This was a really unique book. While I've long enjoyed essential oils for their physical and psychological healing properties, this book introduced a new possibility for oils. I liked the emphasis on mindfulness and how a lot of the things in this book could be transferable to many different belief systems.
There are lots of essential oil books out there but this one focuses on the spiritual side, i.e. chakras, etc. This was an easy to follow guide and is a helpful resource to have in one’s collection.
A wonderfully well researched book on the different modalities of using essential oils . The author has covered every aspect here that one may need to move forward in spiritual practice with essential oils. I appreciate that I was able to receive this book via Net Galley as I found it useful, informative and essential to my own practice. Thank, you .
To know about the uses and effects of all oils used in spiritual practice........
Brilliant introduction to using essential oils. Will be buying a copy so I've got it to hand. Very helpful and informative.
Definitely a different slant on the use and philosophies behind essential oil use. Will make a great reference for adding more layers to chakra healing, and other modalities.
A great book offering much more than just essential oils. Covers a variety of topics and aims to help you personalise your own selection of practises and oils. Definitely different from other essential oil books and aimed at people looking for the spiritual connection. It is a reference book to keep on your shelf and refer back to as and when needed. Thank you
First a special thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to read this book in advance. This book provides a great amount of references and background history/information before leading into each topic. The topics include spiritual alchemy, divine archetypes, tattvas, chakras, emptiness, choosing/using essential oils, choosing/using basic oils, self-study, deepening connections, divination, formulations, sacred jewelry, mantras and yantras, finger signatures, numerological signatures, and rituals. The book also lists resources, a bibliography, and has an index.
It is extremely easy to navigate and locate what you need to find and information seems thoroughly explained. I'd highly recommend!
A different look at essential oils. Candice Covington covers essential oils in a totally different manner than the many average books on essential oils that are out there. Many of the books on essential oils discuss what oils for what ailments. Essential Oils in Spiritual Practice looks deeper, explaining among other things, The Tattvas, the Five Great Elements, earth, water, fire, air/wind, and ether/space and how we all have a unique combination of these energies behind our personal characteristics. She talks about how each oil works with the Tattvas unique to you. She discusses much more including sacred jewelry, Mantras, and numerological signatures and more. I found this to be an interesting and informative book.
