I found several recipes in this book that my family will and has enjoyed. The recipes had ingredients that most kitchens have and the directions were very easy to follow. Really nice cookbook
Disclaimer: I received an e-ARC of this book from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
An amazing resource which is not for the faint of heart. Some ingredients can be/are difficult to find and this is not for the newbie to the kitchen. Otherwise, lots of great recipes for the bold and adventurous.
The cover looks lovely, I will look for the hard copy of the book in the future.

Review:
In addition to offering over 150 delicious recipes, The One Peaceful World Cookbook explains macrobiotics in a clear and simple way that even made sense to me! There is also a comprehensive list of ingredients at the beginning. Although I've been following a vegan diet for 2 years, some of these were unfamiliar to me, so it was really helpful to find out what exactly kombu was, for example.
A lot of the recipes use some of the same ingredients, so it's good to know that your bottle/packet of x/y/z that you have sourced won't be used once and then go out of date lingering in the back of the cupboard/fridge.
Many of the recipes I think will become staples in my house as they are quick and cheap to make and based on grains with a few extras.
The recipes are explained clearly and concisely and the pictures are realistic.
Easy healthy and delicious vegetarian recipes to make on your own........
A lovely collection of simple yet diverse recipes. If you're looking to expand your world this would be a great cookbook to pick up and flip through. From savory to sweet your meals will be complete with a selection of recipes.
For anyone interested in a plant-based diet, this book additionally offers macrobiotic suggestions to go along with the vegan selections. Imaginative and mouthwatering ideas with a variety of fruits, veggies, pulses, etc. for a better lifestyle.
I've been a vegetarian for 34 years and thought that I was well versed in being a vegetarian. So wrong . This book and it's recipes opened a new world for me. My quest is to find some the ingredients. This book was published August 29th. I'm going g to order it. I don't think that I've ever bookmarked so many recipes.
I've been interesting in changing to a completely plant-based diet (I'm almost there), however other than the basics, I wasn't sure what else I should be thinking about, and this book helped, especially with the simple table of "Yin and Yang Factors in Food Selection and Preparation". There was no way I'd realize that qualities of chemical components, parts of the plants, cooking methods had a yin/yang to them that affects food. It was an interesting read, with very different recipes than I'm used to, and I'm not exactly sure if it's right for me, however, I can easily understand the benefits after reading One Peaceful World Cookbook. I believe this book may be more aligned with someone who's lifestyle has already incorporated vegan and macrobiotic cooking.
