this was one great book. Thank you, Net Galley, for picking me to read and review it.
It started out slow, first 30 pages but after that I read it one sitting. The best part is I did not know what was going to happen. I usually know what is going on but the twist and turns in this book were phenomenal. When I thought I knew what was going on - there would be a twist. But in the end, everything fit together.
Surprising me were the women, -the layers and layers. I do not want to say much more because it will ruin it.
I would highly recommend this book. This review is sparse in details because this book is best read without knowing the details or outcome.
A pretty average book. Not a lot of suspense or mystery. I kept waiting but the 'surprises' never occurred.
This book is exactly what I look for in a thriller! It definitely kept me guessing until the very end. I would highly recommend this book and will do exactly that. I would definitely read more by these authors.
This is an incredible read! I literally could not put it down. It hooks you from the very first paragraph and never lets go. The writing is smart, modern, highly believable and each character is brilliantly portrayed. There are several twists and turns that you never see coming! It constantly keeps you guessing. This book is highly original and just when you think you've figured out what is happening, things change. You never see it coming. It is impossible to discuss the plot without giving away too much but this is one brilliant book that deserves to be atop best seller lists across the world. I can already see it shortlisted for awards and the eventual starring role that major actress will fight to perform. It is a wonderful book and the author deserves all the success that I am sure will be forthcoming.
The twists and turns are amazing, quite literally right up to the Epilogue. I honestly never saw it coming. I was actually sorry to see the book end because I wanted to know how did each of the main characters evolve and did they find peace and happiness. The ending was perfect as was each and every sentence. This is a very good, enjoyable read!
A lot of the books that I read and review are fun, entertaining, instructive, and insightful. Others are dull, boring or just books that you can't wait to end. When I started this book I found almost immediately that I loved the writing style, felt comfortable with the pace of the book and found myself really drawn in to the lives of these very compelling, interesting individuals. The characters are both very real and totally unforgettable. Every single word is perfectly chosen. This is a magnificent piece of writing and I feel so lucky to have been allowed to preview this awesome accomplishment! This is a beautifully crafted book!

Twisty, turny, & terrific!
I loved this book! I was soo excited for this one and I was definitely pleased. I was shocked with the FIRST (yes- there's more) twist. I didn't even think the possibility! I want to say more but you should go in as blind as possible for The Wife Between us! I would go in a Many thanks Netgalley!
I don't often get surprised by the twists and turns of a thriller. This one was the exception. Great plot, well told tale. While I felt confused through much of the book, the pieces finally fell in place at the 96% mark. Stay until the end on this one. You will not be disappointed.

*I received this book from NetGally in exchange for an honest review.
Overall this book had some great twists and turns that I did not see coming! I was pleasantly surprised at the way the book was set up with the characters and the way I was drawn into their lives.*Possible Spoiler* I will say that this book may be a potential trigger if you’ve dealt with any type of abuse in your life. *End Possible Spoiler* The reason this book didn’t get a higher rating from me was the ending. It felt very forced and somewhat rushed. The book seemed to unravel all the strings just to mush them all back together at the end, brining in old characters that didn’t have to do with the current story line and brining up even more questions about main characters.

Wow, now that was one great read!! Tense and twisty in all the right ways, with enough surprises sprinkled throughout to keep you on your toes. I don't want to say more to spoil anything but I will be recommending this one far and wide!!
This was okay.I enjoyed the first part but it went down hill from there,The characters were unlikable and the twists were such that I just ended up confused.I enjoy an unreliable narrator but this was a slog.
This book was extremely good. Right up to the end of the book there are plot twists and information to digest. All so seamlessly done it is incredible. Psychological thriller with more complex personalities than I have experienced in a while. I will read anything this talented author writes.
The book blurb says to assume nothing and that is dead on. Being told not to assume anything immediately put me on my guard to question everything I was reading, convinced that I would be able to find the cracks that would allow me to figure out what was going on. I was so wrong. The twist is that good. Really. If you love books full of misdirection and you love desperately trying to follow clues by tracking breadcrumbs along the way then this is a perfect read for you.
The Wife Between Us is a must read!!! The twists in the plot always surprised me. When I thought I knew what was going on, another major twist. Even at the very end of the book another twist totally changed the story. This book comes with my highest recommendation.
Why four stars I hear you cry when I so rarely give that ,well it's cause of the concept of perceptions ,our perception may be one thing ,a clear picture in our mind ,we have set out the characters on the stage and expect certain things of them ,this novel turns that on its head ,
Having read other reviews before I bought the novel saying similar an then starting to read it I cdnt understand what they meant ,and then ,well u will see ,it's not at the end it's half way through and then we follow another path.
I would Defo read this author again and reccimend to friends .
Was lucky to read through netgalley
Having never read anything by the authors before, I had absolutely no expectations when starting this book, except for an enjoyable few hours. I got that and more! This book took so many twists and turns and double around a that my head was spinning in delight as I strived to keep up with the pace. To say that I devoured this book would be inaccurate. I feasted on it not just while reading it but as it replayed in my head for a few days afterward. Kudos to the authors for creating an excellent book where nothing seems right but it all seems so very real.
Wow, it’s been a while since I read a thriller that wouldn’t let me put the book down.
As soon as I read the description for this novel I knew it was right for me. It grabbed me on the first page and after many twists and turns it still had my attention until the last page.
This is one of those books that I want to be able to give more than five stars as a rating. It was so good!
I don’t want to say anything about this book because I don’t want to risk spoiling anything, I think the publisher’s description should be more than enough.
If you love a good thriller, just read this, you won’t be disappointed.
The Wife Between Us is part Girl on the Train, part Gone Girl, and all intriguing.
It's hard to explain the plot with out giving away the book but at it's most simplest, it's a book about an ex wife dealing with the marriage of her ex husband. But things are nevr what they seem so the story snakes around and tales a fascination tale of deception and manipulation.
I really enjoyed this book. There were two twists I didn't see coming. I can't say anything about them but they change the way you view the book. If you read carefully, you will some of the smaller twists coming and feel pride when the events pay off-so don't let go of your theories just because you get thrown a loop.
The book lost a star for it's ending. The final acted was some what confusing and seemed misplaced though the final twist tries to explain why it seemed so weird. In fact, I feel like the Epilogue was wasted on this book. It would have been the greatest premise for a companion novel where you could really get into that character.
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
First word that came to mind once finished was Wow!! This book was not what I thought it would be and many times things were not what I expected to happen. I have to admit that the beginning of the book was a little slow for me. The first 2 characters had me confused as to who was who, I actually thought at one point that maybe they were one in the same. Which then led me in the wrong direction of where the story was going. Once I was back on track in my own mind and with the story I could not put it down! The twists and turns kept me guessing and definitely had me wanting to find out what was going to happen next. The main character at first was just a sad shell of a woman that she once was...her memories drowning her. By the end she became a strong and brave woman with her voice back! Great read!
I don't often give 5 stars. But this book was just that good. Very hard to put down. Great, believable characters, subtle plot twists that packed a punch. I rooted for all the women in this novel. Do yourselves a favour and buy this book.
Thank you Netgalley and St Martin’s for the ARC. I was excited to get this one. It piqued my interest as soon as I read the description. I’m a sucker for a modern day Rebecca. The first 20% of the book was a bit slow for me, but it was necessary for the authors to lay down the groundwork for what is to come. But hang in there, because there is a twist that may give you whiplash after the first third of the book. All I will say to keep it spoiler free is; well played Hendricks and Pekkanen. Well played. You got me. It goes to show how skilled the authors are to have pulled it off. I like my thrillers to be a little twisted and dark. This one did have some of those mind game moments that bordered on those qualities. Although I think that the authors could have done much, much more damage to their characters with the basic idea they had for this book. However it kept my interest and I did enjoy it. My favorite part was the epilogue when we get the POV of a certain character. That last bit felt like it brought the book to a whole new level of twisted… my kind of twisted. Too bad the POV is short. In the sea of thrillers out there, this book will stand out and make a huge splash. There is no doubt about that.
Excellent story...the lives of four woman are entwined in ways that seem random, but are the result of machinations by one or more of them. What is real and what isn't? It's hard to figure out the villain in this intricately woven story of love, lies and deceit. Lots of surprises move the story along.
