

Christian Watson, is a former SAS officer, he has never had a desire to return to England after an operation gone wrong. However, with the hunt for Spyder, he has had to return and his past is coming to the surface with a couple of brothers seeking revenge. Fighting to survive is a daily occurance for Christian, but when Emily is in the mix his concentration is not all that it should be.

Emily lost her job at the CIA because of a colleague turned rogue and she doesn't date men from work. When the brothers want to see Christian dead she questions that and eventually sees that she can have both. Ever since the two of them have met they have been drawn to each other and she can't seem to fight her feelings anymore.

While I always love reading the BKI series, this one just didn't do it for me. I'm used to the action packed storyline with the bad guys always potentially out there. This one, not so much, I feel it mainly focused on the relationship between Christian and Emily and we got to see Angel a bit more. I liked the story but it wasn't one to really catch my attention.

If you’ve ever read a Julie Ann Walker book, you know what you’re getting - almost non-stop action, interrupted by witty conversation and sexually-laden dialogue and internal monologues that eventually culminate in hot sex and breathless action. Rinse and repeat.
While her characters are in tough and dangerous situations, they seem to also have plenty of time to think about sex and engage in sexual innuendo, and finally engage in hot sex while running for their lives.

This is the 11th in Walker’s Black Knights Inc. improbable about a group of kick-ass retirees from various special ops branches who travel around the world saving the good and punishing the bad while having masquerading as a group of motorcycle repair shop workers. Just suspend disbelief and enjoy the ride. The books are fun, quick reads and this is no exception. I’ve read them all and have a bit of trouble remembering which hot couple was which, but they all involve super alpha, good-looking guys and women who are tough and able to hold their own.

In this novel former British SAS officer, Christian Watson, and office manager Emily Scott are part of a team stuck hiding out in England and trying to resist their attraction to each other. They cover that attraction with lots of snarky, sexy dialogue. For it being a romantic thriller, there really isn’t all that much action; most of the book is taken up with the snarky talk that disguises how hot they are for each other. The others with them get a bit tired of it all and just want them to sleep with each other and get it out of their system. I confess, I kind of agreed with that. At times they sound like little kids constantly bickering with each other, except for them it’s all with sexual undertones.

However, it gets better when they finally talk to each other about their pasts and what made each of them resistant to forming a more permanent relationship. Then there seemed to be more than just lustful attraction between them.

I was really lost at the beginning, as apparently this picks up straight from a previous book. I caught on fairly quickly, though, as will other readers.

This is Julie Ann Walker and she knows how to write characters. The only jarring note came from the male lead...Walker seemed to have worked really really hard for him to be British and sometimes it just came across as fake.

For the action, the solid plot, and the strong writing, I rate this 4 stars.

We have watched in the last few books how Emily and Christian snipe, tease, and just generally pick at each other like adolescents. And we have all waited with baited breathe for them to finally realize exactly what they mean to each other. And boy did this book not only bring their story to a beautiful end but it also explained exactly why they are both the way they are! Emily is the former CIA agent who now works for BKI as basically an office manager. She handles everything that needs to be handled along with the people that live and work there. Christian is a former SAS agent who now works for BKI but no one really knows how or why he came to be there. Or even why he wasn't with the SAS any longer let alone in England.

I always loved their interactions and this book just brought home even more how much I loved them together. Even after everything that happened to them both in their childhoods they still manage to be somewhat well adjusted adults-even if they both do have issues they need to work through. Who really doesn't though? I love how Christian is towards the end with Emily, trying to make her realize just how much they love each other. It was perfect for them!!

I also really love how Ms. Walker brings to light everything going on with Ace and Rusty. I am really hopeful that they get their own book, or at least a HEA! I think Ace deserves it, especially after everything that is revealed in this book! And then you throw in the stuff with Angel, especially towards the end?? I really cannot wait for his book!!! He is such a mystery and I can't wait to read about all his secrets!

All in all, this book was great! It was not only a great story with great characters, but it added to the overall story ARC that has been building about Spyder! But then you can never go wrong with any book by Julie Ann Walker! I can't wait for the next one!
