This was my first London Hale book but it definitely won't be my last! It grabbed my attention from very early on and was super sexy without being gratuitous. I liked the characters and the level of angst and tension it was able to build in a short amount of time. It may help that I'm a bit of a sucker for the teacher or administrator) and student taboo. 4 out of 5 wine glasses.
I had never read a Londan Hale book before and was drawn by this books titles. It's such a taboo, naughty story that would be hard to write without crossing too many icky lines. But the authors and Carina Press did a good job keeping things hot and steamy and wicked, without going too over the line. I loved the book and hope to read more from Londan Hale in the future.
The writing style of this author and the added spin on the somewhat familiar tale of right time, right place, wrong relationship connections was enjoyable and really surprising fresh. Professor Elliott and student and barista Samantha want to take their flirting to the next level but run into the complication of each realizing who the other. Fun, dirty and filled with light drama.
I wanted to like this book, it sounded just up my alley, but at the time I tried to read it I couldn't finish it. I tried putting it down and picking it up again but nothing seemed to catch my attention; I want to try it again but at this moment I didn't finish it.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was short, sweet and sexy! It was full of steamy moments that did not disappoint! Thank you to NetGalley & the publisher for sending me a copy to review!
'Seducing His Student' by London Hale is the story of Elliott and Samantha.
This is a Novella with about 81 pages, so it is a quick easy read.
Their story is somewhat taboo with the student / teacher type theme. But overall a really hot read!

Enjoyed this story as you really felt the connection between Sam and Elliot. The author brilliantly portrays a whirlwind romance and the passion between two lovers.
Ok, who is surprised I loved this London Hale book? No one? Good. I've been addicted to their short, hot and dirty romances since I picked up the very first one. I'm happy to say the streak continued with Seducing His Student, but I very much suspected it would. I do love a good student/teacher romance and this one totally fit the bill.
I really liked Elliott and Sam. Their chemistry was apparent from the very start and I was as all-in on the two of them as Elliott was, even with the complications. This is a short book, so things escalated between them pretty quickly. (No, this is NOT me complaining.) The sexy times were plentiful and hot AF. Elliott had a filthy mouth and y'all know how much I love that. But more than the sexy times, I found the romance satisfying. The ladies of London Hale pack a whole lot of romance into a short number of pages and I am here for it. All of it.
If you like bite-sized doses of hot, filthy romance, I hope you're reading London Hale's books. These ladies write smut with substance and I love it. I'm not sure what I'm going to do when there are no more London Hale books to read, to be honest. I guess that's where re-reads come in, huh?

This was a quick and steamy read. You can read this book in about an hour or two.
Elliott Goodridge is the new Dean and getting his flirt on with the hot barista and Bundt and Grind. Little did he know, that Samantha Monroe is a student at said university, but her father is one of the trustees. Oh, this could be interesting.
As much as Elliott tried to stay away from Samantha until way after graduation, he can't seem to get her off his mind. She has been a running loop in every sexual fantasy Elliott has ever had. So after much debate, he convinces her to keep their relationship under wrap.
As mentioned above, Seducing His Student is a very quick and steamy read. Having said that, from the synopsis, I thought it was going to delve more into something else, but nonetheless, I really enjoyed the book. Could it have had a little more angst or drama, sure, but the author hit all the notes it needed to gain for a quick read.

A quick fast read by London Hale. Elliot Goodridge is the new young dean of students of a small college. Every morning he flirts with the young barista that he has wanted for over two months. When he finally makes his move he discovers she is the trustee daughter and a senior at the college he works at. Can they keep their hands off each other while she is still a student? I love Elliot's filthy mouth
Elliott and Sam and hot! Hot quick read that I enjoyed! I would love to see another book with them! They have so much to offer in another book!
This was pretty good. I thought the chemistry between the two characters was believable, even though it was a little insta-loveish to me. But seeing as how it's only 23,000 words, things are a little more rushed than a full length novel. Regardless, I enjoyed the read. The dual POVs were unique, and I really liked Sam's character, as well as Elliott's. I definitely need to check out more writing from this duo of writers.
This is a quick read with a bit of taboo drama. The chemistry between Elliott and Samantha is off the charts hot. Elliott’s new job as Dean of Students means that Sam is off limits but will their attraction be denied? Entertaining read with plenty of steam. I liked it!
It’s like in a book, when a barista and the handsome customer click and flirt and then he finally seizes the opportunity to ask her out, and the have a date. A start for the perfect romance, right?
Sam is a barista at Bundt n’ Grind and her favorite customer is Dean. Dean is actually Elliott – her Dean of Students at Temperance Falls.
But she doesn’t know that.
Elliott is loving his morning coffee, and Sam’s freckles. When he decides the time has come for him to ask her out, he doesn’t expect her father to introduce them when its time for their date, for him to realize his date is his student and her father is his boss.
Did I mention Elliott’s predecessor was booted out due to inappropriate relations with students? Yikes.
They now must navigate the short time Sam has before she graduates and they can be together. But Elliott can’t bear to see Sam with a guy, and they can’t keep their hands off each other. They hide and they manage to hide their relationship for a very short while before they’re found out.
And now they face the music. Which mostly consists of Sam’s father shouting in his bosses office.
The key to managing these situations, folks, is diplomacy. And Elliott is a master.
I loved the smut, the way the whole story is packaged and the fact that even while there’s drama, it’s all light and fun.
*THANKS THE AUTHORS, NETGALLEY AND CARINA PRESS FOR THIS COPY.
This was a fun, sexy summer read. Highly recommend for a day lying on the beach or at the pool!
Loved. Quick, dirty, and full of heart. The angst is stellar.
Thank you Carina Press and NetGalley for the ARC!
A very well written story. It is a short and easy read. I like the story line and plot. It has a lot of twists and turns that was not suspected. The characters are well described and I like the dual POV. That gives the reader the answers to a lot of emotions and thoughts the characters may have. There is steamy scenes and hot feelings. Lots of great chemistry makes the couple fit well together.
I can only recommend this story.
I received the ARC from netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
I've enjoyed London Hale's books in the past, but unfortunately, Seducing His Student missed the mark for me. It's billed as a taboo romance--which it is, in a sense--but elements of insta-love and a too neatly wrapped-up ending didn't work for me.
College student Samantha works at the local coffee shop when she's not working at her parents' marina. She's two weeks from graduation, after which she'll be at the marina full time. At the coffee shop, Sam frequently waits on Elliott, who's new in town. The two have been flirting for weeks when he finally asks her out. A case of mistaken identity results in the realization that Elliott is the new dean of students--at Sam's college. To make matters worse, Sam's dad is on the board of trustees.
There's a forbidden aspect to Sam and Elliott's attraction, for obvious reasons, but the taboo angle felt a bit forced. True, Sam is a student, but she's also two weeks from graduation. Additionally, Elliott isn't Sam's teacher--he's an administrator, so they've had no direct interactions in an educational capacity. Technicalities, sure--the relationship is still inappropriate--but ones that lessened the forbidden quality of their relationship, in my mind.
What the book has going for it is an abundance of sex scenes, but even those felt disconnected and even repetitive after a while. Sam and Elliott have a sexual connection, but what do they have beyond that? By the end of the book, it still wasn't clear to me why Elliott is so obsessed with Sam (other than her abundance of freckles, which he mentions quite frequently) or vice versa (other than the fact that Sam finds Elliott super hot).
Also, I don't know why, but every time Elliott calls Sam "princess," it kind of creeped me out. Maybe because she said she didn't like it and he insisted on continuing to call her that? At any rate, I didn't believe their instant connection, which lacked emotion even at the end of the book.
As I mentioned, I've enjoyed London Hale's other books, but a lack of emotional depth coupled with an implausible ending caused Seducing His Student to fall flat for me.
