In Braving the Wilderness, Brené Brown delves into the concept of true belonging, emphasizing the courage required to stand alone and be authentic in a fragmented world. Through a blend of research and personal anecdotes, Brown encourages readers to embrace vulnerability and engage in meaningful conversations, even on challenging topics. Her relatable and insightful approach offers a valuable perspective on cultivating genuine connections and understanding one's place in society.

The authoress is a gifted storyteller and I very much like her authenticity and her vulnerability.
But...while there are many pearls of wisdom and trueness in this book (among them the Viola Davis story, so brave and touching!), there is also some balast, too (like a very nice Facebook post amongst many nice Facebook post - nice and ringing true, but not a game changer).
While I consider this book being quite useful call in the much polarized world of the U.S. and find her call for understanding between people different than us being an important message - I also miss some depth. It feels like the authoress is on the right path to true, painful wisdom, but not there yet. But also - being on that path is a very good thing!
