I adored this book and the funny suspense filled ride it took me on. The Misadventures series is the best thing ever written and I cant wait for more books!

I really wanted to like this book. Since a young age - I've always had that superhero fantasy - I blame it on all of the comics I read.

But, the writing style of this book totally turned me off. You know when people make fun of Romance novels...for using flowerly language and using as many words to describe the acts of sex without actually using the terms.

I skipped over most of this book with the crazy prose and words like "channel". I felt that I rolled my eyes more often than not.

I may just not be a fan of the authors writing - but there are still books in the misadventure series that I would like to read.

I unfortunately could not get into this book. I choose not to review this to bring down the author's ratings.

Okay, so this story-line is way outside my wheelhouse. My least favorite thing to read is paranormal and any sci-fy elements to a story I much more enjoy on screen but I wanted to read this entire series. I was intrigued from the moment it was announced and I knew there were going to be books that maybe were outside my comfort zone. But you know what, even tho this is something I just wouldn’t pick up on its own, I’m glad I stuck with it and read it! I enjoyed the heck out of the suspense element in the book but I enjoyed even more the journey of Emmalina and Reece!

For me, the book was unique and captivating, entertaining and very sexy.

This entire series so far has been a hit for me. I’ve enjoyed every book I’ve read and look forward to more in the future!

This is first time reading from the Angel Payne and my first superhero story. I enjoyed it a lot. I like the fact that Reece was struggling with some inner demons. This made him more reliable, human. He wasn't the typical superhero wanting to save the world or make it a better place. He doesn't even consider himself one. I do wish that there was more scenes with Emma and her co-workers towards the end. Also one of Reece's ability wasn't quite mention in a few scenes.

Misadventures with a Superhero is a fun, quick read. Reece is someone that women will want to have. For some his ability will be too much to swallow, but for others, it'll leave them satisfied.

If you love a Super Hero romance then this is THE BOOK FOR YOU! I have not come across many Super Hero Romances as I tend to stay away from fantasy type books.

Unfortunately Super Hero romance is just not my forte', so I don't want to have a bias opinion for anyone that loves this sub-genre. The book is definitely HOT and STEAMY and what appears to be a requirement to be a part of the Misadventures Series is plenty of erotica filled in this book.

If you are enjoying the Misadventure series like me, then definitely check out #3 it has a playboy turned Super Hero and our lovely Heroine Emma working in the Hotel Industry and fighting for their attraction and romance!

This is the first book that I have read by the author and it is a fun take on being a superhero. Reece Richards is a sexy, playboy billionaire. However his philandering ways get him into some trouble that alter his life making him seem somewhat off to others. Emmalina is a young woman who is working the night shift at Reece’s hotel to prove that she can make it on her own. When she sees Reece in person, she is immediately drawn to him and he is viscerally attracted to her. Can Reese trust Emmalina with his secret? I really enjoyed the banter between the characters and there are some very steamy scenes that keep the reader engaged throughout the book.

Very original and sexy. I've never read a super hero romance before and I really enjoyed this. The best part of this book was the chemistry between Emma and Reece and the way it was written. It was so poetic and beautiful; you couldn't help but feel the love and electricity flowing between them. My only issue with this book was the abrupt ending. I felt like it was left wide open and I'm ok with that if there is going to be a follow up novel. I would definitely love to read more Reece and Emma misadventures and see what happens with the Consortium.

I loved Emmalina and Reece's story. It was fun. It was sexy. It was nerdy. So enjoyable. This is my first Misadventures book, but it won't be my last. My first book by Ms. Payne and so lovely to find a new author to add to my favorites. Her writing was flawless, it was smooth, it flowed so easily.

I don't normally read supernatural books, but I am a fan of the Misadventure series and I couldn't skip this one. I absolutely loved this book. Bolt was a character I didn't see coming and I loved him! This is one of the funnest book I have read in quite sometime. I couldn't put it down. You aren't going to want to miss reading this misadventure!! I can't wait to read more from the author or the rest of this series!

Wow Angel Payne you did an AMAZING job of drawing me in with Misadventures with a Super Hero. I'm usually not a fan of books with literal Super Hero but this book I just could put down. Reece rich, playboy, hotel mogul with a side of super hero is HOT, HOT, HOT. Lord the things that man can do...hot damn. This book is the perfect weekend read what will leave you sweating from hot chemistry.

This is another total MUST read from the Misadventures series.

This is the third instalment in the Misadventures series of books - standalone stories that are sexy, spicy and a lot of fun. And in my opinion, this is by far the best of all the misadventures so far.

Emma and Reece are just perfect for each other. Sure, she’s the small town girl and he’s the worldly, wounded billionaire - but there’s more to both of them and at times, you see their roles reversed which was fun to see. The banter between the pair hit all my happy buttons - especially the nicknames. Sigh. Despite the fantasy element, I felt the characters were real and believable i their mannerisms and reactions. Yes, Reece was an alpha male but he was insecure, too. And and times, as Emma pointed out to him, he was a bit of a dork! I just loved this pair together. All round loved them.

The sex is sexy and hot but is always part of the storyline of the pair getting to know each other and working each other - and their own stuff - out. And thank God that this story doesn’t have any anal sex - I’m bored of books that feel they have to tack that on to be edgy and cool.

The writing style is, at times, a little frenetic and so lively it can be hard to keep up with. I can completely understand that this style may not be everyone’s cup of tea but personally, and for this story, I think it worked well. One thing you can say with certainty about Ms Payne’s writing style is that her voice is unique and her passion for her stories is clear in her words. The story is written in the first person, alternating between Emma and Reece’s viewpoints.

By the end of the book you’re left wanting to read more - not because the story is unfinished - but because you want to find out about this world of Emma, Reece - oh, and Bolt, too! This is like the satisfying end to season 1 - now I want season 2.

You’ve got a superhero element to this story but in truth, it’s quite a simple story about a guy and a girl who like each other and try to figure everything out while going through a lot of problems and emotions. And maybe I’m a bit mean but it was fun to watch Reece’s descent into love - oh how the mighty fall!

If you’re enjoying the misadventures series then this will be a welcome addition. Or if you’re looking for a fun, light, sassy and sexy read with a super hero element - I would recommend this story to you. 5 stars and I’ll be watching out for other books by Ms Payne.

I really enjoyed this Misadventure book. This book is different from anything else I have read recently. I would really like to see more into the future for "Bolt" and his "Velvet". I really would love to know if their children would be just as super! I can't wait for more Misadventures! #MSBB

I tried to read this author once before and absolutely hated the story I read, so I went into this read with quite a bit of trepidation, especially since my OCD had me wanting to read the entire series, in order. I have to say that I was frankly shocked at my enjoyment of this book!

I loved Emma and Reese's relationship! It was on the steamy side, and yet each of their encounters was a logical one for the point of the relationship and story that they were in. I appreciated what qualities that each one found in the other, and enjoyed seeing the hotel staff in action.

However, I wish that there had been a lot more about Bolt! I wanted to know more about The Consortium, how Reese got turned into Bolt, I even wanted more scenes of Bolt in action! The superhero angle got downplayed a bit too much for my tastes, but I have to say that I did enjoy what was there in the story.

I have to say that I found it very refreshing to find another superhero romance story, and was glad to have read it. I must say that I am now eager to read the author's 2018 offering in the Misadventures series!

The storyline and connection between Emma and Reece will blow you away.

This book combined two of my favorite things: superheroes and romance. And wow, does Angel Payne keep you captivated from beginning to end. It's just so enthralling.

Of the two, I fell more for Emma. Though weakened by the ferocity of Reece's domineering affections, her personality is big and bold. I love that she strives to make her own way in life, away from the riches of her family's lifestyle in the OC.

This was my first foray into her writing style, and she did not disappoint. I will definitely be looking into her arsenal of work for more.

Reece (our illustrious Super Hero BOLT) and Emma (Hotel Brocade night shift newbie, nicknamed Velvet) have this instant attraction that send sparks flying off each page! There’s humor, a sweet lightness at times, passion, intrigue, and the unmistakable way that Angel brings you into her wonderful world of words!

With BOLT, the ‘good guy’ Super Hero, and VELVET, the woman who brings him to his knees, this story begs us to suspend ‘real-life’ for just a while and enjoy everything Angel Payne and her creative mind and talent have to offer! She’s a true Wizard of Words who ALWAYS brings her A-game!

4.25 Stars for this fun, albeit a bit cheesy read! I didn't really know what to expect from this volume of the Misadventures series. Super heroes? Sure why not. Reece and Emma were definitely fun! And trust me Angel Payne can write some hella hot chemistry! All in all a totally enjoyable read and I'd absolutely recommend!

Misadventures with a Super Hero by Angel Payne continues the Misadventures series. Reece Richard's was a playboy who has been forced to become a superhero, Bolt.

Emmalina Crist works for him at his high rise hotel. When an encounter between them leads to Reece's realizations that there is something more to her that makes something possible between them, he can't help but pursue her and Emma will have trouble resisting. More than anything I liked the development of the interactions between Emma and Reece, though it started off hot, fast and, dare say it, electrifying, there is more there than just passion and heat. The interplay between characters and how they deal with the unique situations and dangers that Reece being Bolt represents build both the plot and their relationship.

Overall, I recommend Misadventures with a Super Hero by Angel Payne as an intriguing book that exceeds the concept of a rich, playboy superhero story and is an electrifying read.
