I absolutely loved the photographs in this book. They showed all kinds of friends from different sizes and shapes, different ethnicities, different ages and different abilities. With one sentence every couple of pages, this was a simple book with a big message. A great book for beginning readers.
All Kinds of Friends by Shelley Rotner is a fantastic celebration of friendship in all forms. The cover exemplifies fun to be had with a group of 9 kids on playground equipment. The book contains photographs of real children along with one line of text on each page. The kids shown are doing all kinds of fun activities from horseback riding and playing ball to reading and holding a puppy. The book is simplistic yet full of life! It explores differences, feeling, and most definitely, FUN! "What kids of friends do you have?" I definitely recommend this for library collections and all young readers!
