Blake Wellstone is a cowboy through and through, his wealth and status obtained by years of hard work on his cattle stations spread out across Australia. But this farmer isn't looking for a wife – his first love ended in tragedy, and he will never put his heart on the line again. The land is his love, and he's happy that way.
Sasha Hepworth has goals and ambitions and she has worked very hard for her success. She's just forgotten how to enjoy herself. So a weekend fling with a gorgeous cowboy is just what she needs – after all, it can't go any further. She'd never leave the conveniences and beauty of the city for a dusty outback town.
But a weekend of fine dining and spectacular sights isn't enough for Blake and Sasha, and the growing feelings that neither can deny make them question everything about their lives. When a city girl meets a country boy, will they find middle ground?
This was an okay story. Two perfect characters, have sex, wonder if they are meant to live together, forever.
Okay, that's a bit simplified but it does go some way to describing what this story is about. A beautiful woman hooks up with a handsome cowboy in a dusty outback town...stop me if you have heard this one before...
And that's the problem. While this is not a bad book by any stretch of the imagination, there hasn't been a whole lot of imagination put into it. It feels like sometimes these books are written to a plot skeleton and the authors just colour in between the lines, so to speak.
If you like fluffy romance stories with cowboys and sex scenes, then this is probably for you.

Blake is a successful outback farmer while Sasha has a good career in the city . Good story on how city and country need to meet for these two to find a future.
Ebook from Netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.
As far as first books by a new to me author, I was pleasantly entertained throughout the story. The romance was spot on, the intimacy captivating, and with a HEA anyone would love to have for themselves. Even the locale is gorgeous...a win all the way around.

Another good read by author Mandy Magro. Some likeable characters that grab readers attention.

The Billionaire Cattle Baron is the first Mandy Magro book that I've read. Set partly in Sydney and partly on a lush country cattle station this is a contemporary Australian love story with a fair bit of heat thrown in for good measure.
The story is fairly well written though at times the pace is a bit slow for my liking. The sex scenes were some of the best I've read in a long time and will appeal to readers who like their stories spiced up.
The characters were a little too perfect for my liking. Sasha and Blake are both drop dead gorgeous and supremely successful in their chosen fields, and there was more emphasis on their charms, both physical and personality-wise than I like. Their dialogue seemed a little forced at times and there were moments where I just wasn't convinced by the plot. Maybe I'm being a little picky. Overall the story was quite enjoyable and if you're looking for something light and packed with glitz and glamour this will do the job nicely.
When I first read the book description of ‘The Billionaire Cattle Baron’, I knew this was a book I wanted to read. When I see A country boy meets a city girl written at the beginning of a book, I get fascinated. And sometimes I just really need a romance novel, and this one just sounded perfect.
In ‘The Billionaire Cattle Baron’ we meet Cowboy Blake Wellstone, and hardworking city girl Sasha Hepworth. Both are very hardworking, both are single and both are determined not to give their heart to anyone. But when they meet in the big city there is an instant connection they both can’t deny. Yes, sparks were flying out of the book!
Especially the beginning of this book I really loved. I loved how we got to know Blake and Sasha, and how kind both characters were. They were also really different, and they led very different lives. But it sure was fun to read about how these two characters got to know each other and how their romance started.
The romance between Blake and Sasha was really fun to read. They have a lot of chemistry and there were definitely some hot scenes between those two. I truly enjoyed reading about these two. But the romance also felt kind of rushed to be honest. This book isn’t very long, and I found the story going a little bit too fast. For two people who have been determined to not fall in love and give their hearts to another person, they sure do fall in love fast.
And another thing I missed in this book, I would have loved to read more about Blake’s and Sasha’s actual live. We read about how they meet, there romance etc. But not really about their job or their lives. And I definitely missed that.
But overall ‘The Billionaire Cattle Baron’ was a nice romantic read that is perfect for a summer night.
The Billionaire Cattle Baron, by Mandy Magro is a contemporary romance focused on opposites attract...when a cowboy meets a city girl.
As a wealthy cattle rancher in Australia, Blake Wellstone isn't interested in marrying again, especially since his marriage ended in tragedy. However, he never expected to meet Sasha Hepworth. Even though she's a true city girl, Sasha wants more from Blake beyond a temporary fling.
The Billionaire Cattle Baron is geared towards those who enjoy reading short contemporary romances.

I had a hard time connecting with the characters and did not finish the book.
I liked the idea of the book but I wasn't real sure about how the book was written. It was a bit over the top. It reminded me of the earlier romances I began reading in the late 80's but somewhat modernized. I found the phrases and the dialogue to be stiff and awkward. The sciences where there was intimacy kinda sparked here and there but didn't catch on because again the descriptive words and phrases were overdone or clunky. I'm a hundred percent positive though that legions of people will love the book. For me personally, it was a bit of a miss.
This fun summer romance was fast paced just like the city it was set in. I did enjoy the book but I found somethings just lined up too well and seemed a little unrealistic to me. Of course it is a book so not everything you read can be realistic. I felt like the first three quarters of the book helped develop the romance but the last quarter felt rushed and not at all like wrapping up the end of a book.
Great story, very well written I was captivated from start to finish. There is just something about this good old boy cowboy you just can't help but love, though this book was set in Australia other than a few phrases you'd never know it. Loved the dynamic between Blake and Sasha, there was a lot of give and take and push and pull between the two of them, it made the chemistry between them so much stronger. This was a great read, I couldn't put it down.
