No Time to Explain by Kate Angell
Barefoot William Beach #6

Fun, funny and filled with charm – what a treat this book and series truly is!

Joe “Zoo” Zooker is a hound….self-proclaimed player who enjoys women and even has his own groupies known as his posse. He never promises women more than pleasure and a good time should they take his offer to join him in bed and he is perfectly content with his life just as it is. When he’s scouting out his next night’s woman while walking on the boardwalk he notices Stevie Reynolds trying on something being sold at a bridal fair and makes a comment on the boardwalk during a bridal fair he makes a comment about something she has just tried on. Her response is not what he expected…not at all. One thing leads to another…sort of. Stevie is drawn but does not succumb easily – for more than one reason. Joe is trying to figure out why his charm doesn’t seem to work on Stevie and why he is drawn to her in spite of her stand-offish prickly behavior. Joe is more than the “hound” he seems to be and Stevie is less prickly than she first appears. Add in some great baseball, a variety of friendships and romances (human and canine), superheroes, doggy daycare, a bridal shoot…and more… and you end up with this very entertaining delightful addition to the Barefoot William Beach series.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the ARC – This is my honest review.

I really enjoyed the story of Zooker and Stevie! I have enjoyed all of Kate Angell's books I have read. I love the community feel of Barefoot William. The characters are well developed. The story is filled with old and new friends. I love a book that makes me laugh and this story definitely did that! Add to that there were bonus love stories Twyla & George, Dean & Lori and how can I forget Turbo and Etta! I look forward to the next book in this series! I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did!

I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review.

The Richmond Rogues are back! I fell in love with the Rogues years ago and forgot how much I missed them until I read this book! It will not only have you laughing at the crazy antics of the dogs and Rogues, but will also have you loving the relationships that will form along the way. Kate Angell never disappoints and No Time To Explain is spot on!!!

Joe Zooker has one thing on his mind, finding his next hook up and what better place than an outdoor wedding convention. And when he meets an attractive woman at a garter vendor and he can't seem to forget about her and her unique name, Stewie.

Stevie is in town for a few months to help her aunt out and when her and her friend, Lori, decide to stop at a wedding convention, she is surprised to meet Joe Zooker, a Richmond Rogue. And while she tries to ignore his charm, she can't help but still be attracted to him. But she promised her cousin she would stay away from the Rogues especially Zoo.

When chance throws them together again an again, Stevie is soon forced to realize that maybe giving Joe a chance might not be the worst thing. But trying to appease her cousin and Joe soon becomes a lot and she might have to make a decision on who's side she is on. But will Joe be able to tear her walls down or will his reputation and her cousin force her to give up her chance at happiness?

What's better to read than, romance, baseball and puppies, then this is the perfect read for you! Loved, loved this story of Stevie and Joe, with a few other sideline romances. Richmond Rougues are back for spring training. Joe is all in for the baseball and not interested into a long term relationship until he meets Stevie and things will now change. Stevie is new to town and is helping her aunt's doggie daycare. The attraction and chemistry is there but she does not want her heart broken.

Loved the banter between Stevie and Joe. Both dog lovers!! Loved Turbo and Etta too, puppy love!! This is a fun, fast paced story that you can not put down. I highly recommend this story. This is part of series but can be read as a stand alone.

If there is a woman who can put romance, seduction and passion into baseball, that woman is Kate Angell! Her love and knowledge of the game is evident in the romances she writes. The Richmond Rogues are one of my all time favorite romance sports teams. With their bad boy attitudes and swagger and there titillating tattoos, they are the perfect heroes. In the Barefoot Williams series we not only get the hot as sin baseball players but we also get the backdrop of a quaint and welcoming beach town with all its quirky and sweet inhabitants.

In "No Time to Explain" we finally get to meet the woman who will tame the party boy Joe "Zoo" Zooker. With his own party posse, Zoo is the last man in need of female attention. He can get and does get any woman he sets his eyes on. That is until he meets Stevie. Granted, he has no intention of getting serious with anyone. Especially a woman whom he meets at a wedding convention, but after seeing her trying on a blue garter belt, he can't seem to want to leave her side. And it seems that fate is more than willing to help him out as they continue to run into each other. Can the wild left fielder finally be tamed?

Stevie knows all about the Richmond Rogue's bad boy. Her cousin DJ has warned her to stay away from the players. And if there is one man who she needs to keep her distance from, it is Zoo. He is what sex dreams are made of. But she knows that he will never want more than a one night stand and she can't afford to get her heart broken. She is in Barefoot Williams to help her aunt with her doggie daycare, Unleashed, while she is recuperating from her broken foot. However, it seems that Zoo is determined to break her walls and fate is definitely on the bad boy's side. Will Stevie be the one to tame Zoo?

As always Kate Angell gives us a story full of heat. The chemistry grabs you from the moment they meet and only intensifies as the book progresses. Zoo is the quintessential bad boy that we all want to have to ourselves. He is a bad boy with a heart of gold and he definitely knows how to make a woman feel special! Another thing that I love about this series is that it always has a dog as one of the main characters. There is nothing better than a four legged secondary character to help along with a budding relationship and Turbo is just too cute for words! Will Zane Cates be the hero of the next book of this great series? Can't wait to find out!

The Rogues are back in Barefoot William for another spring training and the players are as wild as ever! Joe “Zoo” Zooker likes having his own kind of fun before training begins with as many willing ladies as he can find. After that it's all baseball all the time. That is until a certain sassy woman catches his eye. Stevie knows Joe Zooker's type all too well and she is immune to his charm! Besides she's way too busy for the likes of him. He's not giving up that easy though!!

I love these Barefoot William books and this is one of my favorites! Great characters and a nice easy story make this a perfect lazy day read. I highly recommend it.

Another great romance. I loved the way Stevie & Joe meet. Even though Stevie knew who Joe was when they met she acted like she didn't and rebuffed any of his attempts at flirtation. Joe couldn't stop thinking about Stevie and kept pursuing her. I loved that the more Stevie rebuffed the more Joe tried and they actually became friends. I loved the way their romance unfolded and really enjoyed this story. I have enjoyed all the books in the Barefoot Williams Beach series. Loved the "old" Richmond Rogues players making an appearance during a game.

Loved it, really enjoy Kates writing, very easy to read. Just needs a Rottie on the cover.

No Time to Explain is a fun, breezy read that I thoroughly enjoyed. It's the story of professional baseball player, Joe "Zoo" Zooker, a wild, love em and leave em type, and Stevie Reynolds, his exact opposite. Joe has his "party posse" groupies that he spends most nights with and Stevie is just in town to help her ailing aunt with her doggie " daycare/grooming business and does not plan to spend much time socializing. That gradually changes when circumstances have Joe moving into Stevie's aunt's house. I loved the main character's and the supporting cast is excellent. This book has much to recommend it, sexy baseball players, cute dogs, sweet kids and a heroine with a hear of gold. This book is part of the author's Barefoot William series but you do not have to read the earlier books to thoroughly enjoy this one. Highly recommend!

No time to explain is one funny awesome sports love story. OMG, I loved it. It is written just the way I like with a lot of humor, great developed characters, both easy to fall in love and guess what it has a dog too. I love when a story has a dog in it. The way Zoo and Stevie meet hilarious, their dialogue and their teasing great great great. Although full of himself I loved Zoo he turned out to be a great guy, I just loved that although he was rejected so many times from Stevie he keeps it easy, was always teasing her and was not unfriendlier. Stevie was also the heroine that I love strong, independent had a strong backbone and didn't give a damn a bout Zoos flirting techniques. The chemistry between them of the hook hot. I loved how the story was so unpredictable toward the end and that all had their HEA.

Cute read with some interesting characters including the dogs. Turbo and Etta were so cute together. Joe wasn't my type of guy in the beginning but it really was just a layer of him and he switched very quickly. Stevie was very sassy and it seemed to dilute as the book went on. The team bond was nice to see and I'd like to see some of their stories. The dog day care was a nice change of setting and made for some funny scenes. The only issue I had with the book was at the end when Joe proposed to Stevie. I don't think with the story that this was the right way to go. For me it would have been better to have it be a relationship commitment. They still had a long way to go before marriage should have been brought up. It was too much of a huge change for Joe even with the way the relationship was going at the time. I received a free ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Over the years I've read every single Kate Angell book there ism, all of her Richmond Rogues  with my favorite being Sliding Home (Richmond Rogues, #4)  and now Barefoot William.

It's still all about Baseball, but now it's also about the beach, dogs, and just having fun in the sun. I enjoy where the new series has been taken me.

Kate Angell's books have always been fun and easy reads. Perfect for lazy summer days. Her Richmond Rogues are alphas, jocks, heartbreakers and guys who know how to have fun. Joe “Zoo” Zooker was no expectation. He had his own posse of party girls and baseball bunnies. He wasn't interested in relationships or anything committed - until he met Stevie. Neither of Kate Angell's guys were ever interested in relationships until they met the ONE.

Same with Joe and Stevie.

They met at the beach boardwalk, Joe helped Stevie out of pickle and suddenly they met again and again. His dog needed a doggie daycare - Stevie's aunt owned one. Stevie won a bridal shoot but needed a groom - Joe to the rescue. The more they spent time together, the more explosive the chemistry between them became.

It's always interesting to see a self-proclaimed single fall. Not immediately, but over time, and without him ever acknowledging it he eventually succumbs to the ONE.

Even so Joe wasn't on the market for a girlfriend, he was an incredibly well liked guy by women and men. He was sociable, friendly, charming, and a true catch. He just couldn't see himself with just one woman, tied down, thinking about more than just the next game.

Stevie, didn't plan on finding herself in the vicinity of one Joe “Zoo” Zooker, but circumstances were known to change plans, and suddenly she was living next door to a professional baseball player. Stevie, had dreams of her own and being attracted to Joe wasn't planned nor wanted, but she also couldn't turn it off. And the more she got to know him, the harder it was to keep her distance.

Both, Joe and Stevie were wonderful characters. Easily likable and relatable. But Kate Angell's characters were always like that. It's pretty much a given that whenever I read one of her novels, I'm having a great time.

A fun and snarky beach book, that had me chuckling throughout. I really liked the sparks that flew from Joe and Stevie (or should I say Joey and Stewie). Joe is a baseball player, and a player on and off the field. Stevie is helping her aunt run the doggy day care, and Joe brings his rottie over to be enrolled. Poor Turbo, he means well, but can't seem to stay out of trouble. Like dog, like master. A fun read, and one I highly recommend.

This book moved a little too fast for me. Joe was a little childish about Dean being Stevie's cousin in the end. It was a smooth and fast read. I still love Katie Angell and will keep reading about the Rouges. It was nice to have an appearance from all the previous players.

I love all if the Barefoot William books and it was nice to see some of the past characters in No Time to Explain.

Joe is a baseball player down to his bones. He doesn't do commitments, instead, he has his hand selected posse of women who are there whenever he needs them. He likes women and they like him back.

Stevie is in town to help her Aunt while she is recovering from an injury. She winds up in several unusual positions and more than once Joe comes to her rescue. Joe is drawn to her, for reasons that he doesn't understand, especially when Stevie shoots him down at ever turn.

Sometimes you have to open up your heart and trust the other person in return.

I really wanted to like this book, i loved the cover and the blurb, but once I started it, I was so disappointed. The main reason, I didn't like Joe, right from the beginning I found him to be an arrogant, ladish bloke, who the author did nothing to show his softer side, gave up after 4 chapters...just couldn't read anymore

Another fanatastic book in the Richmond Rogues series! Kate Angell is awesome as always. She makes you feel like you are in the book. Barefoot William is an awesome town and has towns people are just great.

This book is about Stevie and Joe. Stevie is in town helping her Aunt run her dog spa business named Unleashed. Joe is in town for spring training for the Richmond Rogues. Stevie is a very sweet, romantic that loves her family. Joe is a player on and off he field. He had a bad child hood and doesn't do commitment.

Stevie and Joe meet on the board walk during Bridal Event. Stevie being the romantic she is, is experiencing everything. She even try's on a custom garter. Joe being himself sees a nice pair of legs and decides to flirt. Stevie knows Joe and his reputation because her cousin is a minor league player vying for Joes spot on the Majors team. Stevie is rude and leaves after they have words. Stevie doesn't realize that she is still wearing the garter. The owner see her leaving and calls for security and tells them Stevie is trying to steal. Joe lets it go on for a minute but he intervenes. The security guard recognizes Joe and he tells him that Stevie is his woman. They offer to pay for the garter and they are able to leave without Stevie getting arrested. Stevie and Joe go their seperate ways but keep bumping into each other at the event.

Even though Stevie isn't seeing anyone she enters a drawing for a wedding photo shoot because she won't win. The remainder of the day Stevie and Joe continue to run into each other. Joe continues to hit on Stevie and make suggestive remarks and she continues to be snippy and unaffected. Joe is attracted to Stevie because she basically ignores him and his moves don't work on her. Stevie is also attracted to Joe but will not act on it because of her cousin.

Stevie and Joe have great chemistry and find theirselves in funny situations during this book.'this is a sweet,'sexy and funny book about two people finding love.

This was a fun beach read. It was sexy and cute. I liked the incorporation of baseball and dogs and cupcakes! The chemistry between Stevie and Joe was hot and flirtatious.

If you’ve read any of Kate Angell’s Barefoot Williams’ series before, you know what you’re going to get: a charming read with an interesting, maybe insecure, heroine; a hunky, athletic hero; fun animals; and short, choppy sentences that sometimes lack subjects. And it’s all in a delightful, summery setting that just makes you want to kick back on the beach and enjoy the weather and the book. That’s exactly what you get in this newest entry.

Joe Zooker is a star left-fielder on the Richmond Rogues who has vowed never to settle down with just one woman. Instead he has a party posse of babes who are happy to hang with him as a harem of available women. He notices Stevie at a weird sort of wedding fair of products appealing to prospective brides and tries to pick her up. But she’s not interested in such a player. They keep meeting up in and eventually they’re both living at her aunt’s house which is the most wonderful doggie day-care place that anyone could imagine. While his Rottweiler falls for her cousin’s bulldog in a sweet doggie romance, Joe falls for her.

It’s all very charming and sweet like the other books in the series. If you don’t mind a guy who has a party posse of babes one day and then is hankering after the heroine the next day, then you’ll thoroughly enjoy this book.

I was given a free ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
