I received a free copy of Strangers at Sunset in exchange for an honest review. Let me preface that I read Strangers to Lovers first (which was an amazing book), but something was "off" with Lisa. She found out she was widowed and her husband left behind a pregnant lover. After getting paternity test results for the baby, Lisa just kindly handed over half of her husband's estate to the baby, and later provided even more money to the baby's mom, Jill. Great gesture, but who does that?

That was my opinion going into Strangers at Sunset. The story was well thought out and very realistic, but felt rushed. Lisa decided to go on vacation to Florida recharge after losing her husband, and finding out her husband of many years was not the character she always thought he was.

Lisa arrives at a resort and meets Garrett (cliche, but still fun). The relationship between Garrett and Lisa happened very quickly with a vacation fling. Within days, the esteemed bachelor invited Lisa to stay with his parents, and then he abandoned her a few days later, because he didn't want to deal with his feelings. Garrett lost a whole lot o points on that "dick" move.

After abandoning Lisa, she ended up getting a job and moving to Florida to get a fresh start after loosing her husband and Garrett, Meanwhile, Garrett rethought his feelings, and he found himself on Lisa's porch, and that was all she wrote.

This was an average read, but I still like Tiffani Lynn's writing style and plots, and will continue to seek out her new novels.

Great book, with the perfect balance of steamy and ordinary life. This novel was believable and realistic enough to be thoroughly enjoyed. Two thumbs up.

I loved it! It's been a while since I got enthusiastic and hooked in reading a novel without letting it go until I reached its end. Amazing writing! Fast-paced, not dwelling without reasons to unimportant details, but being descriptive enough so that reader can create the scenes on his/her own.

I definitely recommend it. You will have a relaxing pleasant afternoon travelling in an imaginary way to summer, beaches, sun and sea and all this will put a smile in you!

Enjoy it!!!

The book has a nice storyline and characterization was great.

The author could create a more diverse or intriguing plot. The plot seemed a bit tedious for the storyline and I feel the author could do more in future. I did not feel moved by the characters

The choices we make do not effect anyone but myself. Just tell that to someone, and most people will acknowledge that falsehood. Widowed so young, Lisa is grieving her loss but as truths come to light, she finds more reasons to grieve her marriage. Going on a spur of the moment vacation, Lisa discovers the beauty and peace of this beach resort in Florida. Here she meets Garrett, a professional photographer. They both hit it off and end up spending much more time together than either had planned on. For the most part, they are honest to each other but the more they see of each other, the more their feelings grow. But Garrett never promised Lisa forever, and the cold reality hits her hard. After months apart, Garrett is miserable and, after his brother’s push, he tries to get back with Lisa. This story shows the pain of poor choices as well as the joy of finding the right path.

Lisa's husband dies, and she finds out that he was a cheater who left another woman pregnant. She decides to take a vacation to Florida. She meets Garrett and spends several nights with him. He gets scared and dumps her at his parent's house. She finds out that she's pregnant, and she needs to tell him. Does she tell him? Will he come back to her?
I really liked this steamy romantic read. It was sweet, and it had some of the challenges that happens after a woman loses her husband. I love how Lisa tried to make the best of her situation. A great beach read for the summer! I received an advanced reader's copy in exchange for my honest review.

Lady with a lot of problems has a one-night stand with a photographer while on vacation in Florida, only to have it turn into much more, of course.
The book starts with an intense description of her husband dying, then goes to a year later, but considering how often he’s mentioned—for good reason—that opener hardly felt necessary.
As a photographer, I enjoyed some of the stuff here, though I had to laugh at, “How many people get to travel the world and make a ton of money just by snapping pictures?” Cough cough: a TON of money? If I didn’t know it was fiction before. . .
On the other side of it is: “That’s so much more compelling to the average person than bikinis, tans and fake boobs. Although that’s all nice to look at, it’s been done over and over again. I like my work to stand out. Fresh and original is the hope I have for each project. The fact that I don’t go with the expected.” Is this writer in my brain? Spooky.
Okay, back to the story. There’s a huge twist—not gonna spoiler it, but you can guess it easily—that wasn’t much of a surprise at all. More than anything, I am completely shocked she forgave him that easily. What he did was so incredibly cowardly. The most interesting part is how the parents of both her ex and him react basically the same way: “I thought I raised him better.”
3.5 pushed up to 4/5

This was a very touching story. Lisa was a strong character that even through heartache and betrayal stood stronger than most would. The sex scenes were very HOT HOT HOT

Strangers at Sunset is a sexy, emotional story of one woman's journey from becoming a widow to finding new love and starting over.

Lisa has had a pretty bad year. Her husband died and she found out he left behind more than just an estate. So, now she's off for a vacation to Florida, and a job interview. She needs to get away from her family and their hovering, and just be by herself and have some fun. So when she meets a hot photographer, she has no problems indulging in a sexy little vacation fling with him. She doesn't expect the unintended consequences that come about from the fling, though.

Garrett is a one and done kind of guy, so he has no problem sexing up the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. He does have a problem with the fact that he still can't get her out of his mind (or his heart) months after he up and left her at his parents' house without saying goodbye. When Lisa runs into Garrett's brother months after their little fling, Tommy decides he and his family intend to keep Lisa in their lives, regardless of how stupid his brother is being. Thank God for Tommy because that man is the only reason they might have a second chance to get things right!

Strangers at Sunset turned out to have much more depth than I had expected. Lisa is a strong, independent, amazingly forgiving woman. She forgave her husband for being a less than ideal husband, even though she'd have to see evidence of his douchiness for the rest of her life. She forgave Garrett for being a spineless idiot and leaving her without saying goodbye. She's amazing! I know I wouldn't have been nearly as compassionate and forgiving as she was if I were in her position. She's the true star of Strangers at Sunset. Everyone else is just icing on the cake as far as I'm concerned. Garrett I could take or leave. He didn't display much strength or spine, and if it hadn't been for Tommy, he probably never would have seen Lisa again. But, if Lisa could forgive him, I guess I can too.

I'm excited to know that there is a sequel to Strangers at Sunset because Tiffani Lynn has made me into a true fan.
