Justine and Simone looked at the phone . Simone had told Teresa that according to Claire all the girls they were looking for was owned by a Colombian official that who dealt personally with Rubicon. The official had gotten drunk and told the girl the location of Rubicon's lab and how to get to it. Then Teresa added “ where my Antonia is kept prisoner”. Justine then said Rubicon wouldn’t let that go if he hadn’t already got the girl he would go after her. The three women were headed to New Orleans. Teresa was forty five and spent most of her life being a nurse In L. A.. The three friends had been separated for a week until twenty four hours ago after the vampire safe house had been blown apart they had all went into hiding until a new safe house could be set up. Simone and Teresa had gone to help the vampire witch Grace set up a new compound. Grace also needed to train Teresa to use her powers she had from being a witch who was very powerful. Justine and her lover Harry had gone in ground until Harry recovered from his injuries and they reconnected with each other. Harry was a detective with the San Diego Sheriff's department. The women had gone searching for Teresa’s daughter Antonia but had found a lot more now they were hiding as Rubicon presented a great danger as Rubicon was a thousand year old vampire who was determined to take over the world . Then they got a phone call from Claire who was the keeper of the new vampire house and she said three girls had been found murdered along with a man who had ties to a white slavery ring. Evidence suggested two other girls had been imprisoned with the three murdered girls. The women had left California in search of Antonia and several other abducted girls they had leads on. Simone could now have sudden hearing or sensing of things. They had stopped to go to the bathroom and Simone said she heard screams and not fun screams. After Justine’s daughter had died she couldn’t help but be drawn to women in distress. Justine and Simone had went in to confront Kyle who was going to hit Suzie. Justine told Suzie to go outside. Suzie was scared to go outside as she said the Robie brothers were outside but Justine told Suzie not to worry about them. Before Justine was changed she had a black belt in Kung Fu. Also with Justine’s super speed and strength Kyle didn’t have a chance. Then the woman offered to take Suzie with them or she could stay after the women had offered take her to her cousin Suzie agreed to leave. Suzie had mentioned she had a cousin who was a cop when they got to the cousin who was taking her in. But they told Simone.Teresa, and Justine his name and that he was no longer a cop but had his own security company but the man still had his connections. His name was Cyrus St Paul.
I had mixed feelings on this book. I loved the book for the most part until the end then it ruined the book for me. I loved Justine's. Simone’s and Theresa's relationship[ and how close they were. I loved all the women had went through to rescue the two young women who had been forced to be sex slaves. I did feel this book dragged at times and could have definitely have been shorter. But I hung in there and kept reading as I wanted to know how everything turned out. This did have a lot of action and I loved that. I liked the plot a lot. But by the end of the book I had more questions then answers and it just left me hanging with a cliffhanger which everyone knows I hate this and it really irritated me. So much of the book was ruined for me by this ending. I kept reading to see how everything was going to end up as I said. I was just so disappointed even a little mad. So no I won’t recommend this I definitely had mixed feelings on this book.
