The Christmas Wedding Swap by Allyson Charles
A Pineville Romance #

Two chefs, two restaurants, two cities, two people that fall for one another BUT can they find a way for it to work with five hundred miles between their domiciles?

Allison Stuart owns The Pantry. She provides great comfort diner food for a moderate price. She loves her work, her recipes and the town she lives in. She is the last of her siblings still single and they all want her to experience wedded bliss and have what they do in life. She is not averse to the idea BUT is not willing to settle. That said, since she is looking for THE ONE she is done with flings…even though…

Luke Hamilton owns Le Cygne Noir in Chicago and is head chef, too. One of his managers slipped a contract in with papers he was signing and now he is on the run from process servers. When he lands in Pineville and his motorcycle dies he is stuck. An opportunity to cook and to help Allison out pops up while he is sitting in her diner and as a result he takes on the position of…till her friend Sadie’s wedding reception is catered, his motorcycle is fixed and he is ready to move on.

As Luke spends time in Pineville he relaxes, makes friends and enjoys cooking for the sake of cooking. As Allison and Luke get to know one another better things heat up BUT is there any hope for a HEA for them with all that is working against them? Perhaps…or perhaps not.

This is an easy, fun to read, small town romance that takes place during the holiday season. I enjoyed it and hope you will, too. Oh, what was “the swap”? Read to the book and see ;)

Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books-LyricalShine for the ARC – This is my honest review.

I really, really loved this book. Allison owns a diner and marches to her own tune. Her family disses her on a regular basis and she just takes it. Enter Luke Hamilton (a renown chef and high line restaurant owner) and offers to help out when her cook quits on her. She doesn't know who he is, just that he keeps changing her recipes and buys way better coffee. Sparks fly between the two of them. Honestly, several times I had to just laugh out loud They had great chemistry and the sexy scenes were off the charts. They had several misunderstandings, mostly due to Allison's lower self esteem. She really can't see what he sees in her. This was a fun book to read and the ending was a complete surprise. I loved it!
I got this book from NetGalley for an honest review. I reviewed on goodreads and will add Amazon as soon as it's published

I really enjoyed this one. These characters were amazing and the overall story was completely entertaining. Excellent writing and a nice flow to the story made it a great read.

Allison Stuart is a free spirit and her family just doesn't get her. While they are all doctors and lawyers she's found her happy owning a small diner in her small hometown. The bright lights of the city just aren't for her. Luke Hamilton is a man running from his troubles. The last woman he trusted got him into all sorts of trouble and may cost him his restaurant in Chicago. If he can just hide out from the process server for another couple of months his troubles will go away. That's how he ends up in Allison's life! She's in a bind and he needs somewhere to hideout. Cooking in her small diner will keep him busy and give her the help she needs. That is if they don't kill each other first....or fall in love!

I would definitely recommend this one.

This was a fun little quick read, and the two main characters were very likeable. It really didn't have anything to do with Christmas though. That's OK but it's promoted as a Christmas romance and it's really not.

Fab! Couldn't put it down, started and finished it in the same day! Admittedly you could tell what the ending was going to be but that didn't spoil the enjoyment of it :)

This was such a lovely read, a typical love story set around my favourite time of year - Christmas!
The storyline is somewhat predictable but enjoyable none the less.
Has made me want to read more of the Pineville stories.
Thanks for letting me read and review the book.

This book was so funny I loved it. Seriously I laughed at the stuff on Tinder and when Luke tries to tell Allison what to do with her economical food, it just made me laugh so hard. Luke is a down on his luck chef/restaurant owner from the big city. Allison lives in a small town and runs the diner and is single.

Everyone is trying to get her hitched when sexy Luke runs into her. Then he finds out he is stuck in town she he asks for a job at her diner. And then he charms the locals and tries tellling Allison what to do. I beyond loved this reall fun and funny story.

Its my first time reading this author but I fell hard for Luke and the laughs in this story.

Allison and Luke's story in the Pineville Romance series is so much fun. Allison is slightly a misfit in her family, but is loyal, loving and sassy. Luke comes to Pineville for an escape from a legal situation, and while his motorcycle is being repaired he goes to work for Allison in her diner. What ensues is engaging and heartwarming (although I just skipped over the graphic sex which for me threatened to ruin the love story) and is a great addition to Allyson Charles' series.
