I have been a Danielle Steel fan from her very first book. This book made me laugh, cry and want to schedule a check up. I got so involved with the characters that I could not put the book down. I wanted to leap into the book and take out the Stepmother and her kids.I feel like I went to the valley on vacation and met a new friend. Ms. Steel has a talent that just draws you in and keeps you thinking of the characters long after the book has ended. Honestly, as a fan and regular Steel reader, I found that I liked this book even more than most of Danielle Steel's recent books.
Danielle Steel never disappoints. Although her formula remains predictable, characters are always interesting. Some likeable, some not so much. I read this is 2 sittings. Perfect title for this novel.
I have so many things I want to say about this book. I left alot of questions. I feel the ending I was left with more questions with answer. Overall I love the book.
At first this story seemed a bit "jumbled", but then everything fell into place as Camille was left with heartbreak and tragedy. and a sinster stepmother to contend with. Fortunately, her only true friend and ally is Maxine's mother.
This is set in the beautiful Napa Valley area of California, which is truly a beautiful sight to behold. America the Beautiful!
The tense moments brought my emotions to a boil, as my heart went out to Camille. Sit back, relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the scenery as the story unfolds.
I would recommend this book to friends and family.
I've been reading Danielle Steel's books since I was a teenager. Her storytelling is a finely crafted art. You know something really bad is going to happen, but you hope that it won't anyway. Her characters always overcome their obstacles and find love. Fairytale not only showed romantic love but also love in friendship.
Fairytale is another Best Seller from Danielle Steel!!!! A powerful novel about love, relationships, sadness, death, and trust! I love a novel that makes you feel emotion while reading. This book does just that!!! I cried, I felt pure sadness, and at times I was very angry. This novel draws you in and you cannot stop reading until you find out what happens next! I highly recommend this book!
A modern day story of a beautiful Cinderella and her evil stepmother. This story is set in Napa Valley and I could quickly see the setting with the Chateau and grape vines. Steel quickly and effortlessly laid out the setting and background and the Cinderella character quickly emerged to battle the evil stepmother. Perhaps a real life fairy godmother was involved too! I was quickly drawn in to this story and it was a quick read for me.
This book made me very angry, sad and happy all in the same story. I did not believe for a minute tha Maxine could get away with what she did to Camille. The ending was a little wishy washy but all in all it wasn't a bad way to spend the day reading this book.
