Raw Heat is the 3rd book in the Larson Brothers series. I have read the first two books and loved them. If the first two books brought the emotions, this one brings all the sexy times. The storyline was fantastic. I really enjoyed it.

Damien Larson has always kept everyone at a distance. If they don’t get too close, they can’t hurt you. He is a master poker player with the reputation of a shark. Owning a nightclub and an illegal poker room is hard business. Emma Haskell has lived a safe life. She does everything for everyone else. Including her messed up brother. To bail him out of his debt to Damien, she agrees to put herself on the line for a month if her brother loses. She would be Damien’s for a month.

Great writing. Awesome mix of story and sex. Dirty and steamy but also has great dialogue.

This book was so interesting and, from the beginning, you are drawn into the romance between Damien and Emma.

Emma is an employee at Damien's nightclub and, while she finds him attractive (and sees him as the stuff of her fantasies) she has never acted on the attraction, or pursued it.

Damien is also attracted to Emma, and for less noble and more "I don't want to ruin her" motivations, isn't pursuing her.

And then, her brother shows up in the illegal casino upstairs and, to pay off his debt, she agrees to become Damien's for 30 days.

You aren't supposed to like Damian, but you do. You aren't supposed to find him sexy, or compelling, or find anything about him to like, But you do, and so does Damien...which becomes a problem.

This is definitely a darker book, but I enjoy those so this one was definitely a hit with me, as the dark in this book felt really forbidden, in a way that the forbidden really works and really feels taboo. The idea that there is an attraction to the person who bought you, and that this person is appealing on any level is a fascinating story arc to explore and made this book well worth reading.

I recommend this title.

I would give this book 3.75-4 stars!!

I really like Cherrie's writing & look forward to reading anything she writes. This book was good, the storyline was a little cliche, but I liked the characters so I could deal with that aspect. This was a great series, I really enjoyed reading about the Larson brothers!!

Outstanding book. The best of the three and that's saying something because the other two were brilliant. This cannot and I repeat CANNOT be the end to this series! Please Cherrie Lynn we need some sort of encore or another long lost Larson brother pop up from somewhere. What about one of their estranged fathers? I adored Damien, completely and utterly could've eaten him up myself. He was m favourite Larson brother of the 3.
What I really loved about this book was that it was comical which was very refreshing. The heroine Emma was an absolute blast. She had spunk, she had wit and she was downright funny. Her inner thoughts in the beginning had me laughing out loud so hard and that's something I've not done in ages with a book.
If I could've rated this book more than 5 I would've.
Like I said the only part I hated was that it was the last book in the series. Perhaps we can have some Larson babies? I NEED MORE ....PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

I have read all of the books in this series (though it is not necessary as they are standalones), but this was my favorite of the three. The characters in this story were very interesting as they both showed one version of themselves to the world, but brought out other qualities just for each other. Emma seemed like a quiet, goal-oriented good girl, but with Damien she shows how strong, bold, and adventurous she truly is. Damien shows the world a cold, controlled version of himself. With Emma, he is sweet and caring. They don't change each other, just bring out deeper parts of their personalities.
I enjoyed the fact that this book focused almost entirely on the couple, with not too much drama from secondary characters. There was conflict from outside the couple that affected them, but it was not drawn out. Damien's brothers and their girlfriends from the first 2 books did make appearances, but they were brief and did not require readers to know their background.
Overall, I truly enjoyed this book. It left me wishing the Larsons had more brothers!

Unfortunately this was my least favorite read by Cherrie Lynn so far. I have read most of her books and all three of Larson brothers. I loved "Raw deal" but his one was just blah! I didn't like Damien at all, he was so cold and at times I couldn't stand him. The author tried to make him more human in his point of view chapters but it didn't work for me. Emma was another story all together. She was so over the place and weak that I wanted to shake her a few times. You can tell by all this that I got really frustrated by this book, enough said. Cherrie Lynn you can do better!

4.25-4.5 STARS

With this third installment to author Cherrie Lynn’s Larson Brother’s series, dare I say, she left the very best for last. In “Raw Heat,” the focus now shifts to Damien—the youngest and most darkly intense of the three Larson brothers—as he sets his sites on his beautiful yet naïve accountant, Emma Haskell. Taking advantage of her weakness that is her gambling addicted brother, Damien offers Emma a deal with the devil himself. But if Damien is the devil, then Emma is more than happy to spend her days—AND NIGHTS—living within the fiery pits of hell.

Emma Haskell would have to be blind not to notice Damien Larson for the sex god that he is. For years, her boss has held the starring role in Emma’s most scandalous fantasies. But as his club’s accountant, she is careful to keep her lustful thoughts at bay. Then Emma’s brother gets in deep with Damien, accumulating a massive gambling debt he can’t afford to repay. And all Emma has to do is spend a month in Damien’s bed for her brother’s debt to go away.

Damien Larson has had eyes for his beautiful accountant right from the very start. But Emma isn’t the type of girl you toy with, so he made himself a vow to keep his lascivious thoughts in check. That is, up until Emma begs for his help in forgiving her brother’s debt. Suddenly, Damien is more than eager to teach Emma a life lesson—one that will simultaneously land her in his bed. But it soon becomes apparent that it’s Emma who holds all the cards, as Damien fears he might not ever want to let her go.

Picking up on Emma’s submissive clues, the dominant side of Damien enjoys introducing his innocent prey to a side of her sexuality that she has yet to fully explore. And Emma is more than willing to let Damien draw her further into the darker depths of sex. But with each passing day, Emma finds herself falling for this emotionally stunted man, wishing for possibilities she fears might never come to pass. .

Delightfully twisted and sinfully sexy, Damien and Emma’s story offers up a daring premise for those of us who like to take a ride on the wild side. Yet despite the explicit nature of this story, “Raw Heat” is also a well-written, emotionally endearing romance with main characters you’re sure to fall in love with. And with cameo appearances by characters from the first two books sprinkled throughout, “Raw Heat” is a guaranteed winner all around.

I love this series SO HARD. Cherrie Lynn delivers three very different stories in this series about three brothers who may have come from the same broken place, but who each chose varying paths that eventually lead them to unexpected romance. Mike, an MMA fighter, Zane, a famous rock star, and now Damien, a night club owner and poker shark, have all completely owned me with their respective storylines, storylines that are SO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. Each book, each character, each storyline is nothing like the last and this book in particular, Raw Heat might just be the most unexpected of them all.

The circumstances that bring Damien and Emma together are crazy and intense. This book is one big game where the stakes get higher and higher with each turn of the page, where the rules keep changing and the lines get blurred. It's an emotional roller coaster, an angsty dynamic of two people trying not to lose themselves, trying not to give too much away as they get tangled up in this temporary arrangement of sin and skin and sex.

This is absolutely the hottest book in this series. It's steamy and sensual and explosively passionate from beginning to end. Damien is a guy that will never allow himself to emotionally connect. He's detached and cold and he's honest about it. Emma is an open book. She's vulnerable but strong, sensitive but devoted. Together, they are explosive. In the bedroom, they take fiery passion to another level. It's an addiction, my need to see him brought to his knees, and the course of events as they evolve through this book make for an exquisitely painstaking experience, an unbelievably erotic journey where emotions get tangled and lines are crossed.

I enjoyed this book so much... to be fair, Zane's book is still my favorite... but I loved Raw Heat in a very different way. Each book in this series is beautifully perfect for that particular Larson brother and this book is no exception, staying true to Damien in a way that's both brutally beautiful and emotionally honest. Damien is a player, a king at the top of the game, and this story is everything you'd ever want in a story about a guy like him. Damien is a guy so closed off, a guy so deliciously dominant in the bedroom, a guy that wins at every game, no matter the stakes. Is there anything more delicious than watching a man who won't cower eventually forced to admit he's falling? The need to see him FEEL drives this book and I enjoyed every page. I wanted more. I love these brothers, I can't get enough. The drama and intensity between Emma and Damien is a delicious addition to this MUST READ series. So addictive, so unbelievably hot, Raw Heat is the most gritty, most explosive, most emotionally intense book in this series and I enjoyed every second.

This was my favorite book out of the series so far! I loved Damien and Emma. Damien had such a sweet side to him and when he showed his love for Emma, it was EVERYTHING!

Cherrie Lynn is an extremely talented writer and I can't wait to read more from her.

Raw Heat by Cherrie Lynn is the 3rd instalment in the Larson Brothers series. Damien is the youngest brother and is a successful nightclub owner with an illegal poker room upstairs. He is the darkest and most mysterious of the brothers.

Emma, Damien's accountant, seeks out Damien regarding business and catches her addict brother Ben gambling at Damien's game. Ben racks up such a debt that he's willing to barter his own sister's virtue in exchange for clearing the debt at Damien's request. Emma has always been drawn to Damien's deep intensity so she's not overly upset about being his for the next 30 days, she only feels betrayed by her brother and torn that she wants to help him but in an unethical way. Raw Heat is Damien and Emma's sizzling story.

I have loved each one of Cherrie Lynn's books and was not disappointed with Raw Heat. I read this novel in one sitting. "Heat" is the key word here; not for the faint of heart! It can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the whole series. I rate this novel 5 out of 5 stars.

Raw Heat
Larson Brothers #3
Cherrie Lynn
4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great book!! I really liked the plot and the characters in this story. It was very intriguing and kept me entertained. Damien and Emma's relationship was pretty awesome to read about. I really wished I had read the first 2 books in this series because their stories sounded super interesting also.
Thanks NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

So this was my first time reading Cherrie Lynn and I love this book and her writing style! I didn't realize it when I started that this is part of a book series but I do plan on obtaining the two previous books. I loved the interaction and chemistry between Emma and Damien, he's all dark and mysterious, but hella sexy and intense at the same time. Emma finds herself in a precarious predicament when it comes to her brother's gambling habits, but with an offer on the table to eradicate said debts, what else can Emma do? Of course since it's Damien, I sure wouldn't turn down such an offer!

I am a big fan of Cherrie Lynn and gobbled up the first two novels in her Larson Brothers series, where we followed first Mike and then Zane as they found their unlikely HEAs. We knew Damien was next.

Damien, the youngest brother, appeared in the earlier novels to be almost omniscient. I enjoyed him as the mysterious brother who though shut-down emotionally, nevertheless knew what Mike and Zane needed and found a way to help.

If that’s what you thought, prepare yourself.

Nightclub owner Damien runs an illegal gambling sideline that has ensnared his lovely accountant Emma’s brother. He makes her a deal, and I’ll bet you know what that is. Yes, if she gives him a month where he can do anything (and he means anything) to her, the debt is paid.

Here is where it goes off the rails for me. Damien is revealed to be so controlling and contrary that I don’t know what Emma finds appealing. To be fair she is revealed to be a doormat. His plan is to “take what he needs and walk away,” which she believes will allow her to keep her heart intact, because she’s already crushing on him.

So as he introduces her to his fabulous world of wealth and power, she flips constantly from “I hate myself--no wait--I hate Damien” to “I love you, please love me back.”

As for the bedroom (and bathroom, and airplane, and elevator) scenes, these will not be for everyone. Let’s just say he enjoys control and she can’t, literally cannot, resist him. He wins in the bedroom, he wins every argument, he wins every decision. Winning! I got tired of it.

As a side note, I am not well versed in D/s and this is probably pretty mild stuff. I did think that such kinkery was supposed to reveal the submissive’s ultimate power over the dom. I don’t see that here and better-informed readers can correct me. But her neediness—sexually, emotionally-- is annoying. She comes off as his toy. He even calls her “doll.” (And once she even refers to herself as “ragdoll.”) They agree their moral codes don’t align and even that’s not enough to dissuade her.

I just don’t see her as his equal in any way. That’s from the writer’s word choice as much as the plot. She “whimpers.” She “pouts.” She’s described as a petulant child and once even says “This is so nice, like being a child again.”

In my mind this book is a departure for Cherrie Lynn and no doubt she will reach new fans. I don’t begrudge her that. I’m just glad it’s the third of the series and not the first book or I doubt I would have continued reading. That being said, as a longtime fan, I still look forward to her next book.

ARC received for an honest review.

I have not read the other two books in this series, but oh man, I love the Larson brothers so much!!!! This book was intriguing, full of unexpected love, steamy and family drama filled. I absolutely adored this book from start to finish and all the characters were written phenomenally well.

Emma is hardworking accountant. She's all about her business, making her money and walking the path of a good person. She doesn't really know she has a dark side until a bet goes wrong and she ends up in the hands of her boss. I absolutely loved Emma. She was feisty, spoke her mind and didn't take mess from anyone.

Damien is the Alpha male all women love. He's daring, sweet and yet still such a mystery. He owns a nightclub which successful and runs a side job within his business. I loved him! He may have been a bit of a brute every now and then, but considering his past I could totally understand it. Damien was everything and more.

The romance was pure beauty. Though typical in a sense of boss-employee relationships, the way they got together and declared their love for one another was insane. I loved them together. Emma was able to enjoy her dark side more in the sexual realm and Damien was able to truly bare his soul. They definitely complimented one another. I loved the sex scenes because Damien knew how to take charge and Emma was aware of her sexual being. Perfect couple.

The Larson brothers and their women were freaking awesome. I absolutely could not stand Benjamin (Emma's brother). He was a douche through and through. I felt so bad for Emma and wish she would have let Damien at least sock him in the eye twice.

Overall this was well written and amazing. Definitely recommend!

"A genuine laugh from him was like angels singing."

I had a love/hate relationship with this book. I loved it, but I hated that it was the last one in the series. I didn't want it to end. I fell so hard for all three brothers, but I must say that Damien is my favorite. And that's saying a lot since I really really love rockstars. I have a weakness for broken bad boys and though they are all damaged to some degree, Damien is the most closed off. He's got a dark side, and I wanted to go there.

Emma is a good girl for the most part. She is kind of a nerdy accountant who dresses mousy, wears glasses when she's working, and is reserved. She's not blind to the fact that her boss runs an illegal gambling room upstairs. While she doesn't approve, she minds her business. She doesn't make waves. She works hard and collects her very generous paycheck that allows her to help her family. Oh, did I forget to mention that she drools over her extremely sexy boss and becomes tongue tied in his presence? No? Sorry, my bad. Yup, he's all dark from his clothing to his poker face. He doesn't let any emotion show and you never know what he's thinking. But he's good to her. She loves her job and hopes to stay there. So she avoids him as much as possible.

When she finds something in the books that needs his attention, she forces herself to seek him out. Unfortunately, she also finds her brother upstairs in the gambling room. You know, the brother that swears he gave up gambling? Yeah, that one.

Damien noticed Emma right away. He was attracted to her. But he chose not to pursue her. It's hard to find good employees that are trustworthy. It wasn't until she got mad at her brother that he saw a different side to her. The side that goes with her red hair. When she asks him to forgive her brother's debt, he refuses. Instead, he makes her an offer that she can't refuse. But she wants to... or does she?

Holy Hotness Batman! It's more than Raw Heat, it passed that stage and moved right into explosive. Who knew that timid little mousy accountant had what it takes to match the dark devil? I almost scorched my fingers turning the pages on my Kindle. Their deal is only for 30 days. After the first week, I was expecting a visit from the fire department. By the second week, I was asking myself how the hell either of them thought they could possibly walk away from each other a few weeks later. By the third week, I was ready to lock them in a room and force them to admit they had feelings for each other. Of course I planned to lock myself in there with them. Yes, I'm a voyeur. I'm not ashamed to admit it.

I was excited that Emma got to meet the women of the other Larson brothers. Of course they all got along. Damien's older brothers have been worried about him for years. He's so withdrawn and refuses to talk about himself or to open up to others. They have found happiness with their soulmates and they want the same for him. He just keeps saying that he doesn't plan to ever get married or have kids. They hope that Emma might be the one to change his mind. But he's put a time limit on their involvement and plans to keep to it.

Yeah, as you probably guessed, I was constantly wishing and waiting for the big man to fall. I was totally invested in their journey and offered lots of unsolicited advice, which they ignored. But I wasn't alone. Emma's bestie, Liz, got dubbed the 'inappropriate cheerleader'. I kinda had a girl crush on her and would love to see her show up in one of the author's future books. I'm a fan, so whatever she decides to write next. The line forms here...

Raw Heat brings us the youngest of the Larson brothers, Damien and his accountant Emma. This story takes us away from the MMA and into the seedier side of the nightclub scene. I enjoyed this story, the romance was hot and the character dynamics well played out. I will be recommending this book and series to other readers of this genre

So sad that this trilogy is over - I really enjoyed all the Larson brothers... Although I have to say I perhaps enjoyed Damian's book the most as he was the one we knew the least about after reading the other 2 books!

This book was smokin' hot!! Love the chemistry between him and Emma. There's just something about the chemistry between someone who is so dark and delicious and someone innocent and sweet... when he corrupts her there is nothing better!

I only wished there had been a bit more detail about their HEA in the epilogue...

Highly recommend you read them all but really should be read in order to get the whole picture. Can be read as a standalone though if you don't care about the relationships that are established as the books unfold.

I reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book via NetGalley and voluntarily left a review.

I am not sure if I should have read the other 2 books in this series before I read this one, but I am thinking it could have helped me out a little. I did not really gambling part. I thought it was more MMA. But that must have been the other books. I will have to give those a try.

A spectacular end to a series. I'm saddened it's the last book. The first two Larson books were sensational but this one was unreal. I really loved Damien. I've never been into a DOM character but he took the cake. I also adored Emma. She was quite funny. It's not often that you laugh out loud during a book. There were quite a few of these moments. I love that in a book. Cherrie Lynn I adore you. You've really written an amazing series here. I was very sad when I read the final word. This book delved deeper into the Larson brothers past and that is what I loved. Perfectly written and I never skimmed NOT one page! I'm hoping maybe ...just maybe there may be a fourth book. Perhaps one of the Larson brothers long lost father (s) renters their life. I can't have this series end here. Encore please...ENCORE!
