Holy hot Rockstar! An awesome read with an intense chemistry between Abby and Lucas. If you love yourself a rockstar and want a super hot read filled with sexy times and a bit of heart, this is the book for you!
Okay I LOVE LOVE LOVED this book. It was naughty and smutty and had the perfect ending. It wasn’t one of those books where it’s insta love. Well maybe it kinda is. I don’t know I’ll let you be the judge of that. Pick this book up if you love the other books in the Misadventures series!!
This story was not the story I was expecting from the blurb. The hero and the heroine were not very likable for in the beginning, which made it difficult to get into the story and connect to it. It was a little hard to take to be honest. I am not one to not finish a book, so I made myself keep reading. I am glad I did because as the story progressed, the characters developed more, which allowed me to not only connect with them, but to also start immersing myself into the story. I started to actually like them and their story, while wanting to see them get their happy ending. The sex scenes in this book were quite hot. These two had some chemistry together. I did not like the fact that it was only ever from her pov and not his though because I wanted his thoughts and feelings. Once this story had me tied into it, I was worried their ending was not going to a happily ever after one. Luckily, they did get their HEA, it just took a little while. It was an enjoyable read overall.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book from the publisher.
Favorite Quotes:
I lost my virginity to it… It would have been a fantastic memory for me if only he’d lasted past the first chorus.
For a long beat, Lucas brazenly looks me up and down like he’s deciding whether to purchase me from a pirate-bride auction.
“I knew he didn’t come onto you,” she whispers.“ But I just figured that’s because you’re you. I mean, no offense, but you look like you’re going to sell him Thin Mints.” “No offense taken. I love Thin Mints.”
I try to chuckle breezily but, surely, I sound more like a llama with bronchitis.
My Review:
This book took me a bit outside of my comfort zone for a stretch but realigned to provide a sweet HEA. The premise was interesting and entertaining and the story between the incendiary sensual scenes and licentious musings was an intriguing and captivating tale laced with witty snark. But, oh my! These characters could make a porn-star blush and had superhuman stamina. If the book had included a product placement for vitamins it would have made the company buckets of cash as everyone would seek out the magical elixir promising this enviable level of supernatural endurance.
Will not review this book. Please see the notes to the publisher as an explanation.
Time to clutch your pearls, ladies! There's a lot more here than just a "quick blush" - this is a one-handed book, as sexy and steamy as any I've read. This is one scorching hot romance that will redefine what a woman will sacrifice for the love of her life! When Abby gets the chance to meet her rock star idol, she quickly goes from star-struck to disgusted with his insufferable ways. Luke, on the other hand, is completely enthralled with the woman who tells him off in such a magnificent style!
Thus begins their complicated muse/artist relationship, and when I say "complicated" I mean unbelievably complex with hidden motives, outrageous requests, conflicting emotions and a contract that allows for a whole lot of ambiguous details. To say that things get messy is the understatement of the year! Climb aboard the SS Night Shift for the misadventure of your life! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book through NetGalley.
Lucas and Abby's story is one that will drag you in and keep you reading. Abby is someone who at first is unsure of herself and where she fits. Lucas is a rock star with trust issues.
The book had me from page one. You can't help but root for Abby and Lucas.
loved this book like the others in the series. It was a great read. Must read kind of book.
I don't think that I have read a book with a smile on my face, as I did with Misadventures on the Night Shift. I fell in love with Lucas and Abby and the smart, funny, and sexy couple. Abby is a strong willed young woman that comes out of her shell with the love she receives from Lucas. This is a must read that will keep you turning pages as you read!
Misadventures on the Night Shift by Lauren Rowe is book 6 in the "Misadventures" series. This is the story of Abby Medford and Lucas Ford.
Abby works the night shift at a hotel so that she can study and also leave her days free for law school. Night shift was thought to be a quiet shift but that all seem to change when Lucas headed to the Penthouse suit of the hotel. Nothing was ever the same again for Abby.
Abby and Lucas story was really hot! But along with being really hot it had some funny and sad parts too. This is one book you will want to put down once you start reading it!
I cant wait to read more books by Ms. Rowe and in the Misadventure series!
Loved it!

I LOVE Misadventures on the Night Shift!!!! I think this is for sure my FAVORITE in the series!
This is my first book to read by Lauren Rowe and I need to go add her books to my TBR ASAP!
This love story consists of moody, Rock Star - Lucas Ford and Law Student by Day, Hotel Worker at Night - Abby. Abby & Lucas share a steamy, hot week where she is hired as his muse to help his song writer's block...
You HAVE to read this book its just PERFECT - even the songs are just beautiful! This book is just swoon, heart melting, worthy with both individuals overcoming and setting themselves free.
"If you love someone, set them free."
Misadventures on the Night Shift was a whole lot of kinky, with a twist of fantasy on the side.
Abby Medford seemed to going through the motions--earning her law degree the hard way and working overnight at a glamorous hotel. Seemed she didn't really have much of a life outside of work and school and was desperate for some adventure. When her teenage rock-star crush, Lucas Ford, happens to need a room at her hotel after he lost his cool during one of his concerts, Abby's life is about to get interesting.
At first, I liked Abby and how she was a stickler--she took her job and certain "laws" pertaining to her job seriously. But then she became a lose cannon, willing to stop at nothing. I just wished she'd played a little harder to get. In my opinion, she gave into Lucas Ford way too quickly because when the sparks started to fly, they shot off like a rocket. Literally. The author didn't hold a thing back when it came to fulfilling the needs and desires of Lucas Ford, his drummer, and Abby. And while this was a panty-scorching read, I just wished Abby would've been a stronger heroine.
Lucas Ford needed something positive to happen to bring him from the funk his record label had left him in. He knew what he wanted and stopped at nothing to get it, even if he ended up risking his heart along the way. Meeting Abby helped to fulfill his needs, not just for writing songs but other "sexier" things as well.
The overall premise for this story is interesting and I probably enjoyed the ending the most. Both characters were struggling with deep underlying issues and seemed that taking to steamy sex was their way of coping.
Overall, it's a promising story that I'm sure lots will enjoy if you're really into steam. Trust me, there were parts where the pages sizzled. But it seemed that the characters lacked depth until closer to the end when everything started to fall into place. It was then that I believed in them and could actually trust with what they were saying.

I enjoyed Abby and Lucas... The game was fun but the chemistry and emotions made this book a non-stop read for me. I loved Lucas and his sexy ways. His empowerment of Abby was a true turn on but the addiction of her is what made me believe it had changed a long time ago. Pure lust and respect was made in Penthouse A. Regardless of all other things a muse is what Abby was not.
This was my first book by Lauren Rowe and I truly enjoyed the character growth and understanding. How one push and pulled the other. It was just a sweet erotic romance.
I was given an arc through netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I struggled a bit with this book in the beggining. I want to dnf at the 20% mark. I’m so glad I didn’t!!!!
Abby works the night shift at a swanky hotel. Who should happen to walk in after an onstage meltdown? Her teenage crush and mega rockstar Lucas Chase. They get off on the wrong foot, but def feel the sparks.
He asks Abby to be his muse for a week so he can write the greatest album he’s ever released. From hear, the story develops into a sexy adventure between two people trying to escape past mistakes.
If you love a good rock star romance, this is the book for you.
This book focuses on Abby, who is in school to become a lawyer while working the night shift at the Redford Hotel in Denver, and Lucas who is a rockstar and Abby's childhood crush.
Lucas has a slight mental break while performing at a concert and winds up at Abby's hotel. She is not afraid to tell him the truth and gives him a piece of her mind. During his week stay in Penthouse A, he comes up with an idea of a way to write another hit song for his final album. What he doesn't realize is that things don't always go as planned.
Loved this book, just like other in the series. Steamy, well written, makes you want more

This book was Hot! Hot! Hot! I totally loved this entire book. It was super steamy and sexy af.
Sexy Rock Star meets Secret Hot Nymph, his addiction and muse.
Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. This was a great sexy romance and I couldn't get enough.
Thanks NetGalley and Waterhouse Press for the arc in exchange for my honest review.
Lucas is a rock star that has writer’s block and needs to write his 4th and final album with a recording company that he is trying to get out from under. He wants the freedom to write what he wants, he no longer wants to write the songs he wrote when he was just starting out at 17 ... like the recording company wants him to. Abby is a part-time law student by day and hotel clerk by night. She has crushed on Lucas since she was a teenager and is stunned to come face to face with him one night at work. She reads him the riot act about smoking in public and he becomes entranced with her because she doesn’t back down from him. He has a proposition for her ... be his muse for 1 week and at the end of that week break up with him, so he can feel the emotions to write another great song.
This book is HOT, HOT, HOT! There is a little bit of romance among all that steam. There are quite a few plot twists that make you wonder if there relationship will actually survive. Lucas and Abby’s relationship is far from normal right from beginning to end!
I received an ARC copy courtesy of Waterhouse Press through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.
This book is quirky, funny, and overall just a fabulous book! The story of Abby and Lucas (and come on those names are perfect!) has everything a book can offer you.
It's fast paced but not so much you feel rushed. It's incredibly well written and honestly, the story leaves wanting so much more but only because you just don't want it to end!
I loved every misadventure this book took me on, even late into the night shift! Truly, one of the best books I've read all year!
4.25☆ This was a sexy, hot, engaging and enjoyable story. That although I found a little hard to get into, soon caught my attention. As the characters were likable, the story was fun, and full of heat. Yet it was balanced well with the overall storyline. Which I found to be unusual and interesting take on rockstar romance, and for me thats what made this story so different and enjoyable to read.
