I,enjoyed this book and it kept me gripped throughout but in parts difficult to read because of the storyline. I would recommend this book to others who enjoy this genre. It ended leaving the readers wondering what happened next

Fascinating story and told from different characters perspective. Had me enthralled to the final flourish and finale.

This book left me gasping for breath! Unexpected, fast paced, horribly believable, I was with the protagonist, Francine, all the way! From her frustrating meetings with her ex husband, to the exciting finale, I loved every moment.
Not an easy read, at times, but never tedious, and certainly never predictable.
I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Brilliant. I read this book in one sitting. I could not put it down. There is suspense from the start right up to the last page. Francine's daughter, Autumn was kidnapped 10 years ago. A girl called Lena puts a note through her letterbox telling that she know where Autumn is. This is the start of the rollercoaster of Francine's search for her daughter. The plot has been well thought out and some of the detail is horrific. This all makes this book a really good read which I thoroughly recommend. I hope there is a sequel.

This novel was an unusual twist on the mystery/thriller genre and I found it quite a compelling read.
Francine's daughter, Autumn, was abducted 10 years ago and although Francine has never given up hope of finding Autumn alive, the trail seems to have run dry. It is then that a letter turns up at Francine's door and it reads "I know where she is." Soon the writer of the note makes herself known and helps Francine piece together the details of her daughter's disappearence. Where is Autumn now though and can she still be saved?
I enjoyed this book very much and was gripped right up until the end. There were lots of unexpected twists and I really didn't foresee the final outcome.

This was a gripping read, I had to force myself to put it down. Francine's daughter was kidnapped 10 years ago while shopping. As a mother myself I cant imagine how you live with that day in and day out. Francine is coping the best way she can. When one day she gets a note through her door. Saying "I know where she is". Not knowing what to do, Francine calls her ex husband up. Will doesn't believes its just a prank, as its coming up to the 10th anniversary. The next day Francine notices a suspicious young girl hanging around her car. Francine rushes out to find out whats going on. Only to be asked did you get my note? The girl tells Francine her name is Lena and that she has been with Autumn or as she is now know Mel. She says they are trapped in a house in the woods by very bad people. You can't go to the police as they will just cover it up. Francine is prepared to take matters in her own hands. Do things she never thought she was capable of to get her daughter back.

I loved this book; I completely immersed myself in it, suspended my disbelief and enjoyed one hell of a ride. It is dark, disturbing and very twisted.

Francine is the mother whose daughter was abducted 10 years previously. She has split from her husband, who has moved on in spectacular fashion and reaped the financial rewards of healing after his loss. She is a borderline alcoholic and has no social life to speak of, but she is driven and determined to find her daughter.

Francine is thrown into an adrenaline fuelled race to get to her daughter before her captors realise she is on to them. Despicable people are introduced and a horrific scenario is described. Francine never falters though, and it becomes evident that her daughter is a chip off the old block and equally determined and mentally strong. As the book progressed and the suspense and terror escalated I found myself having to remember to breathe!

The book ends with a resolution of sorts, but I hope that this is developed into a series. I will definitely be looking out for further books my S.B. Caves.

To be honest I found the subject matter of this book very disturbing and the ending unrealistic. I didn't think the mother would really be able to get past all of those armed guards and save her daughter. Written well though.

This book had all the elements of a fast paced, exciting thriller from the first page to the last. Definitely a good, thought provoking read, the details of which are, sadly, not so far fetched.

This book drew me in from the first page and didn't let go until the last.
It is a well written fast paced thriller that I couldn't put down, in fact I read it in one day! S.B Caves is a new author to me and I will certainly looking out for more from this author.

I must admit I struggled with the beginning of this book. It was a fairly slow start and I was unsettled by the subject having a teenage daughter myself. I put down for a while and read something lighter and returned. I am glad I did. I finished quickly as it turned into a fast paced, thrilling read. The subject was handled sensitively. A good gripping drama.

I found this book very tense. It showed how different people react in very different ways to the same scenario. Both parents had different coping strategies. The ending was what I expected and I think I would have liked it to have a more surprising conclusion.

Autumn was kidnapped 10 years earlier and the stress of trying to find her took its toll on her parents who divorced. One day her mother Francine, found a note through her door saying briefly and to the point, 'I know where she is'. Many times Francine had previously been the victim of cruel hoaxes so why was this message any different?
Would Francine find her daughter alive? Or was it far too late to believe she could have survived. Her ex-husband Will seemed more interested in his new life than helping Francine with what he deemed a pointless and fruitless task after so long. This fast paced page turner of a book delivered a tense, gritty and quite disconcerting story but one which I found thoroughly absorbing.

I was so looking forward to reading this book as the storyline promised to be exciting and fast paced, just the kind of book I’m usually unable to put down. I liked the beginning and how the scene was set for the heroine, Francine to tackle the impossible i.e. to locate and recover her daughter who disappeared 10 years previously. Although the pace was non-stop, I found the one-woman search barely believable. It was just too far-fetched and lacked credibility. I wouldn’t recommend it.

This was quite a fast paced book which I enjoyed reading. However I did find it difficult to relate to some of the characters, particularly Francine. As a mother I am sure you would go to any lengths to find your child, but what Francine achieved single handedly was nothing short of miraculous, particularly in view of the indifference of her ex husband who seemed to have made himself a very comfortable lifestyle following his daughter's disappearance.

Ten years ago Autumn was taken from the supermarket while out with her mother Francine, and she is still struggling to come to terms with the disappearance. Her ex husband dealt with this differently, has moved on with a new wife and has made a fortune on the back of her disappearance but Francine still believes Autumn is still alive. And she is!!!!
A great story and well deserving of five stars.

When I first started this book, Lena, a functioning alcoholic was not my favourite character. But she had just been through a difficult decade, having her daughter kidnapped, her marriage break up and her husband blame her in a somewhat passive aggressive style, so I'm glad I stuck with her. Lena never lost hope, and got a message one day that someone knows the location of her daughter. Lena comes to life and exhibits a strength, courage and persistence that is phenomenal, while all the time remaining grounded and assured. Fortunately,it seems her daughter will have that same strength of character for the sequel that is much anticipated! Thank you netgalley and publisher for the chance to read this book in exchange for my unbiased opinion.

I was engrossed for the first few chapters and then it just faded into too many very unlikely coincidences. The characters were fairly unlikable even Francine who should have had my sympathy ended up showing a nasty side.

I quite enjoyed this story, but it is very far fetched. Francine's young daughter was abducted 10 years ago. When a young girl turns up at her apartment claiming to know where she is, Francine is determined to find her. What follows is a story of horrific abuse, car chases and lots of violence. It's a decent enough read, but I felt it didn't quite ring true, and the ending did not provide any closure. Thanks to NetGalley for a preview copy.
