In this episode, Asanti summons helpers, in na attempt to create controllable magic. It goes wrong, of course. Then, Team Three is called to solve the problem without even knowing who started it.
I really enjoyed this episode. It showed a different side, more benign, of magic. We also get to know more about what Liam felt when he was possessed, which I pretty cool.
If you haven’t checked out the series, you should!
It's interesting reading these as they come out - it means that a story like this, which I think might have otherwise faded into the background, has a chance to stand on it's own.
The quality of this series has never been in doubt, and this is another good entry, though it's shorter than the rest. It may still be on the dark side, but it's also definitely lighter; once this season is published in it's entirety it will make a good sorbet to fit between the heavier stories.
As ever, thank you to the publisher and to Netgalley for providing an advance copy in return for an honest review.
