If you are looking for a good read, read this. It was well written, with great characters. I can't wait to see what's next!
Thank god one of them was a firefighter because there was so much heat jumping off the page, i was concerned.
Caitlyn and Shane make an adorable couple with lots of fun sarcastic back and forth, plenty of chemistry and heat, and a really great cast of characters in the background. I think this part of a series and I really am looking forward to reading more. This was a great intro book into the town and characters and I expect great things from the author.
Her Sexy Challange was a quick and fun read. Caitlin and Shane were great characters and I ended up reading this one in one sitting. This was a good start to a new series and I am excited for more.
Fun, funny and naughty. Author #Sarah Ballance in ‘Her Sexy Challenge is a wonderful
weekend read. This is in the Firefighters Station 1 romantic comedy series. So it’s nice when your finished that you can start another book. Because this one had me laughing the first few minutes.
Thank you,

Her Sexy Challenge by Sarah Ballance a fancy four-star read. I have really enjoyed other reads by this author so knew I couldn’t miss this one, hunky firefighters what more could you ask for. Dry Rock sounds like a nice place to live, idyllic a river to dip your toes in a hot firefighting department all that it needed was a bookstore to pick up all the goodies and Caitlin Tyler seems to bring that. This is a sun story with some great romance and steam, I didn’t give it five-stars as I really enjoyed it but I didn’t devour it like I have other works by this author.
Sarah Ballance's Her Sexy Challenge was a super sweet and sexy story. I loved every minute of it!
Here is a book that I have been looking forward to for a long time! Can't wait to read more by this author!
I loved this book! There's no doubt in that. Anyone having a soft spot for romance novels that feature sexy and hot male protagonists! The only thing that I felt though was that the scene descriptions were dragged out unnecessarily. For example, that scene on the bridge where Caitlin was scared to cross the bridge because she had a fear of water, the scene took almost five pages. There were other instances where I felt that if the scene descriptions could have been minimized, it would have been better. Also, Shane didn't get to know the reason to Caitlin's fear of water. So, that piece of wasn't revealed. I thought Shane would get to know the reason later in the book. Anyways, apart from all these minor slips, I enjoyed my time reading this book.
I adored Her Sexy Challenge! Caitlin & Shane were such an adorable couple & I loved the story line. I liked how Shane helped Caitlin conquer her fears without at first realizing he had issues of his own that she was helping him with. Always love a book with a great HEA
I will be reading more by Sarah Ballance.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
DNF at 22%.
I like Sarah Ballance's romances so I was stoked to get approved for this ARC. Unfortunately, I just didn't get along with the hero and after he did something which crossed a line for me I gave up reading this book.
Caitlin Tyler has a number of phobias which (from the little I read) stem from the circumstances surrounding the horrific death of her parents. She lands her dream job but unfortunately getting there requires her to overcome one of her phobias - fear of crossing running water. On the day she tries, she freezes halfway and has to get rescued by the fire brigade, specifically Shane Hendricks. Strike #1, he assumes Caitlin is attempting suicide, although probably just attention seeking, and is less than sympathetic. Then a fire in the furnace in her book shop requires him to save her again. Again, his behaviour is less than professional. Strike #2, he is described as smirking waaaay too often.
Shane then decides that it is his duty to make Caitlin face her fears - he has no training in the correct way to help people who have been traumatised face their fears, oh no, he just decides to badger Caitlin into going on a non-date with him, promises that he won't force her to do anything she doesn't want to, then carries her onto the middle of a bridge over a river. I am in no way an expert (not even an amateur) at treating phobias but this was a total red flag incident for me. He had no idea whether she would completely freak out, have a panic attack (as she did on the bridge at the start of the book) or have hysterics. I found his whole attitude to be smug and arrogant and as he himself describes it 'low-key stalking'. So I have to say I didn't like this book and stopped reading at this point. I see that other people have reviewed this and found it hysterically funny - I don't see it myself.
This was such a cute book, iIt was such a light-hearted, funny and sweet to boot. Caitlin (Heroine) was not a pushover, and I love that. I also liked Shane, their banter was fun. Read it you wont regret it. Can't wait til next one.
I LOVED Her Sexy Challenge. The story consistently had me either smiling or laughing. I’m not even sure how that happened. Sarah Ballance is definitely proving to be an author who can lift my spirits. In addition to all the humor, Sarah has written extremely likeable characters. Caitlin Tyler has to learned to overcome her phobias and the frightening events of her youth. Shane Hendricks has to learn to live for himself and not the memory of a ghost. I loved watching these two get to know each other and fall in love.
I’m extremely happy that Her Sexy Challenge is the start of a new series for Sarah. There are some amazing secondary characters who promise to be just as funny in their quest for love as Caitlin and Shane. I can’t wait for the next installment in the Firefighters of Station 1 series.
Sweet, sexy read! Quick story, but packed with laughs, fun, and romance. Caitlin was super sweet even with her well-founded fears, and Shane was great at pushing her to face said fears. He was sweet even though fairly clueless about why he should stay. I really hope there are more stories set in Dry Rock. The secondary characters were awesome.
ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I would be a liar if I said I didn’t have a soft spot for firefighters. As cliche as it sounds, it’s a trope I typically enjoy. Her Sexy Challenge did not disappoint. Humourous, hot, and a couple with tons of chemistry, this novel as an enjoyable read the contemporary romance lovers won’t want to pass up. A well rounded novel, I am already looking forward to more from this series.
Her sexy challenge is one of the best books that I read this year and it has become one of my top 10 of all time. I loved really loved the story, the style of writing all the characters and everything that happens in the book. Both Catlin and Shan are great characters both easy to love. I laugh so much by their encounters all the plant and unplanned. How they met is just hilarious and all their undates were exciting. Also, their chemistry is really hot and the scenes are really great writing. I understand the urge that Shane has for proving him self but it was really great that he alone came to conclusion what really matters in life. Caitlin is great in her awkwardness and she is really funny.
I loved every page of the book. Highly recommended.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly
Her sexy challenge was a sweet and at times funny and quirky love story about Shane, a very sexy firefighter and Caitilin a new bookstore owner.
Caitlin is terrified of rushing waters and bridges. Well she scared of most things. Shane is on his way out of town and not looking for any attachments to keep him there.
He challenges Caitlin daily to face her fears while she provides him inappropriate reading material in the hopes he will go away.
In the end I really enjoyed reading their story.
Firemen stories are my fave and this has not disappointed. More please!
Her Sexy Challenge by Sarah Ballance is witty, charming, and absolutely sexy. Any story that involves firefighters, a bookstore and a woman overcoming her fears is worth reading.
A witty, charming and absolute must read from an author who makes me laugh and finally conquer my own fears.
From start to finish this book pulled at me to keep reading. I guess it helps when you connect with a character or a problem within the story. I totally connected with Caitlin and her fear of bridges and water. I've found myself having mini panic attacks on more than one occasion. It's terrifying to a point that you can not move.
Now add in one very sexy fighter fighter (Shane) and the interest just grew exponentially. Really who can resist a sexy fireman. The chemistry is hot and the story will have you in need of a very cool drink. I know after reading this one I will definitely be coming back for more from this author.
