The legalities: I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
When Brothers Meet is a frightening tale of an out of control world where America’s indebtedness leaves it vulnerable to blackmail and war. While China, Russia, Mexico and India form an alliance determined to bring America to its knees. The American President, Constance Higgins, is forced to make some very hard decisions as leader of her country. She must find a way out of the dilemma caused by years of socialist policies that have endangered everyone in America. Placed in an untenable situation, President Higgins gathers her cabinet and prepares for war.
Two brothers have been at war for many years now and they, too, must prepare for a bigger war. A war that will prove their metal and love of country as they join the battle for America.
This story tells of the devastation of war; the cost of human lives, death, injuries as well as the mental fortitude it takes to go to war. Mr. Hardy’s depiction of the battles, strategies and men who must commit themselves is frightening and well told. The pace of the story is quick, steady and as realistic as I would ever want to see. The only problem with this tale is that it is too short.
