Not the koontz I'm used to. It had his mysterious style writing but not the jump in your face stand out like other writings. Sadly disappointed.

If you loved The Silent Corner as much as I did, then you will love this book, the second installment in Koontz’s Jane Hawk series. The suspense is top-notch, and Jane remains an amazingly well-crafted and strong female heroine that anyone would enjoy reading about. I can’t wait to read future installments in the series!

I've read several books by Dean Koontz and have enjoyed them all. His books are easy to follow and very fast paced. Many times I had to stop reading and didn't want to. I highly recommend this book and anything else that he's written.

Reading a Dean Koontz book is like buying the beer you like, you know it's going to be consistently good.

Wow, what a wild ride! Jane Hawk has to be one of the best pop culture characters created in thriller literature. On to part 3 fo sho! Highly recommended.

This was a great book that I thoroughly enjoyed however I did find it to be a little lacking. I would’ve liked for a little more action and progress. Overall I definitely liked the book and I’m glad that I read it.

In Dean Koontz second work in this series, Jane Hawk is as relentless as you want somebody to be to uncover the truth about to effect us all. As a writer he knows how to deliver the suspense! Always a good read but these are some of his best!

Love Dean Koontz and this book didn't disappoint. It is the second book in the Jane Hawk series. it is a fast moving book that will keep you hooked. You should read the first book in the series before this on because it starts right where the last one left off.

Dean Koontz is an absolute master. With very few exceptions, I have loved every one of his books and I always wondered how he continues to do as he does. With The Whispering Room, the sequel to the first Jane Hawk novel, The Silent Corner, Koontz ups the ante.
What a great character Jane Hawk is and what a story. I don't like spoilers, so suffice it to say that Jane is going after even bigger game in book 2 with such passion and hope that you find yourself rooting her on every step of the way.

When I requested this book, I did not realize it was the second book in a series. I just read it without reading the first book and I definitely felt like I was missing out on the storyline. I wish this had stated that its was part of a series. I had not read any of Dean Koonz books so I did not know what to expect. This was an unexpected surprise and I definitely enjoyed the twists and turns of this novel.

This was a good book.
Jane is on a mission to find out exactly what happened to her husband, There is a lot of deception and guessing of who can be trusted.

Definitely one of Koontz’s best. Gripping as always and his writing seems to be better with age. Unsettling as all the best thrillers are.

Picking up right where book one left off with Jane still on the run I highly recommend reading from the beginning with ‘The Silent Corner’ before jumping into this one to get the most out of the story lines.
Both books are more than worth a read and I cant recommend them highly enough.
For both die hard Koontz fans as well as newcomers to this author this and its predecessor are defiantly Must Reads

Oh my! Only the mind of Dean Koontz can come up with these story concepts! He will secretly lead you down a road of deception, depravity and conspiracy..... and make you love it the whole time.
This book leaves you running to the book store looking for the next Dean Koontz book.
*Note to self: I do NOT want to "get into the mind" of Koontz. It's way too creepy inside there.

With Koontz's smooth and detailed story telling, this book starts right where the last ended! As we have already met Jane Hawk and so many of the characters in the previous story, we are able to jump right into the action and adventure which is all we have been waiting for! After the unimaginable attack by a much loved school teacher, this non-stop, action packed novel takes us across the country to a small town in Kentucky, in the attempt to find the heart of the mind controllers. Many important people have been taken out of the game and Jane is hopefully one step ahead of the game. While working closely with Sheriff Luther Tillman, Jane continues her epic journey to find and conquer the mind control programmers. We are introduced to new characters that will steal our hearts and others that we wish we could fight with right along Jane. An absolute wonderful continuation in the Jane Hawk series and I can't wait to continue the journey in the continuation of this series! Jane is a heroine we can believe in and fight the good fight along side!

This fast paced thriller is a sure hit with Dean Koontz fans. Lots of action and suspense to keep you turning the pages.
