Who is crazy and who’s not? Is the bitter ex trying to win back her husband from the new fiance, or is there another motive for her antics? A good read that will keep you turning pages. The only ‘down’ is the little twist at the end. It doesn’t fit.

5 stars!!! This was the best psychological thriller/domestic suspense book I've read all year!!! I absolutely could not put it down, finished it in one day. Other than one small detail which didn't make sense to me (a spoiler so i won't reveal), I loved all the twists and turns, especially the one at 40% and the epilogue. Was a fabulous read and I have already recommended to several people!!!

The new psychological mystery, The Wife Between Us, a story centered on the relationship between the ex-wife and current fiance of a businessman, is fantastic. The story is told from the point of view of the two women at different points in time and moves smoothly from one to the other and the reader's sympathy wavers between them as the story evolves. Be prepared to stay up late because it's hard to put this book down!

I would have preferred to have learnt about the twist whilst reading the book and not through the blurb.

I enjoyed this book although it many places scenes changed without any natural segue. The ending I did not see coming- interesting twist.

I have read a lot of books but this book is one of the best I've read this year. Every woman can associated with it on some level because we have been through it in some way. I books is full of twist and turns that will leave you breathless. I couldn't put the book down even though I had some idea how it was going to end. It is worth the read.

Vanessa Thompson thought she had her happily ever after, her beloved husband however felt differently, and decided it was time to call it quits. Not only did he take away his love, he also took away their home, his money, and now she finds herself rooming with her aunt in a tiny apartment, and taking a job at Saks. Her life has taken an unexpected turn, one that has left her feeling battered, her heart bruised, and her mind permanently altered, she just can't grasp the thought that it is all gone, and she is now alone. Then if things weren't bad enough for her, she learns her ex-husband has already replaced her with a younger, newer model, and it damn near kills her. The idea of him moving on so quickly after all they shared is unsettling...and more than she can bare, so she decides to take matters into her own hands. And from there things take a very interesting turn...

The Wife Between Us is a spellbinding tale that will keep you completely entranced from start to finish! From the moment you crack the cover on this one you will be pulled into Vanessa's troubled world, and taken on a literary journey filled with twists and turns that will leave you reeling. This is one of those reads that will play tricks with your mind, just when you think you know where your heading, the authors will throw you for another unexpected loop, and leave your jaw on the floor. I am new to both authors, and I am beyond impressed with this read, their thrilling story line left me dazzled! Highly recommend this one!

The description is accurate. Do not make any assumptions about this book. most likely your assumption is wrong. The author does an excellent job of tricking the reader. You will be tempted to turn back through the pages to determine what you missed.

I enjoyed the authors writing style. All of the characters were well developed and believable. It was a creative story with lots of twists. Overall an enjoyable read.

I really enjoyed this book. A lot of the reviews I have read on this book have talked about the crazy plot twists. I, personally, did not feel that it was that full of plot twists because from the beginning I identified with the plot so well. The story of Nellie and her husband was not all that different from my own story. I knew from the very beginning exactly where the story was headed, with the exception of what I would call several minor twists. What I loved about this book was that it brings to light what these types of relationships are like and helps others to gather a little bit of an inner glimpse inside them. There is simply not enough of a spotlight shed on these types of people and I love that this book brings some of that out into the open. It needs to be talked about, read about, and understood. I love that these types of characters are being written about!

Thank you Net Galley for sending along such an engaging book. I found it at the same time being easy to read yet hard to digest. I'm still trying to define "wife" as used in the title. Was it really the wives or someone else. Then came the epilogue...now there's a twist for you! Read this book for modern day realism tinged with psychological madness.

This book kept me intrigued throughout the entire read. Every time I thought I had it "figured out", there was a devilish twist - I just didn't want to put this book down! At one or two points in the book, I thought that I had missed something, only to find out the story segued - and segued it did. The main character, nicknamed Nellie, is a divorced woman who, it seems, is stalking her ex-husband Richard and his new fiancé, Emma. But, wait for it.....enter the twists. While Nellie appears to be quite off-balance, she is truly a determined and intelligent lady. The ex-husband's sister Maureen is an interesting character and adds to the thickening plot. The story is believable and I am sure there are many who can relate to the situation and how it turned out. The ending was a complete surprise. I enjoyed reading this book and appreciate being given the opportunity!

Whoah! Talk about a crazy book! Here I was, just reading along, trying to figure out who was the crazy woman in this book and who was the normal one, when I hit a plot twist that had me flipping back a few pages to make sure I read it correctly. Thennnnn it all made sense! Although the storyline is simple: husband, wife, mistress, the way the story is told is what sets it apart. This is a quick read, because you won't want to put it down.

I thoroughly enjoyed this clever story – there are so many books available now in this genre following Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train and not all of them are worth reading but this one definitely makes the grade. Everything you assume at the beginning gets turned around with one twist after another until you wonder who can be trusted in this love triangle of a seemingly abandoned wife bent on revenge. A book you won’t be able to easily put down until you know everything there is to know.

This book was amazing. I loved all the twists and turns. There is not another book out there like this one - it is definitely in a category of its own. I highly recommend it.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Okay. All in all, this was a GREAT read. I was approved for it yesterday afternoon and started it right away after scanning a couple reviews that got me excited for all the twists and turns. I only stopped for long enough to get in a few hours of sleep.

I absolutely loved how this story was told. Hopping back and forth between Nellie and Vanessa, past and present, slowly (not too slowly though, in my opinion this was done just right) unfolding the back story of each. How Nellie fell in love with Richard, and how Vanessa is trying pick up the pieces after her marriage with Richard ends.

A lot of reviewers kept saying how blindsided they were at the first twist. Unfortunately, I saw it coming pretty quickly. I just wasn't sure how it would be pulled off. But it was done very well. Actually, the only thing I didn't see coming was the epilogue. So that was interesting. I'm just not sure it was necessary. Though it definitely shows you people never forget something that changes your life forever.

There was one relationship I didn't quite understand. And it wasn't really cleared up completely for me. Richard and his sister Maureen. The last scenes with Maureen I was a bit...um....grossed out maybe? I understood the dynamic of their relationship instantly, but, what happened in that last scene with her seemed a bit....much? But, maybe it was just supposed to be another twist and turn. Either way, it wasn't resolved enough for me which was a little disappointing.

One reviewer mentioned that the events of what happened when Nellie was in her Senior year of college weren't all that realistic. Or at least, what happened after. I can understand that. Though he makes a solid point, I am certain there are a couple key points he is forgetting that I won't go into because it would be impossible not to spoil something. If anyone has read this book and would like to know what I am referring to, please feel free to message me and I will explain.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone. It was fun and though provoking. I found myself putting it down and thinking about what I just read numerous times. As well as going back and re-reading things just to make sure I understood. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was because I was able to guess most of the twists. But, I am usually that person who figures out whodunnit first in movies and books alike lol.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book from NetGalley in return for an honest review, thank you very much for the opportunity.

All I can say is WOW! WOW! WOW!

I loved this book! A thriller with twists and turns the reader will not expect. This is a book unlike others that flows seamlessly and never felt choppy, as it is written by two authors. I love suspense novels, but this one is one not to be missed! What first drew me in was the cover of this book. Yes, I sometimes read a book by its cover, and I loved this one. The cover and the description “Assume Nothing” made me want to read it immediately!

This story intertwines the lives of Nellie, Vanessa, Emma, and Richard. The story delves into the typical marriage with the other woman scenario and what appears to the naked eye may not be what is going on behind the scenes. Troubles, secrets, manipulation, scheming, deep seated psychological troubles... I found myself reading and re-reading parts to be sure what I was actually reading what I thought it was.

We first meet Nellie, a pre-school teacher, who is enthralled by Richard Thompson and his prince-like charm. He is too good to be true in Nellie's opinion and he is going to protect and take care of her. She will finally be safe from her haunting past. We feel bad for her, we are happy her life is turning around. We see Nellie’s life unfold pre-marriage, marriage, and then we meet Emma, Nellie’s replacement who is Richard’s assistant and soon to be wife. Nellie sets out to save Emma from Richard, but is she just the jealous ex that drinks too much and has an unhealthy obsession for the man she lost? Is it really like that at all? The book kept me reading late into the night wanting to know what would happen next. When I began the book, I thought I knew what was happening, then the authors performed their magic and it was not as it appeared. Keep reading and you will see.

The book description reads “ASSUME NOTHING” and this truly is something to keep reminding yourself of while reading this book. OR, perhaps. you should not read too many reviews and go in blind, you are guaranteed a thrilling ride with bumps, twists, and turns. This is a psychological thriller like no other, very well written, and keeps the reader engaged with an ending you would not expect, just when you thought it was over.

This is a book I will recommend to my friends and relatives that love a good psychological thrilling page-turner. Possible my next book club recommendation?? It would be great discussion book. The book will come out in January 2018, I recommend a pre-order as soon as you can!!

A big thank you to Greer Hendricks, Sarah Pekkanen, St. Martin Press, and Netgalley for the free copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review.

Amazing! This was multifaceted perfection! Interwoven storylines with little give so the reader watches a slow progression of madness, a pain that hurts so good. We are truly left wondering for who to cheer, whom to despise. And just when we think we have it solved, there’s a spanner in the works, and again, and again.

I could not be more complimentary of this stellar piece. The authors worked a literary miracle on these pages.
