Cute, funny book with biblical lessons for women. I actually laughed out loud in many parts and it takes a lot for me to do that. The story about Esther is wonderfully told. The author's own experiences are also meaningful. Recommended.
This book was very entertaining and inspirational. The author discusses some of the most popular women of the Bible and puts her own twist on their stories and her overall thoughts on them. She also ties real life scenarios to make it more relatable. She also adds a lot of personal stories (which I loved) to
My favorite chapter was Queen Esther. I was smiling when I read it.
I did think she veered off in some parts of the book but it was still a fun read.
I recommend to everyone! It will lift your spirits!
So much truth found while laughing!
Not much I love more in a book then a good funny southern story full of heart and humor. This book somehow takes those funny southern family stories and uses them to teach me truths about the women in the bible and how they relate to me.
As much as I adore the wit and wisdom in the stories. My very favorite part of the book is the little bit at the end of each chapter that ties it all up. How did this Biblical woman Flip-Flop? How did she Sparkle and Shine? How can I find the sparkle in the middle of my flop.
Such a needed book right now!

I am reviewing a copy of Rhinestones on My Flip-Flops through FaithWords and Netgalley:
This book reminds us that just because our lives have likely been flipped, but the challenge is that we don't become a flop.
In this book we are reminded too only take advice from people who only have our best interest at heart. Herlong goes on to point out that confidence creates magic moments.
Rhinestones on My Flip-Flops encourages us to find laughter I'm the face of our everyday mess ups.
We are reminded too never to say never. The author points out too that pity parties neither sparkle or shine.
Jane Jenkins Herlong is a professional Southern-Christian humorist. Which is evident I. This book as she guides us through those inevitable blunders of life.
Five out of five stars!
Happy Reading!
Ha! This book is so snarky-funny, but in a gracious way. The author says all of those things that we know, but we don't talk about. (Well, at least, us Southern girls were taught not to talk about them.) She keeps it real and opens up an honest conversation. This is like sitting down to coffee (maybe with a splash of Kahlua!) with your best girlfriend...
