Realize the value and blessings of participating in mentoring relationships during all stages, ages, and seasons of life.

Women often don’t think they know enough to be a mentor, or fear rejection if they ask someone to mentor them. Others don’t think they need mentoring. However, throughout the Bible, God calls spiritually younger and older women to learn from and teach one another. Mentoring for All Seasons helps answer questions like these:

What is mentoring? How do I find a mentor? Why does God want us to mentor one another? What are the blessings of mentoring?
Through true stories from mentors and mentees in life seasons from tween through death—along with the author’s personal experiences, helpful tips, Scriptures to study together, and biblical mentoring relationship examples—Mentoring for All Seasons encourages women to be intentional about sharing their life experiences and God’s faithfulness with other women.

Mentoring is an important part of living out what the Bible teaches. This is a wonderful book for women, for those who feel called to mentor and those younger women looking for mentors.

I loved that this book points out that more women should step up and take others under their wing so to speak, help them, mentor them and not let themselves be stopped with the thought that other could do it better. Women need other women. And we should all work on making sure that more women feel empowered enough to share their knowledge no matter the topic.
This book discusses that and other topics around it very nicely and it's defiantly worth a read,

Many women hesitate to mentor because they don't feel equipped. "What if they ask me a question I don't know the answer to?" "I'm sure there's information in the Bible on that topic, but I don't know where it is..." Author Janet Thompson has provided a practical, needed resource for all mentors in her book, Mentoring for All Seasons. Readers can search by topic (abortion, care-giving, divorce, empty nest, single parenting, illness, abuse, etc.) and find Biblical examples, tips, scripture, and questions to guide their discussion. Filled with stories from real-life mentors and mentees, Janet shares how women can walk through all the seasons of life with one another. This is a resource book every mentor and every women's ministry leader needs to add to her shelf!
