Committed to using artisan-produced spirits in his San Francisco bars, Vogler gives us an impassioned plea for these makers who ar mostly lost in the clamor of big liquor.Through his travels in France, Cuba, Scotland, Mexico, and the US with colleagues, vendors, and friends, we discover these spirits and the people behind them.

For myself i could have used less memoir and more time spent on the spirits, but it's a wonderfull look at methods that reflect the heritage of these spirits and one which should be preserved.
