The Billionaire's Paradise is a sexy, fun read. Avery is a successful, in-demand consultant hired to figure out what's wrong with a hotel situated on a tropical island. She's scarred from a nasty divorce from a cheating ex, and she hasn't had a vacation in years, while she was building up her consulting business. Hayden is a billionaire playboy who runs a hotel empire. He hasn't been able to get Avery out of his mind ever since his one sexy night with her months ago when she sneaked out the next morning. He's intrigued by the one woman who doesn't cling, who doesn't want his money or all the pleasure he can lavish on her, the way most women in his life want. So he sets out to seduce her back into his bed, but only temporarily, because he doesn't do relationships, he doesn't do feelings and he doesn't do commitment.
When Avery arrives and finds Hayden there, she's distracted by how much she's still attracted to the man, but she is absolutely determined not to become another notch on his bedpost, AGAIN, so she makes every effort to stay away from him unless they're dealing with strictly business. Unfortunately, her body is not in agreement with her mind, and Hayden is so persistent, so charming and so seductive that soon they're indulging in a tropical tryst, even though Avery just knows she's going to get her heart broken by him when he does something hurtful. The inevitable fallout was pretty bad, as expected, but Avery gives in far too quickly. If I had been her, I would have made the man grovel far more. And thank God for Wyatt, Hayden's friend, because he was the smart one in their friendship, and made Hayden realize he had to fight for Avery if he truly wanted her in his life.
What I liked about The Billionaire's Paradise, other than the sexy chemistry, is that both Avery and Hayden are realistic (the billionaire aspect aside) with scars and emotional issues like the rest of us. They're complex and layered, which is not always the case in romances these days. I like their back and forth and how Avery was so determined not to fall for Hayden's playboy ways. And I absolutely love the playboy brought to his knees by true love trope, and Victoria Davies executes it really well here. Kudos to her for this sexy, emotionally layered romance.
Hayden a billionaire who was a hotel mongrel. Hayden was going because Avery would be there. Avery was a difficult woman to corner with the world as her playground she was almost as elusive as Hayden was. It took Hayden awhile to track Avery down. He had used all his usual tricks to get her to spend more time with him but she had turned him down. Wyatt would run the business while Hayden was gone. Wyatt was a little surprised Hayden had went this far to see Avery again. Wyatt was the V P of Hayden hotel franchise. They had only one night together after the Christmas Gala and very had slipped away in the morning. Wyatt reminded Hayden Avery was smart, savvy , and very sexy. Hayden had worked with Avery for years and she had made them millions of dollars in the past finding and fixing problems in the hotels Avery was hired to fix. When Hayden fell asleep at night he couldn’t shake the image of being with Avery for that one night. Hayden felt he just had to convince Avery to have an affair with him, They were both single so they wouldn’t be hurting anyone. Hayden could silence all the voices in Avery’s head until all she could think about was him. Avery loved being so close to the ocean. But she was at this hotel because this once profit making hotel wasn’t doing as well and Avery needed to find out why and fix it. Avery’s assistant Karen was with her to help. Avery liked being master of her own schedule and keeping busy and Avery was very good at her job. Avery felt the world was too big to stay in one place for too long. Then Avery realizes Hayden is in the very lobby she was in. Hayden had barely noticed Avery until that night at the Gala. Avery had been a little tipsy on champagne and had her night with Hayden. Avery would like to spend more time with Hayden but she had been down that road before with a different man- Jonathan/Jon who had been her husband nut had been a love them and leave them type of guy Avery had found out but the same heartache. Jon had been Avery’s dream come true and for four years AVery had been incredibly happy Then her life had shattered. Avery had been divorced for two years. Avery had never really got the knack of casual sex. Hayden told Avery he was interested in getting the hotel back on track. Avery felt Hayden was messing with her head and this project could take weeks. Avery’s life was governed by three rules: 1) Never mix business with pleasure 2) Never have a one night stand 3) Never get involved with a playboy. She had broken all three rules for Hayden. It had been years since had wanted Avery so much. Avery was to make daily reports to Hayden. Hayden thought at least he would see Avery every day. There had been way too much turnover in the hotel’s employees. Also Karen had done a preliminary walk through and found stains on the carpets, cracks in the paint, cobwebs in the corners which were all sins that no five star hotel should be guilty of . Now Avery had something to start with as quality was declining. Hayden felt he should not have stayed away from this hotel for so long but the sound of the ocean and the spray of the ocean only reminded Hayden of a hard dark time in his life.. The memory of laughing blue eyes and bouncing blonde hair filled Aiden’s head The woman’s name was Sophie and she had loved the beach, Hayden couldn’t remember the amount of times Sophia had asked him to take her to someplace warm and exotic. Hayden ha d been too young and a romantic fool. It took a broken heart and shallow life for Hayden to learn nothing lasts. One thing Hayden was sure of love meant weakness. Hayden also knew he would never let himself be weak again. Hayden did wonder what he might have had with someone like Avery if Sophia hadn’t destroyed him.
I really enjoyed this book, I liked the plot. I liked the pace most of the time but this did drag at times. I like Hayden and Avery together. I also like Hayden and Avery had been broken hearted yet found each other after knowing each other along time. I liked how Hayden was determined to get Avery for more than the one night he had already had with her. I also liked how descriptive the author had been. I liked how determined Avery was to do a good job at whatever hotel hired her. I would have liked a little more back story on Avery and Hayden but I still loved what we did know of their background. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I recommend.
This is a slight departure from a formulaic billionaire romance, The heroine, Avery, is a professional woman who consults to improve hotels. Her major client is the billionaire Hayden with whom she’d shared a sexy night about six months before the book begins. Hayden can’t forget her and has arranged for her to consult on one of his hotels on an unnamed Pacific island so that he can resume sleeping with her.
Both protagonists have past romantic histories that makes them insecure about forming any more permanent romantic relationship. The novel is about how they come to overcome those doubts. While parts of the novel are pretty predictable, if you like the whole billionaire genre of romances, you’ll enjoy this entry.
There were some problems in the version I received from NetGalley – does Avery have Auburn or brown hair? Plus, some word misprints. Nevertheless, this was a fair story. Only irritation I had was the amount of chattiness towards a certain end scene. With the expansive revelations and conversation our 2 main characters were having in that scene, it seemed to make the activity they were doing difficult to get to the big O in real life.
Great story with great characters. I really enjoyed this read!
'The Billionaire's Paradise' by Victoria Davies is book Three in the series "The Sexy Billionaires". This is the story of Avery Clark and Hayden Wexton. I have not yet read the other books, so for me this was a standalone book.
Hayden is a wealthy man who owns several hotels and it Avery's job to help figure out what is going wrong with the hotel when they start loosing money. But a one night stand between Hayden and Avery a while makes makes Hayden want to have an affair with Avery. We learn that Hayden has been trying to corner Avery after that night to talk to her but she has been avoiding him. Until now, Hayden finally has her at one of his paradise hotels where he shows up to talk her into continuing what they have. But Avery is fighting it...she is all work and she knows he is all playboy but she still finds him to hard to say not to.
I really enjoyed their story!

Avery and Hayden are happy with where their life has taken them. He's a playboy charmer with more money than he can ever spend and more women than he could ever need. She's a woman with a career that keeps her plate full and the wanderer in her satisfied. Neither realized what they were lacking until they discovered it within each other. The Billionaire's Paradise is a reminder of why romance is not dead. Ms. Davies delivers characters that are gorgeously laid out for the lover in readers everywhere.
An adorably fun read with characters that just made me smile. Avery is takes her job very serious and hasn't had a vacation in 2 years. She just doesn't have the time. Plus keeping busy is what keeps her sane. Hayden knows how to work hard too but he also knows how to play just as hard. After meeting Avery he's determined to show her how a little fun and being bad can be oh so good!
Don't miss this one, I highly recommend it.
Victoria Davies is a new author to me and I haven't read the previous books in this series but that made no difference to the enjoyment I got from The Billionaires Paradise, it really can be read and enjoyed as a standalone.
This story is so much more than your normal Billionaire Romance in this book we have two people who have so many obstacles to get over, they spent a night together that was full of passion a while ago but will passion be enough for them both to get over issues that haunt them, they both need to let go of regrets, anger and disappointment for them to have any chance of love.
Avery reviews and writes reports on how resorts that are not performing as expected need to change and she is working on Hayden's Tropical Island Resort, the last thing she expects ir needs is for Hayden to turn up, maybe he remembers that night as vividly as she does but she doesn't need another unfaithful playboy in her life.....
What happens when two damaged people fall for each other, will passion be enough or will their past experiences destroy them, the chemistry between Avery and Hayden is sizzling hot and I loved how even though they needed to protect their hearts they were still honest with each other. I read this book in one sitting and I will be looking for more from Victoria Davies and if you love romance with strong characters I recommend you put this on your TBR list.
Please note: I received a copy of THE BILLIONAIRE'S PARADISE from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to the publisher and author.
I was excited to read Victoria Davies' THE BILLIONAIRE'S PARADISE because I’ve heard her magic series rocked romance. What I love about this particular story is that it’s not your typical billionaire romance with a demure woman and an alpha male. What made this story special is that both the hero and heroine have a past history riddled with regrets and longing, and each character while strong in their own right, have to finally let go of their bitter disappointment and anger in order to have any future with someone else. The heroine, Avery, is a professional woman, who despite the hard knocks her life took when her playboy husband couldn’t remain faithful, consults with billionaire extraordinaire Hayden six months after one sexy hook-up they shared. At first blush, Hayden is your typical alpha player, but clearly, there’s more there than just a sound mind and hot body. His heart can’t forget Avery and what they shared and so he arranges for her to consult on one of his hotels in dire need of reorganization with the hope that they can pick up where they left off. The tug and pull of “will we or won’t we” ensues in utter hilarity.
While some of the story is somewhat predictable, if you like billionaire romances with sexy banter, hot scenes, and great pace writing, you’ll devour this entry like I did. Highly recommend.
Avery and Hayden have been business colleagues since a long time, till one night changes it all. And now Hayden can't stop thinking about her. And a romantic island, where she's been hired to consult on one of his hotels, seems the best place to put his seduction plan in action.
Avery is not going to give into the attraction when she knows she needs stability in life and there is zero chance of anything real developing between them, what with Hayden being all about just pleasure and revelry.
But how long can Avery hold out to Hayden's charm, especially when his slightest touch sends her pulse racing.
The billionaires paradise was a captivating read. The characters are very well developed. They both have had their heart broken and it felt very real the way they got past it. A sweet, funny and sexy story that I enjoyed very much.
This book has everything you want in a book. Hunk of a male, strong and sexy woman, great secondary characters and steamy love scenes. What more could you ask for. So happy to give this book 5 stars, it totally deserves it. Would recommend
What a great story this is, tightly woven together with two people who have a one night past with each other and a suitcase full of painful baggage from the past. Can they ever work through these problems and the bigger question, do either of them really want to?
Hayden owns a large company of hotel chains and rule of thumb is to hire Avery's company to come in as a consultant to try to right things with the problems. She's perfect at what she does. After a marriage gone very badly, she threw herself into her work and her reputation only grew from there.
She's done work for Hayden's company before, always dealing with Wyatt, his CEO. Hayden never really paid much attention to Avery, why would he when he always had a super model or stick Barbie hanging off his arm. Hayden is a one and done. For him it's easier to throw money or jewelry at them.
That's his answer. Until he meets Avery at a Christmas gala and the two spend the night together after which Avery flees. No woman has ever run away from him. He pursues her on a regular basis and finally gets her to take a job in Hawaii looking at one of his hotels that isn't doing well.
When he shows up after Avery and her partner Karen arrive, Avery isn't happy. For multiple reasons.
I have to say that Hayden was slicker that cat poop, or at least he thought he was. Talking the big talk and Avery being a little too smart for Hayden's nonsense, driving Hayden to the point of frustration.
Hayden in return pursues her at almost every turn and corners her into doing things and occupying her time. The only time these two seem to settle is when they kiss. Even then, Avery has a comment. Avery isn't stupid, she makes valid, reasonable points to which Hayden seems to give her some half a@@ answer that only further proves Avery's feelings about her. And Hayden has already told her, he's not interested in anything other than temporary.
Avery and Karen are quickly sorting out the problems with the resort and the report is almost ready to go. Hayden and Avery spend some very close quality time together and things change very quickly for them, until an incident sends Avery fleeing back to the mainland and Hayden.... I can't even tell you.
He's just a little too calm after what happens. All that energy and wooing he did to claim Avery and then what? Thank God for Wyatt. That's all I'll say.
This is a great read. The characters are both fully fleshed out and deep. They both have their own problems that are all too real and Victoria wrote them so very well. Especially with Hayden. Sometimes we don't see the mans perspective in such a way in a book. Not so in this one and I really liked that. Avery was great as well. For all the dancing around each other these two did, Victoria managed to bring them full circle in an adult manner. How refreshing!
Great story Victoria! This is a must read.

This is an engaging novel that I thoroughly enjoyed. In it, Avery is still nursing her wounds after her divorce from a wealthy playboy who thought fidelity was optional. A few months prior to the novel's opening, Avery had had a one night stand with a different wealthy playboy, Hayden. She knows she can't expect anything from him, so she avoids him afterwards.
Then Avery travels to a tropical island to review Hayden's resort there, only to be stunned when Hayden is there to see her - even going as far as creating reasons requiring her presence. However, Hayden has demons of his own and will not lie to her and promise a future that isn't possible.
This is a sweet story about two damaged individuals that are trying to find their way forward while protecting their hearts. I loved how, despite being damaged, that they both strove to be honest in their interactions with each other.
Fans of the genre will want to put this on their TBR list. Just be warned that, while I described this novel as sweet (and it is), it's also explicit and not for younger readers.
