This story was very cute, I loved how geeky Blaine was it just made it all the hotter when his alpha side came out. It was a relief that Cassie made Blaine work for their relationship I don't think he would have respected her if it all came too easy.

I usually wait a day or so after reading a book to really let it sink in and form overall opinions about it before reviewing.... but this story was so bizarre I'm not sure which angle to come at.
The story reads like a YA. Or possibly has been written by a young adult. Or both/either/neither... but the tone is all wrong. Cassie is written to be 25, Blaine 10 years older - so 35. These two act like teenagers (and not terribly mature ones, at that) but fuck like porn stars. One minute he's wrist-deep in her (and I'm all for kinky fuckery, but that is not my bag) acting dominant and alpha, and the next he's baffled by purchasing bras? At one point (sorry for spoilers) he buys her a *promise ring*??? Is he in grade 11 or something? He's putting the full-court press on someone he claims to want to marry, but sets himself the timeline of a single weekend? And the "revelation" that he actually has to put in more time is the big, dramatic ending? what? His strange urge to quiz her about all of her sexual experiences before him (while none ya' business) reeks of insecurity, despite the fact that he considers himself a stud in the bedroom.
Lets cut to Cassie - She fell in love over the course of a week, and had her heart broken. Fair enough. Sometimes love hurts. But then she goes on (and more than once) wishes to fall pregnant (while very carefully practicing safe sex... have you ever taken a sex ed class IN YOUR LIFE?) in an attempt to keep him? Juvenile, bordering on clingy/trappy/needy. Also immature and highly unnecessary is throwing her rebound in his face. Then after finding out the reason he hit it and quit it last time - he was reeling from the suicide of his father, which, I'm going to give him a pass for... that's a pretty damn good explanation - she still makes him grovel, beg, hurt, jump thru hoops and generally lick her boots. He agreed to driving to her every weekend, giving her the option of dating other men (?! have some self-respect, guy) and doing only what she wants, when she wants.
This whole relationship is fucked.
I'm trying to figure out if maybe adjusting their ages to somewhere late teens/early 20's would make this more acceptable, or skivvier. There's such a weird dichotomy here. The only impressions I'm left with after reading this are not positive, sorry.
