Jack and Jill, for real. This is one of my favorite type of story. I love friends to lovers or siblings' friends to lovers and this humor filled book packed the right punch for me. There is sadness and there is depth to the story and such a new twist on the shifter plot as well as a twist on the MC plot. Strong, well loved characters and well written well paced story. Truly a joy to read.

I just wanted to groan whenever the MCs were mentioned. Their names were Jack and Jill. Seriously? And Jill was very annoying, what with not listening and all. I'm not sure if I'll read another book by this author.

Jack welcomed Jill into Custom Cruiser Bikes. Jack didn’t recognize her until she said who she was then he said Brian’s baby sister. Jill’s maturity level dropped about two decades whenever she was around Jack who she had known most of her life and had a crush on him nearly as long. Brian was now Jack’s ex best friend. Brian and Jack hadn’t spoken in several years since Jack betrayed Brian and broke his promise. Jill’s goal was to buy a motorcycle- Jill loved motorcycles ad had been riding for a long time- and rescue her sister- in- law Carrie. Jill didn’t need a bike but she had always wanted one and rescuing Carrie from the clutches of a misogynistic biker gang seemed reason enough. In Jill’s mind motorcycles and Jack went hand and hand. Four years ago Jill had kissed Jack and he had walked away from that kiss and vanished. Carrie had been hanging around with a motorcycle club and one biker in particular and Brian didn’t know why he couldn’t get a hold of his wife in the last couple of weeks. If Jill has her way Brian never will know about Carrie and the biker. But Brian was coming home from the Navy deployment soon and with Carrie not taking Brian’s calls she worried Carrie’s friendship had turned into something more. Jill had to talk some sense into Carrie. Before Brian came home. But Jack didn’t need to know any of that. Then Jill ended up telling Jack as he knew her well enough to know she just didn’t want any of that. Then Jill ended up telling Jack Carrie was hanging out with the Hellhounds. Jack told Jill to stay away from them. Jack loved his bike shop, it was the only thing that made him feel human. Jack told Jill the Hellhounds aren’t playing at anything except maybe being human. He also said they were dangerous and he knew because he used to be one of them. Jack and Brian had known a couple of the members from HS- Donny and Pete. These guys were killers. You can’t mess around with them. Jack said he did ride with them nut it wasn’t by choice it just happened. Jack also told Jill they were the reason he broke his promise and didn’t show up to join the Navy with Brian on the buddy system. Jack hated seeing Jill hurting and knowing he couldn’t make it right. Jack said he forgot about their kiss when he met Mic but it was because Mic tried to kill him. But when Jack woke up from the attack the kiss is the first thing he thought of and he realized he could never go back to the way things were even hours before. Jack then said he would help as he knew she was going to go after Carrie anyway. Donny had a birthday so Jack and Jill headed out to the Copper Kettle bar. Carrie was there but wouldn’t leave she said she loved Brian but only felt sad when she thought about leaving Mic.Mic was very spiritual according to Carrie. Then Jack said they had to leave and couldn’t get Carrie out yet. But Jack hadn’t told Jill the Hellhounds were actual werewolves. Jack wanted to kiss Jill when he took her home but he couldn’t until he figured out how the virus or curse however it was passed from one victim to the next. Carrie hadn’t been bitten yet but she refused to leave Mic to come to talk to Jill so she was already under Mic’s thrall. Donny told Jack he figured Mic planned on biting her at the R & R . Donny also said how Mic was paranoid about Jack and knew he was a threat. Jack was the first alpha Mic had made Seiin Jill again and being with her Jack couldn’t remember when he’d felt so normal, so like himself. Like he had finally come home after that dark long ago night. It felt like forever since Jack felt so at ease. Jill was home to Jack, a living breathing balm to his soul. Then Jill and Jack kissed. Jack felt Jill was his and had always been his. The silky fur of Jack’s wolf rolled under his skin, covering itself in Jill’s sent. His need was within Jack filling his veins and muscles. Never before had the wolf interfered or showed influence in Jack’s human life or world. But this was different. The wolf wanted Jill and he’d accept nothing less. Then Jack and Jill had mind blowing sex. Jack knew Jill was his and he was Jill’s. Then one night Jill was bit by Moose at Mic’s order. Jack was with Jill during the change to a werewolf. Jack told Jill he loved her he didn’t mean to it had just slipped out.
I absolutely loved this story and didn’t want to put it down. A unique take on bikers and werewolves. I loved the old lady who was just down the street from Jill’s childhood home. She was the one who started the werewolf thing with Murray with a curse. But the witch was very sweet most of the time and definitely adds to this book. I loved Jack’s character and felt bad for all he went through. I love Jack and Jill together. I loved the plot and the pace. I didn’t want to put this down. It was a fairly quick read and maybe because I didn’t put the book down too many times. It had the right amount of drama and action. It was an all around great read with a witch, fairies, werewolves and so much more. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend.

The editing and formatting on this book really drew away from the story. I found myself focusing more on the grammatical and spelling errors than the actual story. This made for a difficult read. 2/5 stars

What I Liked:
Not a whole lot. The best I can say is that the book got marginally better in the last third.

Warning:
I hate being overly negative and I wanted to keep the blog free of the negativity, and reviewing a book I rate under three stars naturally brings it out, but I'm realising that may not always be possible to keep my feelings to myself.
Werebiker is a perfect example of when I just can't keep a lid on it.
This book flipped my bitch switch and turned the snark meter up to 1000.

What I Didn't Like:
Jack and Jill.
No joke, the characters are called Jack and Jill. Every time I saw it the nursery rhyme started running though my head but this is a very minor complaint all things considered.

Jill.
She was annoying as hell. She never listened, thought she was a hard-ass, that she was the shizzle, but she was in actual fact none of the aforementioned. Jill was an immature little idiot who should have been eaten. (And not in a good way!)

Jack.
Oh noes, I don't want to be an alpha. Oh noes, I can't be with Jill, I may infect her. Oooooh, me horny and Jill kiss me. Me will screw Jill - in one of the most awkward depictions of sex I've ever read, fyi - and forget about infecting Jill. Oh noes... I've had sex with Jill but I still can't be with Jill cause she might get hurt. It's all so dangerous... But y'know, I'll screw her again cause my beast demands it.
Seriously?!
God, even the word 'moist' came out to play... It hurt my soul!

The writing.
I hate to say it but the author's 'voice' just grated on me. The story was all over the flippin' place, the characters were inconsistent, the dialogue felt forced and the story was written without flare... It was like the reading equivalent of listening to someone talk for a few hours in a gratingly monotone voice.

Typos.
Typos everywhere.
I'm hoping that this was because I had an arc/review copy and these were corrected before the release of the book.

Other Thoughts:
I requested this book as I thought that blending an MC with a paranormal could work really well but this was not a good example of genre fusion.
The only reason I didn't abandon this book at 20% was because I was granted a review copy and felt obligated to see it though to the end... Werebiker was my first Paige Cuccaro novel and unfortunately, I think, based on this, it'll be my last.

Cover Love:
I like the cover for this one, it's what drew me to the book; A nice blend of biker, shifter and sexy.

Years after she thought she left town for good, Jillian is back and has enlisted the help of her older brother’s ex-best friend (and the man who broke her heart), Jack, to track down her sister-in-law, who’s fallen in with a rival biker gang—but Jack knows they’re werewolves, and that he has to protect Jillian at any cost, even if she hates him.

Review:

Werewolves and bikers are rolled into one story.

This was a different take by combining the two, that I cannot remember reading another one like it before. I am not sure how to write this without giving away some spoilers, so stop if you don’t want to know things.

Besides the wolves and bikers there is a few other supernatural creatures and service men. As for the werewolves I liked that it was started with a curse and then spread from there. I liked the baddie’s ultimate goal is to take over the world from humans, though I think he should have been a little more over the top. I really liked Jack, his reasons from shutting himself off and how he finally gets over it are the best parts of the story for me. Jillian falls a little flat for me. Overall I liked the story, I just thought it could have been so much more.

This book is the beginning of another werewolf book series following some expect ground "wolf" rules but adding a bit of its own. The book has a nice pace of narrating the events and the reader cannot be easily bored. Wondering how the story will evolve, as it seems to wrap pretty much everything in the first book.

After enjoying Marriage Claws so much I was pumped for Werebiker! Jillian left town after an amazing kiss with her brothers best friend, but not before the best friend abandoned her and her brother. Jake as a different side of the story of how things went down and why he HAD to leave them, but Jill is not interested in hearing anything he has to say. All Jill wants to do is get a bike, go finder her sister in law at the local biker hang out and forget she ever ran into Jack. But, fate has other plans for the two. It started out okay, I mean, Jack and Jill, comeone. But I did find the characters and the writing a bit juvenile for the age they were portraying, Jack referred to her as 'Jilly', and I get that it was childhood nickname, but again, comeon! I couldn't read the name and NOT think of a 7 year old. After a while, it progressed into more and more and not in the direction I was hoping. I thought that the take on the werewolf/shifter story line was interesting and unique, but sadly this story didn't live up to my expectations.

Jill is shopping for a motorcycle when she runs into Jack, her brothers ex-best friend. He refuses to sell her a bike when she tells him what she wants it for. Her brother is coming home from his military service and his wife is MIA. Jill has found out that she’s been hanging around an MC called the Hellhounds. When Jack finds out he’s determined to keep her away from the Hellhounds but Jill is too determined to let it go.

Jack knows that the Hellhounds are bad because he once was one. The night before he was set to take off to basic training with his best friend, Jill’s brother, he was attacked and turned into a werewolf. The guys in the Hellhounds have a way of mesmerizing women so that they never want to leave their side. This is what has happened to Jill’s sister-in-law, Carrie. Despite Jack’s warnings Jill makes bad decision after bad decision going after Carrie but there’s only one way to get her back to her brother’s side and that’s to find the cure for the “virus” that has infected the Hellhounds.

This story had an interesting blurb and premise so I thought I’d give it a try. Unfortunately there was a lot about it that just didn’t work for me. First, Jack and Jill’s antagonism toward each other - it just didn’t feel authentic. Yes, they had every reason to be mad at each other but it felt forced. Jack also did everything in his power to keep Jill away from the Hellhounds and she was so freaking stubborn she put herself into trouble more than once and had to be saved. It annoyed me that she was being so stupid!

When it came to the romance – it fell flat for me. Jack and Jill (don’t even get me started on the names!) had kissed at one point but Jack had walked away. Jill’s feelings were hurt but she’d never given up hope that they could one day be together. Jack wants to stay away from her because of what he is but can’t seem to do it. The romance ended up feeling rushed, especially at the end, and I just wasn’t feeling it.

Overall the story is mildly entertaining, but I can’t say that I recommend this book.

Jack and Brian are best friends with big plans of joining the navy together. Jillian is Brian's baby sister that followed the two boys around like a little puppy from an early age. The night before the young men are due to report for basic training, Jack is turned into a werewolf against his will. Brian assumes Jack had cold feet when he didn't show up for basic training. Four years pass and the friends are thrown together again when Brian's wife isn't responding to his calls and Jillian can't locate her either. Jillian begs Jack to help her find Brian's wife and rescue her from the local werewolf pack lead by the alpha who turned Jack.
This is a very well written shifter story of friendships broken, love found, courage and righting wrongs. It is captivating right to the very end. A great read all round.

When I read the blurb to Werebiker I knew it was something that I had to read. This novel was fun and sexy and a refreshing change from the usual paranormal romance.

Everyone who knows me knows that second chance/brother's best friend romances are my jam. We have that trope here in Werebiker when Jillian comes back into town to enlist the help of her older brother’s ex-best friend (and the man who broke her heart), Jack, to track down her sister-in-law, who’s fallen in with a rival biker gang. What follows is a unique and fun spin on werewolves and a novel filled with action as they try to save her sister-in-law

While I enjoyed Werebiker, I felt that it was somewhat disjointed and rushed at some parts. It also seemed as if Jack didn't really want to rekindle anything with Jill other than sex. It was a little off putting. All in all, I am glad I read this. Bravo 3 stars! ~Ratula

I would like to thank Netgalley and SMP publishing for an advanced copy of this novel for an honest review.

2.5 Stars Werebiker was a bit of a hit and miss for me at times it was interesting but often seemed to fall flat. I will read more by this author but this one didn’t quite hit the mark.

I received a copy of this e-book and am voluntarily leaving an honest opinion.

Jillian has come back to town after her brother, who is deployed overseas but coming home in a few weeks, asks her to find out why his wife is not returning his calls. Jillian goes to Jack, her brothers ex-best friend and one she has always cared for, for help. Seems like her sister-in-law has fallen in with some bikers. Jillian has no problem approaching them but when Jack finds this out he is adamant about her not going anywhere around them.

Why? Because they are all werewolves....and Jack knows from firsthand experience.

This book was ok. Some parts were really interesting but more wasn't.

I did like that the falling out between Jack and Brian, Jillian's brother, was worked through and of course Jillian's and Jack's feelings.

I quit enjoyed this book, it was basically a typical werewolf story. But I really enjoyed Jilly and Jack. I really rooted for them and I always love actual stories where the werewolves shift and are more realistic then the horror movies. I felt the love and pain both Jilly and Jack went through and I was very happy with how the story progressed and the route it took. I would definitely read other books by this author

I doubt you've ever read a werewolf romance quite like this book! It offers a fun new take on the werewolf romance genre, adding in a curse, a witch who bakes pies for the local kids, and a werewolf biker gang who is hoping to rope in a few women to add to their mix. While there is some sadness and scary moments, there is also a lot of humor and engaging conversations that made me laugh in the middle of all the madness. A great read for someone who's looking for something new and different!

Jack Crown is a lone wolf. Literally. Breaking from the Pack years ago, he maintains a distance from those who would have him be their Alpha. But when Jillian Perkins, his ex-best friend's little sister, walks into his motorcycle shop, that plan slowly begins to unravel. Jillian hasn't seen Jack in four years, ever since he let her brother join the military alone instead of meeting him for basic training as planned. Angry about his betrayal but still utterly attracted to his good looks, she soon reveals to him that she needs a motorcycle to save her brother's wife from the local motorcycle gang. Little does she know that they're not just burly men with egos - they're werewolves. And her sister-in law is in thrall to their leader, a connection that won't be easy to break. Jack and Jillian must now reluctantly join forces to keep her brother from losing the love of his life, and along the way, they may just lose their hearts.

Jack and Jillian (yes, they go by Jack and Jill) are a cute couple, albeit one with lots of issues. I had some issues with Jack from the beginning, since he seemed to just want to use Jill to scratch an itch for sex, even though he knew it could never work. But eventually things changed, and his protective instincts kicked into gear enough to allow a deeper connection between the two of them. My favorite parts of the book were probably when he and his friends were their wolf selves. It was cute how they were actually more like giant dogs than anything, and I especially thought it was hilarious that Jillian's father took Jack in as a "stray." Oh, the laughs I got with this book! Yes, it was dark in places, and there were times where I was scared for Jack and Jill, but ultimately it was an enjoyable read with amazing characters and lots of creativity.

I would be interested in reading more about the characters in this world, though I'm not certain if there will be another book. If not, I will just be eager to read whatever the author comes up with next!

This is not your ordinary Jack and Jill story. Jill’s brother asked her to help check up on his wayward wife, little do they know the can of worms that simple question will cause. This is the first I have read of this author, and I was not disappointed. If you love werewolves, you will devour this in one sitting like I did.

The sizzle factor is off the charts! The characters are well developed and continue to grow throughout the entire book. The flow is smooth and you will be poked from page one. Even the characters you don't really care for, Carrie the wayward sister in law, you will end up rooting for. She falls into thrall of the Alpha, and her battle to be free is real. I loved Jill’s spunk. Don't mess with a woman on a mission. Jack is a tortured soul, the kind of dark broody we love. I can't recommend this shifter book enough. I hope there will be more to come, I’d love to follow the rest of the pack to be there for their HEA.
