I really enjoyed the other books in the misadventures series but I just couldn’t get into this one which was really disappointing.

A good read, kept my interest. So so chemistry.

Um…I just read this for the articles…I mean the superhero story.

The Superman Movie reference was superb.

And a Pentatonix reference! That’s obscure.

And there was a story to it, too. It was a decent story; it seemed like there was good development of it - more than just to prop up the more, er, R-rated portions.

And it gets really sappy - but you accept it.

Recommended if you love superhero stories, as long as you know going in, that this is less Superman Returns and more Sin City. (Well, it’s not anywhere near as dark - I’m just talking about adult content.)

Bolt is an unbelievably funny, sexy superhero. It's amazing what a bit of electricity can add to your love life! Angel Payne is my new superhero and I look forward to reading her next book!

This is the story of a nerdy,sexy superhero who will melt your heart and your panties. Emma.ine works the night shift at an LA hotel and she wants more out of life. She is sassy,smart and sexy. Her boss Reece has his eyes on her, the attraction is mutual, but he is hiding something, a secret so big he is not sure what would happen with Emmaline should he bring her closer to him. Wow!! What a fun, amazing, and sexy read in the Misadventures series!!  This one, Misadventures with a Super Hero was so much more than I expected!
 
Emmalina(Emma) is the night shift manager of a swanky hotel in LA. She's never met the big boss before, but her co-workers think he's weird. Once she meets him though, she's floored by the unexpected magnetic attraction she feels for him.

Reece(Bolt) is the odd boss who keeps himself locked away in the tower of the hotel he owns. Up there, he keeps a huge secret to himself.  He was experimented on-against his will-and now harbors what can only be described as super hero powers.  After escaping, he uses his powers against the bad elements of LA. He has never wanted to tell anyone about his powers-until Emma enters his life.  Unable to stay away from her, he realizes she is different from anybody he has ever met, and doesn't want to let her go. Can he come clean about his extra-curricular activities and tell her his secret??  Will it send her running to the hills??

This book was very intriguing and I loved the story as it unfolded! Emma and Reece were characters I enjoyed reading about. They had some serious chemistry sparking all about!! Seriously, they were a hot commodity!! The plot was interesting and I wanted to see how they could mesh their lives together and oust the bad guys!

Another incredible story in the Misadventures series!  I can't wait for more!!

This book was fun, hot and sexy! There are times we all need an escape from reality, and this gave us one!

Very interesting book not what I expected but I enjoyed reading. There’s an instant attraction between Emma and Reese when they met. Reese has secrets and once secrets are revealed brings dangers and challenges to their relationship and future. Reese come through in the end. Recommended read

After enjoying the first two in the Misadventures series, I expected to love it ... but even though there was lots of steamy sex, there just wasn't enough true substance to the plot to make it worth my while.

This is the story of Bolt/Reese and Emma. It has a bit of a comic book feel due to the super hero paranormal stuff. But overall it's still a cute romance.

Each of the misadventures books I've read get better and better. All of them have been wonderful. They're funny, romantic and with a bit of mystery or paranormal element. This story is no different in that it being a great book!

Emmalina Crist works the night shift in an exclusive elite hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. She has a thing for her geeky boss and can't quite put her finger on why she's so attracted to him.

One night she saved by a Super Hero named Bolt but she knows his true identity is none other than her boss, Reece Richards. When she tries to heat things up with her boss, she realizes his commitment issues are getting in the way.

So many silly moments and romantic scenes in this comic book feel book. I loved reading every word! I look forward to the next misadventure!

This Misadventures book was fun and full of steam. Emma and Reece's chemistry was off the charts, and I love a good superhero romance. What I hadn't expected was the sci-fi element to it - he is an actual superhero! Most novels have the "actor playing the superhero," so my surprise was one that had me elated. I truly enjoyed this novella!

I was given the opportunity to read an ARC on The Misadventures of a Super Hero from Net Galley.

This is the third book of the Misadventures Series, and it does not disappoint. It has humor, romance, mystery and oh yes....toe curling sex scenes. A winning combination. For those of you who are not sure about this genre, think again. This is clever writing at it's best.

Emma works the nightshift at a high end hotel. Her boss Reece is a bit of an enigma. Emma's co-workers just say he is "weird". Reece is a playboy billionaire heir to the hotel dynasty. His carnal lifestyle finally catches up with him in the form of Angelique who promises him a night of sexual pleasures. Little did he know that she had other plans for Reece. She lured him in and he ended up being more than just a "Weird Science" project.

Fast forward a year. Emma delivers paperwork to Reece, who is her boss at the hotel, and the chemistry and fireworks fly the moment their eyes meet. Emma could not understand why her co-workers think he is weird, she simply does not see it. On the TV at work Emma and her co-workers are freaked out when they see this Super Hero God with badass powers taking down bad guys. She finds out later Reece (AKA BOLT) is one and the same.

How can this relationship possibly work? How can there ever be a HEA? One of the quotes in this book, and there are many funny ones is: There is no instruction manual for this. Isn't there supposed to be an instruction manual, Congratulations, you are a Super Hero. This was a very fast read for me as I wanted to find out how this relationship panned out.

Thank you Angel Payne for thinking "outside the box" and bringing out my inner geek to the surface. I highly recommend this.

Reece Richards, what else do I need to say? I looooved him. I adored Emma. And together they just rocked this book. It's creative, funny, and very sexy. A great addition to the Misadventures series. I must say I think I would like more of the super duo, though. They are just that good!

Reece even unwillingly became a part of a daring experiment and eventually became the Bolt superhero dedicated to combating crime and works at his father hotel . Today he ceased to be the wild playboy, preferring to stay inmate for not knowing the reaction of people to his super powers. But everything changes when the seemingly demure Emmalina goes to his penthouse delivering company documents. The meeting of the two is fierce and changes their lives. Now they will need to set their priorities and know if they want to give themselves to the love and judgment of society.
With a dose of humor and an extreme load of eroticism, the writer leads a plot worthy of Justice League, Marvel or Xmen story showing the existential conflicts of who is different from the others.
At times I was confused by what happened and with the change of narrator,but I still liked the story and I had a lot of fun following the maturing of the couple. I just thought that the conclusion of the story was a bit quick and left room for more adventures of this pair.

Sadly this one just didn't work for me. I am a huge Angel Payne fan so I was really looking forward to Misadventures With A Super Hero so it really saddens me that I just couldn't connect with this one.

Interesting read. The first few chapters are ok, and I was curious on the story and the characters. I was intrigued on what will happen next. This may sound a bit not so good but I kind of find some scenes weird especially the hero and heroine's first 'bed scene'. Overall, the story is good and interesting. I'm looking forward to read what's more to this series.

This story cracked me up. Superheroes with extremities that glowed in color and a woman who is in tranced with her boss. That is what it comes down to. The sex was hot. I know this is fiction but it was pretty out there.

Reece is a former playboy mogul now turned superhero after mixing up with the wrong woman. He's sworn off relationships and life as he decides to through himself into running the La location of his family's hotel chain and fight crime in the hopes someone will take him down.Emma is an OF transplant trying to find more out of life. Reece and Emma share passion so deep it changes the both. It's a fun read but lacking. The story seems unfinished and plot holes aren't resolved. The rest of the characters are flat. Still as stories go it's readable.
