With Ready for Wild, the third book in the Grand Valley series (but only the second one that I've read - of this series, and by this author), it has become pretty clear to me that I may have stumbled upon a new favorite author. It happened easily and naturally as I turned each page, a giant love-struck grin plastered obnoxiously across my face, and my tummy filled with those delicious butterflies that I will never ever get enough of. I fell completely in love with Braden and Amber and, indeed, with the charming, effortless storytelling Ms. Blake has gifted us with in these books.

Grumpy heroes are my favorite. I love that their feelings don't come easily and their resistance proves futile - especially when the heroine intent on busting down those walls and drawing out those reluctant smiles is as spirited and adorable as Amber Regan. These two were so much fun to read. Braden is the best kind of grumpy hero: surly and domineering, with an irresistibly soft underbelly. The banter between him and Amber was smart and hilarious (I actually giggled out loud more than once), and the chemistry is sizzling (no, really *fans self*, these two bring the heat). The whole thing just worked for me. It was easy to lose myself in their love story, easy to allow these fantastic characters into my heart, and so easy to invest in their happily ever after.

I'm sad that this is the last in the Grand Valley series, but I'm hopeful that we may see some familiar faces moving forward (I wouldn't be opposed to a spin-off. Just...throwing that out there...). In any case, I've enjoyed these Grand Valley books so much that regardless of what she writes, it's a sure thing that I'll be back for more! ~ 4.5 Stars

I had only read the first book in this series, but I loved it and I was eager to get back to this setting.

Love love loved Amber and Braden. She’s sassy and smart and stands up for herself. He’s stubborn and stand off-ish, and a bit hardened. Together, they have excellent banter and chemistry for daaaaays. I love that they fought for each other and that they acknowledged there needed to be communication.

Plot wise it was loads of fun. There’s a great cast of friends and some mild bumps in the road, but it was mostly fluff. The angsty conflict didn’t last too long and the last chapter was damn near perfection. My only complaint is that I would have loved an epilogue or even one extra chapter.

Overall, a quick and sweet read. I’ll definitely be looking for Liora’s next book.

Ready for Wild delivers the perfect ending to the Grand Valley series!

Liora Blake has the perfect formula for romance and she has a perpetual fan in me. She knows how to mix two very different characters and make them irreplaceable to each other.

Amber Regan travels to Colorado to scout different areas for her hunting show. She has always loved the outdoors and her uncle taught her to hunt when she was just a kid. Her show was very popular and made her quite famous. It helps that her exterior is nothing short of a bombshell. Unfortunately, the last season of her show didn't get high ratings and in a desperate move, she believes if she comes back to her roots, she can make the big wigs renew her contract. She's determined to prove them and herself that she can do one hunt all by herself.

This is when my body decides to perk up and take real, carnal notice of a man? And for this guy? Mr. Jolly Green Giant with a bad attitude?"

Braden Montgomery is one of the Grand Valley game wardens. He projects a "sourpuss attitude" and he appears to be grumpy most of the time. We met his character in the last two books and I was dying to see a smile on the face of this big guy. By chance or maybe by fate, Braden picks the short straw (literally) and it's the one chosen to meet Amber and her team. Of course, he is not blind and his body knows Amber is a knockout but he has nothing bad disdain for people who don't understand what being a hunter and respecting the prey is. He has all these preconceived ideas about Amber and he's not scared to share them aloud.

The dark hair and the scruff, the serious sage eyes, and a sourpuss attitude many a woman would love to claim she single-handedly charmed into submission. All of that and he’s built like the caricature of a lusty lumberjack.

It was absolutely amazing reading the characters banter. I was smiling or laughing the whole way through Ready for Wild. So many great interactions and I love when Garrett was giving Braden a hard time and the scene with the selfie.

I loved discovering the real Braden and Amber. Amber was someone who took her job seriously. She knew how to respect nature despite being a hunter. She was a good sister and she cared for her co-workers. Braden's real personality was not surly. He was a book nerd who loved the outdoors and healthy eating. The scenes with his dog Charley had my heart melting. He also realized his preconceived ideas regarding Amber were wrong and he was man enough to admit it.

I have no idea why this is the last book in the series. Liora introduced two couples who could continue this series or a spinoff: Trey and Dayton and Colin and Teagan. I hope she gets to write their love stories.

Cliffhanger: No

For a city girl who self-identifies as "indoorsy" I really shouldn't love a book about a game warden and the star of a hunting television show, but I do. I really, really do. You'll never catch me eating elk meat, let alone hunting for one, but I'll gladly read any romance novel Liora Blake wants to write about Amber Regan and Braden Montgomery.

Braden is a grumpy game warden in Colorado. He believes in sustainable living, prefers to be in solitude, and doesn't have a lot of patience for superfluous fluff. Amber Regan is the beautiful, smart-mouthed, and social media loving TV star he's been assigned to accompany as she scouts for her next hunting location. Obviously they have no business being into one another and yet, thankfully, there's absolutely no stopping their chemistry.

I'm not saying I'll be lacing up hiking boots anytime soon, but I'll crack open any book Liora Blake wants to write.

Ready for Wild is the third book in the Grand Valley series by Liora Blake and it was another enjoyable romance in a series that I feel is quite underappreciated. I haven't seen too many people reading this series around the internet but I'm rather liking this series.

So this book follows Garrett's grumpy best friend Braden as he makes that journey toward true love. He falls hard for the girl he didn't even want to come into town but when she got there, he was hardpressed to not take notice of her. Braden lives a solitary life and it suits him, until Amber shows up to film her hunting show on his trails and he's roped into being her local guide.

Amber Regan needs to film a quality hunting show this season or she's afraid her show will get axed by her tv network. She's not afraid of hard work so heading out to the trails of Colorado to get some quality footage is her number one priority and she doesn't give two shits what park ranger Braden Montgomery thinks about it. He can hate it all he wants, he just better not get in her way.

Liora Blake does a great job of capturing the chemistry between Braden and Amber in this one. From their physical interactions to their texting interactions, there's a whole lot to enjoy. Braden turned out to be a whole lot of fun when he wasn't growling at everyone and everything in his path and Amber was a great match for him because she just made herself comfortable in his life and kind of forced him to open up and let her in. That was exactly what he needed.

This was a great romance without a lot of angst. Just a sweet romance between two people who grew to be important parts of the others life. Between Amber's friends and family and Braden's, you'll fall a little more in love with Grand Valley, CO and want to move there yourself. I know I do.

Ready for Wild by Liora Blake is the 3rd and final book in her Grand Valley series, and it reads very well as a standalone. We met Braden Montgomery, our hero, previously, as he is a game warden, who hates hunters, especially those on TV. Meet Amber Regan, our heroine, who is a tv star on a sports channel hunting show. We know to be ready for the explosions. :)

Amber and her team come to Colorado to film an Elk hunt, as she is desperately trying to reboot her career. When Braden is assigned to help Amber and her team, he is unhappy, and shows his feelings openly to them all. However, Amber knows all about hunting, and is determined not to let a grumpy negative Braden ruin this project. In a short time, Braden will feel a strong attraction to Amber, and does all he can to fight it off. Amber is not only gorgeous, but she is overly friendly and outgoing, and uses her charms to try and get the loner Braden to be more sociable; not to mention she is enjoying watching the hunky game warden.

What follows is a slow built romance that becomes sizzling, as their chemistry together is off the wall. In time, Braden begins to accept Amber’s profession and finds he is falling in love with her. Amber is also falling hard for Braden, but she is desperate to get her career on track, and when things do not go her way, she looks at other alternatives, which Braden feels would be beneath her. Besides their hot romance, their constant bickering and banter was also fun. They each had their own issues, which made a permanent relationship unlikely. Braden knows he will lose Amber, and just when we are about to give up, things will change that will bring some surprises, and a wonderful happy ever after.

Ready for Wild was a fun entertaining romance, with an unlikely couple that won us over very quickly. It was nice to watch a grumpy Braden, and the vivacious Amber rise above their differences, using their love of hunting and their combustible lust for each other. No question that this was a hot sexy story. Liora Blake once again gives us another fun romance, that had a bit of everything, humorous, sensual, fun bantering and a sexy delightful couple. We will all miss our visits to Grand Valley.

"Ready for Wild" is, like the two other books in the series, a great love story between characters who don't seem to have anything in common. It’s something I enjoy about the whole series; the author shows characters who seem to be totally different at first glance forming deep connections with each other and working together to solve problems. It's not easy, but worth fighting for and that’s a great message.

The protagonists of book 3 already appeared briefly in "Second Chance Season" and it was obvious back then that Braden had a problem with Amber's work. He dislikes shows about hunting, thinks they are too fake and pretentious. Because of that, he is not happy that Amber will be working in his hunting grounds. He is immediately attracted to her, but their relationship starts out quite tense, even though they are flirting and teasing each other. And of course, it doesn't take long until they grow closer.

To be honest, it took some time till I felt a connection to Amber. She's definitely a nice person and a likeable character, but I could identify way more with Braden and his ideas about a quiet, down to earth life than with the constant self-presentation that was part of her job. She's taking selfies for Instagram, talking about great products... all of that sounded really exhausting to me and I did get the impression that this way of life did not make her totally happy. That aside, it was interesting to see how the couple dealt with their differences and the resulting conflicts. How would a shared life look like? Would one of them have to sacrifice something? Would they even WANT to? These questions get more and more important as they get to know each other better and I liked to read about them figuring it out.

The romance itself was written nicely. The physical attraction and the emotions were realistically portrayed and I could see that Braden and Amber just clicked. It's not easy all the time; both of them are stubborn and can be hurtful, but they still fit together and the author really captured that connection. It grows naturally. I also liked that they talked about their troubles (most of the time).

"Ready for Wild" is a sweet, entertaining read with interesting characters who have a great chemistry with each other. Therefore: 4 stars.

Outdoors man, meets outdoors woman. Braden is everything that I picture when I think of this. While Amber does only partially. She seems to be someone who could be happy in downtown NYC, but also just as happy on a two week hunting trip. Braden's dream woman if you ask me.

Why is this the last book in the series? WHY?? I love this series so much and each book just gets better and better.
I have a well-documented weakness for grumpy heroes but when you add in a smart, capable heroine and some amazing chemistry you have the recipe for my perfect book. I love that this series focuses on characters that I do not often read about or meet in real life. I love that these characters have histories and careers and act like adults. I love that they grow and change and their feelings for each other develop over time. These books are just so well written and a joy to read. I want more of them.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review. And honestly- I think you should them.

So many 'filthy and fabulous' moments to enjoy.

This is my 2nd Liora Blake book, but the first in the Grand Valley series. While they were totally different from each other, the author's talent and sense of humor shined through in both. She kept me smiling from beginning to end while reading Ready for Wild

Braden has a 'porcupine personality' per his boss. Which makes his job as a game warden perfect for him. He gets to spend lots of time outdoors, and alone. When he learns that a sexy pin-up version of a game hunter with her own reality TV show is coming to check out his territory, he's not happy. His disdain for her profession is something he doesn't even try to hide when he meets her for the first time. While he can't deny she's beautiful, camo should not be pink! His prickly personality is not the best kept secret, however; his coworkers have been around him long enough to see that underneath his growly exterior is a true friend willing to help out when needed.

Amber was subjected to, "An hour and a half hiking behind that behind while it flexes away, right in front of you. Good luck trying to keep from noticing-or appreciating-it. I know I was only there virtually, but I was mentally appreciating it. I was also appreciating the witty banter and sarcasm as he suffered through the experience, having drawn the short straw with the other game wardens who actually wanted to be her tour guide. I could feel the chemistry between them as they bickered. I was rubbing my hands together in anticipation of the explosion that I knew would occur when they finally gave into the sparks flying.

It only got better from there as the grunting and gasping escalated when they went belly to belly over many topics and situations. It was a very entertaining read and a nice break after reading something heavy or dark. #TeamYeti

I absolutely love The Grand Valley series!!! Ready for Wild is the 3rd book in this series and I honestly have no idea how Liora Blake manages to write such fresh and original storylines with the most fantastic characters...BUT SHE DOES!!!

Ready for Wild centers around Braden, the local game warden and Amber, a star in a DIY hunting show. When Amber's hunting show is in need of some assistance from the game warden, Braden's boss thinks he's just the guy job. Unfortunately, Braden is less than enthused and is initially reluctant, but that all changes once he realizes Amber is the real deal (both personally and professionally).

Amber takes her job very seriously. Hunting is her passion and she's determined to make her television show work. Having struggled financially growing up, Amber's even more hellbent on making it. Knowing people just see her good looks and think she doesn't have a brain in that pretty head of hers is one of her biggest obstacles, but the handsome game warden just so happens to notice her beauty and brains!!!

First off, I want to say that Liora Blake has an incredible talent of writing a romance novel that is sweet, steamy and swoony with humor throughout !!!! Her character's well timed one-liners never fail to make laugh out loud which adds so much to the book! I knew I was going to love this book after the first chapter, I never wanted it end. I found all of the characters endearing and I loved what Liora Blake had in mind for them, I also enjoyed the fact there isn't unnecessary drama thrown in--LOVE THAT. Ready for Wild is a full 5 star read and there isn't one thing I would change about this book-- it's amazing!!! If you haven't started The Grand Valley series, def put it at the top of your TBR list!! I promise you won't regret it!
