This was an interesting, informative and readable book. I found that the advice could equally be applied to boys or girls. despite it being aimed at understanding boys. It was something that I would recommend to parents or any staff working with pupils in an education setting in order to help them understand what is going on behind the behaviour in pupils who are struggling. There are lots of practical tips which is helpful.
As a mother of sensitive sons, I guess I expected a lot out of this book. Instead, what I got what a lot of what I'd consider "common sense,' things that I already knew. There was nothing new in here...no applicable suggestions for helping your child thrive. Our world has changed quite a bit, though, just in the past decade, and being a sensitive male no longer carries with it the stigma that it once did.
